After one of my laser hair removal treatments, I asked if anyone was available for a cut/color. I was nervous, because there are some rough reviews on here. That being said, I had a great experience. I asked for more bangs, and some highlights to blend in my roots a bit(and allow them to grow out to my natural color). Got exactly what I was looking for!

Greeted immediately, complimented on my outfit and offered something to drink. Had a nice time talking while she did a decent job with both highlights and the cut. I didn’t have any of the issues mentioned in previous reviews, found the salon tidy and staff was friendly, talking to both each other and customers.

DONOT buy a groupon for here. You will be treated terribly! DONOT have service done here unless you are in high school or at least act like you are. What a terrible experience. The stylist talked crap about me to my daughter when I went to the restroom. To my daughter! When she cut my hair she simply hacked off the bottom, I had to remind her to trim my layers and frame my face! Are you serious? Now I usually give it a day or two before I totally judge a haircut but just got up and fixed my hair, or tried to with what’s left of it. Looks like I’m going with a bun until I can get this mess fixed by a professional! Thoroughly upset with this salon! Personally if it were my business I would use the groupon to bring in business, not to drive it away, this salon does not get it!

Holy disappointment batman. Mostly my fault — I knew not to trust the lady on the phone promising that all their stylists are comfortable with curly hair. Who are they kidding? I don’t even have super curls — just 2b level, and no one can get it right. The salon itself was unfriendly and messy. I refer to the vibe as «catty» since the girls spent most of their client time talking to each other across the room rather than their clients, and then in the back room loudly discussing their clients and cackling. You are at work, not social hour, and I believe your attitude should reflect awareness of being in a professional environment especially when clients are present… Anyway, it was pretty bad. I wasn’t greeted when I arrived, my stylist never introduced herself or went through the usual niceties — was awkward. She recovered and was beautiful and nice throughout, but then the technique was lacking and uninspired(and she still never introduced herself). My only request was to have varied/textured layers to avoid the dreaded triangle of curly hair. That didn’t even attempt to happen. 3 inches of layers were cut in at a consistent angle, with no texture to avoid a triangle or long layers to get curl into the top half of my head. I asked for it to be styled with curls since my main concern had been a curl-friendly cut, and I was then sat under a dryer that could only dry the top half of my head(which had no curls since there were no layers). She finally realized that wasn’t going to do anything, so she found a diffuser and made efforts to dry it curly, which included raking her fingers down through my curls throughout the drying process(stringy & limp). The highlight, however, was when I asked about the drastic step in lengths from the hair in front of my ears to the layer behind it. My stylist responded with«well I didn’t cut that!.. I didn’t do any face framing» I can’t make this stuff up. First off, she did cut it — she gathered all the hair on my crown and cut it for the layers, and neglected to make the connection that the sharp step of hair was that same hair. Second off, if it had been that way when I arrived, why wouldn’t she have fixed it? I obviously wanted styled hair and had requested layers and a cut that would look good straight or curly, so what part of a 3″ abrupt drop seemed like a winning look? The one star is for my color. I’m sure it will be gone in a few days like most reds, but it looked good and mostly even when I left. Unfortunately I have chunks of color all over my scalp and hairline that I have never before seen when leaving a salon. Photos are included. Will have to shower sooner than expected! I called the only Devacurl stylist in town(Katie at Bungalow 8) as I drove away, but she is tragically booked up for the next 3 weeks. Yet another Groupon temptation that I will regret(for about the next 3 weeks). *******Update & response to the salon’s comments ******* I have not been contacted by Jenny(or anyone) as promised in the below reply… yet another reason to be wary of this place! They used the correct number when calling to confirm my appointment, and it is pretty easy to contact me through Unilocal… but lets give them the benefit of the doubt on the ‘trying to contact’ me thing! I am not rewarded by Unilocal for my reviews. I have earned Elite status because of the number and content of my reviews, which are assessed annually for fairness and detail. Please take a look at my profile for the glowing reviews of other salons I have visited(including another awkward start, which was trumped by stellar service and amazing eyelash results, thus I rated her highly!). I have written 255-star reviews, 294-star reviews, and this is one of 141-star reviews. I certainly would have written a positive review for this salon had I received anything more than awful styling, and find it slanderous that the owner would imply they would not have had an opportunity to make me happy. I am hugely(and appropriately) critical of bad customer service and bad results, but so thrilled when my smiles are returned and I am treated well that I enjoy sharing the positive experiences much more than laboring over memories of the bad ones. Customer service is a dying art. Based on my experience at Skincerely Yours, and the owners bitter response to my honest review, it is clear that the smiles and kindness I look for in any service industry are not a focus for them.

Pretty disappointed. Don’t get the lash extensions. The lady doing them was great & nice but honestly it’s only been a week and my eyelashes look awful. I think my natural lashes look better than what I have right now. Half of them fell out and one eye is currently significantly more fuller than the other. Literally I have about 6 eyelashes on one eye. I am not one to complain about this type of thing but $ 145, I repeat, $ 145(130&15 tip) for this was NOT worth it. Don’t go here for eyelash extensions. :(

I get my hair done by Stacey and she is amazing. I went to her wanting highlights but not sure of the color and she was able to take my ideas and blend them together to make the perfect color!!! She also does an amazing job with my hair, which is not easy since I have natural hair. The prices here are also very reasonable and they are good about working on your schedule even if you have to come in the evenings. All in all, this is a wonderful salon.

I get my waxing and facials with Holly and she is an artist! I have followed her from two other spas over the years and will never use anyone else. This location has a fun upbeat atmosphere in the salon and it’s calm and serene in the spa. I love the metallic silver back wall! I haven’t tried any of the hairstylists yet but I look forward to it.

I hadn’t had my skin worked on since my wedding, so I didn’t know what to expect in terms of pricing or even procedure. Jamie did a great job of telling me what to expect and delivering an AMAZING peel and facial. Totally relaxing, very professional and incredibly reasonably priced, her«bedside» manner is perfect. Really loved my Skincerely Experience!
