Love Salt 88. I work at Hank & Ax A Salon in the same complex and frequent Salt after work with my coworkers often. They have a great happy hour — delicious appetizers and awesome cocktails.(Avocado egg rolls and dirty martini are my favorite.) Salt is definitely a place to try out!

I asked for a recommendation for a late lunch from the bartender. She recommend the chicken Terra … Very good flavor. I think what made the dining experience even more enjoyable is that they give you Cotton Candy at the end, can’t beat that!

Took my wife out here don’t think it was a special occasion just out to eat I like to go to new places that are kind of fancy I like the décor of this place the service was a little slow but friendly and I’m going to be honest the food was not quite worth the price I’m not saying the food was bad I’m just saying that for $ 100 meal I expect better food. However the desserts were excellent. And definitely worth the price we have gone back a couple times so I will say that you know even though the food is not the greatest we do like the atmosphere and the service has gotten better the food has improved slightly I will admit that. But it’s really not worth the $ 100 I spend on myself and my wife to eat there though sometimes they surprise you with a dish that is actually pretty good but mostly we go back for the desserts and I will admit we have gone there just to have dessert.

Salt 88 is our go to restaurant. They have a gluten free menu which is a bonus for me. Plus a completely separate area for gf pizza prep and cooking. In addition to the pizza, I love the Salmon dishes and the Spicy Low Mein. Happy Hour has great specials and can’t wait for the weather to get nice so we can enjoy the patio.

The food was good and the portions weren’t large, which I like. The décor is nice and modern. I’m not a fan of the cotten candy though.

I made the drive out from Bellevue hoping this place would be as awesome as its patio looks online, and it was. While waiting for my table they butler hors d’oeuvres to you which made me want to squeaky style wipe my eyes on disbelief. I also went to pee in this waiting time and their handicap stall in the women’s restroom was bigger than my college dorm room. So luxurious. Then I had an IPA suggested to me by the waitress, and got their grilled chicken which was the most tender chicken I’ve ever had. The view of the golf course from their patio seating was killer as the sunset, and the surprise free cotton candy our table got at the end made me realize what every meal in my life had been missing up to that point. Truly a great dining experience.

Surprisingly, I hadn’t been to Salt 88 despite having driven by it nearly every day for six years. It too my father-in-law’s birthday to change that and I must, say, that I was impressed. While I am not much of a seafood eater, I managed to find enough options to my liking. I ended up ordering the pesto chicken pizza. The crust of the pizza was perfect. It was thin, crispy, and cooked to perfection. The pizza itself which fontina cheese, sundried tomatos, chicken, and pesto was very good. I found the drink menu a bit lacking but the Omaha ice water was solid. Next time, I’ll go back for happy hour on the patio once it warms up.

Salt 88 seem’s very familiar to the new style of restaurants coming out. Friendly greeting upon walking in. Nice open layout with plenty of light and good décor. Our waiter was perfect. Helpful with his knowledge of the wine on what to recommend. very friendly and personable. I was disappointed that there are no chefs specials??? And they were out of some food items. Found the lack of a chefs daily really weird? The calamari was nicely prepared and very tender and flavorful, I really enjoyed it. and will return when I am looking for some good Calamari. I did not so much love my pasta dish and found it to be lacking in flavor and blandish. We were still working on appetizers when the dinner came, a bit awkward. The caramel desert was crumpled up and smushed. tasted good but presentation failed. Overall for the price of what we spent I felt unimpressed. two people with wine was over $ 140.

I feel like I hand out 5 stars too much but if there’s no reason to dock em then I won’t. Salt 88 was wonderful. A great balance between modern chic and comfort. The décor is beautiful. We had a greaaaat server. It was a lil higher priced than I was expecting but I think you get your money’s worth; the food was spectacular. I recommend the goat cheese crab rangoon(a lil rich, but amazing). And I’m obsessed with the buffalo mozzarella ravioli! Some of the best pasta I’ve had in awhile. It was a great place for restaurant week. And decent food and drink happy hour, FYI.

Hits and misses overall. My wife and I decided to try this place out as we are fans of Hiro 88. The interior is nice and open, but a bit loud, but not a big deal. We started with a couple appetizers, my wife the Mussels, and myself the Goat Cheese Rangoon. Both were very good, and probably the highlight of the meal. The Mussels were small, but still flavorful, and a large portion. The Goat Cheese Rangoon were very rich and hit the spot for me. So far, so good. The first miss was that my soup and my wife’s salad both came before we were even half way done with our appetizers(and I’m not one to eat slow). Both were okay, but staggering courses should be the norm. For the main course I got the Sirloin, and my wife a Salmon course. My steak was cooked to order, and was okay, I have had better and worse elsewhere. My wife’s Salmon looked to be prepared well, however after a few bites she wondered why she was having a hard time cutting through it all the way. The bottom was completely overlooked as it was basically burned and should have not have been served. She was already many bites in, so she simply picked off the top. As is standard here, there was the complimentary cotton candy to top the night off. All in all, it was great to try somewhere new, but I am not sure that this will enter the rotation with a couple misses that we experienced.

Salt 88 is decorated beautifully with modern clean lines, posh art, high ceilings, and crisp white walls. I felt like I was under the sea. The service was top notch. Our server was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The lunch menu prices were beyond reasonable. Perfect portions for the price. I ordered the veggie burger without the bun(they did not have a gluten free option) and a side salad with the wait for it… Carrot Ginger Dressing! It was exceptional. I never ate a salad so fast. I like that the restaurant is a local establishment. Overall it was a great experience. Glad I found it during my visit in Omaha.

Good food but the menu leaves more to be desired — especially for the prices you pay.

Nice happy hour, really good beer selection for a happy hour. We ordered several different appetizers along with a flat bread pizza. Everything was good. It was a busy Friday evening but the wait staff was prepared. Food came out quickly and was freshly prepared. We finished up with toffee cheesecake which was tasty but a little overpriced for the size of it. We will be back soon.

I LOVE Salt!!! I think I’ve eaten here three times and we get take out sometimes too! I’m vegetarian and the buffalo mozzarella ravioli is to die for! My mom isn’t and she loved it as well as the sausage/links appetizer. We also loved the appetizer with the melted cheese and bread. Last time I went here with a friend, we ordered the bread platter, and it was great! She ordered the Jo Geez(goat cheese) pizza, which was amazing! I love the food here, and the staff is always knowledgeable and friendly. And the complimentary cotton candy at the end of meals is a great bonus! I would definitely stop by more often if I had more money… I’m moving this fall, and Salt will be missed!

For the most part, this place is amazing. the service was amazing. The waitress was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and also fun to talk to. The food was a hit and miss. We started with the goat cheese ragoons which were the best ragoons I have ever had! The tomato-basil bisque was also the best I ever had! For the main course I had the sirloin pusanesca(I’m pretty sure I spelled that wrong). And it was delicious! The steak was cooked accurately and the sauce and mash was great! My date had the pear and goat cheese pizza, which was something that I didn’t enjoy very much, mainly because it was on the sweet side(taste like a waffle with maple syrup). The toffee encrusted cheesecake was difficult to eat. There was hardly any cheesecake in it and the toffee crumble was WAY too sweet. the drinks here were amazing. I had the jimmy Hendricks ad the Lucky Bucket Belly Flop. I recommend both All in all, I would definitely come here again!

I went to Salt 88 with a large group of friends(10 total) — we started at the bar — I had the Raspberry Mojito — it was amazing! The drink was fairly pricey, but that was sort of expected — especially with how good it was! You MUST try it! I loved the atmosphere — trendy, contemporary, foodie, but not stuffy or stuck-up at all! We went on a Friday night and the restaurant was very busy! Our large group gathered on one side of the bar — there were only two bar seats available, so we felt a little in the way. There isn’t much of a waiting room — so we sort of felt like we weren’t sure where to stand to make sure we were out of the way — this is the only bad thing about the place/experience. I ordered the Penne Asparago(penne noodles, asparagus, mushrooms, chicken in a white sauce) — it was good — I would like it to have a little more flavor — and will likely order something else the next time we’re there. My husband ordered a dish that was originally a shrimp pasta, but not being a fan of seafood, he asked if they would swap out the shrimp for chicken and they were more than happy to do that! He said that his dish was amazing!(I didn’t even get to try it!!!) :) We also ordered the Goat Cheese Pizza — it’s probably called something more creative than that — but that’s what I can remember :) — it was fabulous! I was a little nervous that it would be too goat-cheesey, but it was not. The crust was fabulous — nice and thin — hand-tossed, delicious! There were ten of us, and everyone left happy! Definitely suggest this — we are planning another visit soon! My husband was ready to go back the next evening!

I have only been to Salt for happy hour(all day on Sunday!) and for drinks. While I really enjoyed their happy hour specials, I was not impressed enough by their dinner menu(or the prices) to try a full meal here. They also have fantastic drinks! I have tried their swai tacos(excellent), Tuscan Frites(good), and their calamari(very good). I have tried several of their drinks including the Make it Rain, Eagle Rum, and the Jimmy Hendricks and all of them were delicious. They use really interesting and fresh ingredients and you can really tell in the flavor of the drinks. Of course they also have their signature cotton candy which is a super fun option. The menu is eclectic and unique. They have a really interesting menu that is sort of a collection of Asian/Southwest/American options. It is a great option for happy hour and maybe one of these days I will pull the trigger and go here for a full meal.

Everything was spot on! I have yet to find a darn thing I don’t love about Salt 88!!! Check out their patio that overlooks the golf course… zen and beautiful. Pizza to pasta, it has become a personal favorite. Wait staff are informed and gracious, too.

This was my first experience eating at Salt. I came here for lunch, although my dining companions strongly recommended Salt for their reverse happy hour. They do have a lunch menu, and I ordered the meatball sandwich with salad. The high point was the flavorful meatballs, which were delicious dipped in the side of marinara. It had small pieces of tomato and was light and flavored with olive oil. The sandwich was served On toasted bread, which was toasted to perfection and stood up to the saucy meatballs without making a mess! The low point was the side salad. There was not enough dressing, and I expected more vegetables other than lettuce for a $ 10 lunch. I suggest ordering the soup instead of salad. The décor on the inside is beautiful, and I look forward to returning for happy hour.
