I had to write a review of this place because I absolutely loved living here. I wish I could have picked up the building and moved it with me! So pretty much everyone in town knows where this is. If you’ve been anywhere downtown you’ve seen the big brick building with a watertower on top. Super unique. It has a lot of history and character to it. It used to be a large Ford motor factory way back in the day, several large warehouses, and the Tip Top Hair Products company last. They kept as much of the building original as possible which is fantastic. Underground parking: awesome. Rooftop: awesome. Lounge: awesome. Fitness center: awesome. Location: awesome. I could go on listing everything I loved about living here. First off, the underground parking garage, if you’re willing to pay for it, is super nice to have in the winter and just because of the area, unfortunately there are car break ins. The rooftop has a hot tub, grills that are hooked up to natural gas, a theater with surround sound, bathrooms, and of course some dude’s penthouse. There’s also a lounge with a big TV and full kitchen on the 5th floor that’s open for everyone anytime to use. Fitness center could do with some more equipment but it is far better than most apartments. Did I mention there’s a giant water tower on the roof? Of course, with all those great things, there is of course… downsides. Dun dun dun. But they really bothered me very minimally. It’s super noisy. Wynn Trucking’s route is literally right on 16th street on the west side of the building. The semi-trucks constantly shake the building and stir up dust everywhere. Which brings me to my next point… it’s super dusty. I’m allergic to dust. I would wipe off my desk and several minutes later it was covered in dust again! Some of our windows leaked slightly, especially when it rained. It’s full of college kids so be wary of that… The homeless people like to sleep in the lobby and charge their phones or try and sneak into the garage… But honestly I was never bothered by all of it. If you’re looking for a great location within walking distance of tons of stuff to do, this is it. It’s got tons of character, everything is very new, you’ve got bars, baseball, and shopping right down the street. The rooftop itself you can spend hours on. I highly recommend checking these out if you’re looking around the area.
