I went here about a week ago, and it was by far one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. When I went there I tried to order a waffle(it was around breakfast time, and they’re mostly a breakfast place), and the lady very rudely informed me that they were out of waffles. I instead decided to get an omelet, and when I finished ordering she said«that’s all?!» with a rude tone and look on her face. I then decided to sit down, and when my food came the guy just slammed it down on the table. Not only was the staff rude, but my omelet was underdone(and leaking all over the plate), my fruit was rotten, and my toast was burnt. I ended up spending most of my day throwing up, because I got food poisoning. Not to mention the fact that I emailed them to tell them about my experience, and they still haven’t gotten back to me when it has been over a week since I sent the email. I absolutely do not recommend this place to ANYONE.

The food was alright at best, and the service was slow. Although I go there for dinner exclusively, I hear it is much more pleasant over the lunch hour.

Great food, sandwiches, salads, soups, baked goods. But I very much miss the comfy couch and chairs they used to have.

Not satisfied with the nasty salad I was served. Tried contacting the company but got no responses.

I had catering from this restaurant and it was delicious. I ordered half the chicken walnut sandwhich and pasta salad with the cookie for only $ 7. Good deal and taste.

I really like coming here. It’s a pleasant place for a «sandwich/salad/coffee shop»; the food is good; the service has always been good every time I’ve been here, and the prices are good. The patio seating is very pleasant, and the indoor seating is nice as well. My absolute favorite is the Asian Chicken Salad. So good! I’m definitely a regular!

I went here with my mom last week and it was just okay. It’s basically a Panera which means they have fresh sandwiches, soups and coffee. I ordered the Paradise Club sandwich and a bowl of their clam chowder. The sandwich was okay and the soup was meh. The soup tasted just like Campbell’s Chunky soup. It was so bland. The cookies were fantastic and is the only ‘saving grace’ for this review. I don’t plan on going back any time soon.

I am not sure why the ratings are ok. The two meals I’ve had were quite good and reasonably priced, the noon lunch line was long but employees did everything to speed the process. lunch choose two special was fantastic, will be back often.

Can I give a 0. Let me explain. We eat out a lot — there’s hardly anything else to do in Omaha. I have had my fair shares of really awesome restaurants and some really awful ones. Paradise Bakery at Regency hands down qualifies for the later. Most bad restaurants have at least some thing going for them — good food but bad service or vice versa — Paradise Bakery is so unique that way — its horrendous in every thing it does. Bad food, awful service and complicated ordering system. So we went for lunch today around 2:00PM hoping its after lunch hours. There were about 6 people in line — and it took almost 20 minutes to place our order. The reason being a complicated ordering system — I am sure developed by a rocket scientist where two different people taking orders — one for sandwiches and the other for salads and soups. It invariably slowed things down when after placing your sandwich order you are still waiting to place the salad order since the person is preparing the salad. So after spending 20 minutes we placed orders for their chicken wild rice soup, a sandwich and a salad. THe chicken wild rice soup and the salad was delivered at the check out counter with the sandwich to be delivered later. The soup was the WORST — I have ever eaten in my life. The soup was cold — the chicken was cubed up as dropped off from a frozen box and the soup itself runny. When you charge like Panera one will expect the soup would have the same quality like them. The salad wasn’t bad but again for the price they tasted more McD than Panera. In the meantime twenty minutes have passed and we are still waiting for our sandwich. We go and ask the lady at the counter and she brusquely replies — it takes time to make the sandwich and its still being prepared(yeah twenty minutes for a sanwich) We come back to our table and realize atleast 3 – 4 people behind us had got their sandwiches. We then ask for the manager who doesn’t even want to listen to us. He says that they are short staffed(yet to hear any apologies from any one yet) and that he would pay us money back. When asked if you are short staffed how come people behind us got their sandwich, he just asks for our receipt and pays us back. As if the only reason we are complaining is that we want our money back. In the entire one hour ordeal — we were yet to hear a word of apology from any employees at Paradise. Of all my years in Omaha I have never felt so unwelcome in an establishment. Us being the only non-white at that establishment prompted this surly behavior. Well I am never going back to find out. Overall this was one of the worst experiences we ever had in an eatery here in Omaha

Good food at a reasonable price… lacking table service. I think the food quality is better at Panera but the baked goods are better here.

My wife and I showed up hoping for an experience similar to our memories of this place from years past. Strike one: We waited behind the counter of the near empty restaurant for about 3 minutes before someone appeared. When someone appeared, there was no greeting or apologies for our waiting, simply an inquiry about sandwiches we might want to order. Strike two: The meatball panini I ordered was tasty, but the meatballs were ice cold! This made the sandwich frustrating to eat. My wife’s cranberry salad had surprise pieces of mandarin orange. She wasn’t happy about that either. Strike three: My wife ordered a pick two with a turkey cranberry sandwich. She waited patiently after my sandwich arrived and hers never showed. She approached the counter who acted confused about the ordeal. Her sandwich had never been called out for preparation, and the very person who took our order asked her«who took your order?». This was a dismal experience, subpar as my wife put it. With so many options in the area, we won’t be returning.

I think this place is basically trying to be an upscale Panera. Which is funny because their pricing is very similar. Same concept. Sandwiches, soups, and salads along with a smatter of baked goods. Paradise emphasizes the café side of the business more than Panera does. Food is good. Not spectacular, but good. I enjoy their Chicken Walnut Salad on their Molasses Bread. Decent variety of soups and salads too. Employees are generally nice. There is a bit of confusion for the novice as to who you order what from and whether it’s okay to bypass somebody waiting on something and whatnot. The employees could be better at directing customers and the regular customers could be a LOT nicer to people who don’t have process memorized. Restaurant is clean and well-maintained. Nice outdoor dining area too.

Not very friendly service. I went with my mom and brother and none of the employees even looked at us for about five minutes. I was ready to leave when one trudged over and asked if we wanted to order a sandwich… Anyhow, price for all 3 of us to get lunch was 29.70. Overall it was decent but not amazing. The service ruined it for me, I probably won’t be going back.

Pretty sterile environment, complete with smooth jazz background music. Still, Paradise fits in well with the uppity vibe of Regency Court. I had a half California Club(turkey and bacon) with a small mixed greens salad for less than $ 10. Good bread and fresher-than-normal vegetables. Sliced turkey was average. I definitely prefer this place to other casual dining competitors like Panera. The staff was nice and friendly.

Go during lunch mon-fri and prepare to wait. It’s worth it though, good paninis and soups. Love the free cookie.

I’ve dismissed Paradise as being another Panera; I was wrong. My mother finally convinced me yesterday to accompany her for lunch at Paradise. A «You Choose Two» meal and a drink ran us a little over $ 11. For our«You Choose Two» we had the Asian Chicken Salad and the Chicken Walnut Sandwich. The salad really hit the spot. The sandwich was good — delicious whole walnuts and break included — but the chicken had that day-old chicken taste. Perhaps I’m too picky with my meats. And with the meal came a chocolate chip cookie; a nice hit of sugar at the end of a salty meal. Course, I didn’t get to the chocolate chip cookie because my mom purchased a little container of cookies, and the chocolate ones were especially delicious. Sugary but delicious. You will not find a bargain here, but you will find made-to-order fresh foods and delicious cookies in a trendy bakery atmosphere. The staff was nice and this really seemed to be the place to be.

I love this place! Came here three time during my visit in Omaha because it is located right accross the street from the hotel I am staying at. First time I had the oatmeal and a latte. I enjoyed it in their outside patio area. It was totally relaxing. 2nd and 3rd time, i came in for their flavored coffee and their toasted bagel with cream cheese. I got the bagel with poppy seed, sesame seed and sea salt on it and was remarkable. I got this two days in a row for breakfast… so good.

The salad was OK. Southwest Chicken Caesar. But it lacked some ingredients and was way too simple. Avocado would be nice. Enough cheese to actually notice would be nice. Better mixed greens instead of romaine would be nice(I know… it is a Caesar). But it was OK in taste. Bonuses: Friendly staff at the very bitter end of their evening(8pm), Diet Dr Pepper and Coke Zero at the fountain… my absolute two favorite sodas on the planet.

I love Paradise’s sandwiches, and their cookies are pretty addictive. I guess their soup is good too, but I’ve only ever eaten their catered lunches(which are always winners, btw). Good quality ingredients, delicious bread and Ms Vickie’s chips. Better than most other sandwich places that cater.
