Staff were pleasant and helpful. Room and common areas were clean. We stayed in a handicapped room that must have been designed by a handicapped person… the first one I’ve stayed in that really worked. The handicapped parking was close and visible from the room. The breakfast was really good… waffles, 2 cold cereals, toast, orange & apple juice, milk, coffee, yogurt, fruit, biscuits & gravy, and hard boiled eggs. For visiting Omaha this is a great place to stay, being centrally located on a main north-south road just north of I-80. Also, with NRA discount we paid just over $ 50/night.

I stayed in this hotel for the Berkshire weekend in 2013, 2011, and 2010. I wrote a 4-star review here after that first stay, but it’s declined. The staff was unremarkable and the room amenities & comfort were subpar for a Super 8. Most annoyingly, the bed dipped toward the middle and the bottom sheet was neither fitted nor large enough to tuck securely under the mattress. I just found an article saying this location was sold in early 2013, which might explain somewhat. Still a decent place to stay for Berkshire weekend in terms of value & location, but I’ll look for other places next time.

My sister and I were hesitant to stay at a Super 8 but wanted something cheap and simple during out road trip. I did a ton of research on multiple sites and this seemed to be the best option for the price($ 58). People raved of the great customer service — they were dead on about that because the guy at the front desk when we arrived late at night was incredibly kind and helpful. But that was really the best part of our experience. We got a room on the bottom floor and the moment we walked in it smelt dingy, like a basement. The carpet felt icky so we kept shoes or socks on at all times. I tried to look on the bright side, especially since everything seemed really clean. Until we saw 2 cockroaches on the bathroom floor. They were on their backs and squirming, so we assumed they had consumed poison. Of course after that we felt really uncomfortable but we were so exhausted that we didn’t feel like making a fuss. We checked the rest of the room and beds throughly, and pulled back the sheet cover(as you always should at hotels) and slept. The beds were comfortable enough to get the sleep we needed, though my sister said she didn’t sleep well. The hotel allowed dogs — my relatively quiet companion barked frequently throughout the night for some reason, maybe it was the thin walls and people going in and out of their rooms all night. Oh well. Probably won’t stay at another Super 8 because of this experience. Guess you get what you pay for.

If I could give a no star, I would. I wasn’t expecting much. Clean, spare, functional. It was anything BUT those things. Dirty, felt unsafe, all around gross. Despite having prepaid for two nights on Travelocity, I went to another hotel.

The Pros: inexpensive, clean rooms, good location relative to the interstate. Decent continental breakfast. The Cons: Lack of hot water(broken water heater which was being repaired), older furniture, no restaurant associated with the hotel but there is an expensive restaurant next door. The staff did offer me a free night due to the hot water problems.
