We go to Sunrize on a regular basis. Consistently fresh and delicious with a wide selection and very reasonable prices. Sunrize is very under-rated. We prefer them over LaMar’s, Krispy Kreme and Winchell’s. Simply the best and locally owned/operated.

If I’m going to eat something deliciously terrible for me, this is my go-to place. I’m not willing to waste a «splurge meal» on doughnuts that are just«ok». Not only are the doughnuts really good and taste homemade, but I like the fact that I’m supporting a small business. Even when I arrived around noon on a Sat, they had a great selection. Great doughnuts and great customer service! Every time I drive by LaMar’s drive thru, I honestly can’t understand why people would choose that chain over this place. I’d be willing to bet that it’s the drive thru itself that wins people over, since it’s always jammed packed. Whatever happened to the good ol’ fashioned ‘park your car and go inside’? We used to go to LaMar’s, that is, until we discovered Sunrize Donuts!

I love getting donuts from small owner-operated shops rather than from grocery stores or big chains. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but there is just something missing in the others that comes through when you walk into an honest-to-life donut shop and stare at the racks of baked goods awaiting your selection. Most times in grocery stores, I have trouble picking out a half or whole dozen, because I run out of likes pretty quickly. At Sunrize I have the opposite problem; it is tough to narrow down the choices.

Ok, so I tried a bunch of donut places today for Free donut day and was pleasantly surprised by this place, the glazed are pretty standard, but I really liked the Maple donuts, will definitely go back if I’m out west
