I came to Omaha from California to watch a concert at the Holland Performance Arts center. Unfortunately I had not counted on it being 28degrees when I arrived. Desperately, I looked for a place where to buy warmer clothes, however it seemed that there are no clothing stores close to downtown area(since I did not have a car I had to make due with what I found in the Old Market). So I found this place as pretty much all there was to buy warm shoes and jackets. Large selection of coats and stuffs however most seem to be very outdated and mostly overpriced pieces($ 55 for a pair of cloth gloves with a small strip of leather on them seem a bit excessive to me). Some of their shoes are handcrafted, however they appear to be of very low quality stitching. The girl that helped us was a delight, very prompt and friendly. Now, on with my personal experience! A big minus from this place was a guy(I don’t know if it was the manager or the owner) but kept going where we were, not so subtly to check ‘what we were doing’ casing us to see if we were ‘just shopping’. He would move right behind us and peer from behind the boxes at us. It’s true, I’m Hispanic but this was just way too much, it just couldn’t have been coincidence. Right when we were going to pay he insisted to the clerk that she get my name«For billing purposes of course», and seemed really surprised when I handed him my credit card(as if I wouldn’t have one). I bought the shoes because I really needed them, the weather was colder than what I had packed for my trip and apparently there are no freaking malls close to downtown Omaha. I would have left if I knew there were any clothing stores close to where I was in a heart beat! Seriously, for a $ 159.00 pair of shoes it was totally not worth the harassment.

I liked shopping here. Friendly service, great selection. Quality items. Bought my wife a gift here(purse), wait for it… Made in the USA. ;) not everything is of course, most things are not but still, refreshing.
