Michaels

Michael’s offers a great variety of craft activities and necessary supplies. My recent trip here I was on the hunt for a very specific item which I quickly discovered they did not have but that is ok, etsy did. I do appreciate the large amount of staff running around the store as well as the nicely organized aisles.

I can truly say this particular Michael’s is a scrapbook wonderland ! This is the only Michael’s I have ever seen with such a vision and unique floor plan as this. Every scrapper dreams of such a wondrous sight. Rather than the same boring rows of product, there are small walls of product to wonder through and corners to peek around. This Michael’s is a true experience! Big box stores often get such a bad name, but this particular location has done something magical. True, it may not ever have the double sided pattern papers of my dreams, and it may be missing a few things I was really looking for, but this was just such a breath of fresh air to find a Michael’s doing it right! I will make it a point to visit my parents more often, knowing a trip to this Michael’s will be on my list of things to do in Omaha, NE!

This Michael’s here is much the same as the other Michael’s I’ve been to, but seems a little less hectic. They have everything you need as far as craft supplies, framing, or pretty much anything you need do be creative. I love how as you walk in, it smells like cinnamon. I didn’t see too many salespeople around the store, maybe it’s because it was in the morning? I’m not sure, but when I checked out at the register, they were very friendly and they even made sure no one was waiting in line for too long. I love how the lady at the register also made sure I put in my Michael’s reward card! At the other Michael’s stores, they ask, but never told me I can put in my own phone number on the key pad! I’m so glad I finally found out, now I can actually USE my card! Another cool thing about this Michael’s is that their cash register computer screen is framed with a frame! That’s so cool. I’m not sure if other Michael’s stores have that, but I suppose maybe I wasn’t paying attention. In all, I do like this Michael’s a little better than the others mostly because I didn’t feel as if I was just another customer to the cashier. She made me feel as if I was her only customer that day. Plus too, it felt really calming in here due to the fact it was less hectic and smelt great :)
