This place is under new ownership now, and is slowly releasing a Vietnamese menu. We had the beef Phở tonight, take out, and it was THEBESTPHO I’VEHADOUTSIDEOFLOSANGELES! Friendly and helpful staff, easy payment, and a lot of delicious, fresh phở, with tons of basil, and lean meats. Do yourself a favor and try this place!

So, the food isn’t that great there. But what put me over the top for the 1 star rating was the fact that there is an Entertainment Book coupon for buy one, get one item free. That is the main reason we went there this morning. There is a sign at the cash register that says how they will not honor it. WTF??? They are the ONLY location in town, so it’s not like it’s a location that is not honoring it while the rest do. We left upon seeing this. So, way to go… you lost ALL our business because you wouldn’t honor a freakin’ coupon that has a maxium value of $ 7. We wouldv’e spent $ 10+ on food there beyond the coupon. And when I called to inquire about why they aren’t accepting it, the owner gave me MAJOR attitude. I won’t patronize businesses that treat their customers like that.

So, while I was eating my eggelet, I was thinking back and forth about whether to give this place two or three stars… but if I’m thinking about Unilocal ratings as I’m eating food… that can’t be a good sign. I like the idea of this place because it’s like an omelet version of Subway. You walk in and there is a station where you can see all the omelet fillers to add to your eggy pie. In addition to that, is a nice menu of preset omelet classics. I wanted something lighter so I opted for the Greek Omelet — black olives, spinach, red onions topped with feta cheese and red chili pepper flakes. Sounds eggcelent right?!! For the folks who don’t write Unilocal reviews, if you select two stars, Unilocal has this message that appears to the side of the rating scale saying«Meh. I’ve experienced better.» That’s eggxactly how I feel about this place! When I walked in, I was surprised to see how smoky it was! I guess cooking omelets can get a little steamy so whatevs… there was the occasional fly buzzing around, but again, I don’t really care. For 8 bucks, I got the greek omelet and for my two sides I got a biscuit and fruit. The omelet was decent, but I felt like I totally could have made it at home. The biscuit was aaaaaight but seemed like it had been sitting out for a while. I only took a couple of bites and was done with it. The fruit… umm… I didn’t get it! Like… I think it was canned Dole fruit chunks. but what the chunks were suppose to be? I couldn’t tell you other then this: 1. Yellow triangle fruit — looked like pineapple, tasted like ??? 2. Yellow cube fruit — looked like ??? tasted like syrup 3. Orange cube fruit — looked like ??? tasted like ??? At least I got a free coffee with my meal… but wait… it was so damn hot that it sat on my table the entire time! It was no joke like law-suit hot!!! So before I left I dumped my coffee out, threw away the ??? fruits, tossed the meh-biscuit and left smelling like greasy cafeteria. Even though I was only eggsposed for 15 minutes, as I drove away, the oily smell followed me like a lost puppy dog… eww. So I suppose if you don’t feel like making an omelet at home, try this place… but I’m afraid this place didn’t meet my eggspectations so I won’t be back…
