I will start by saying I have never been into this store, but I do however purchase items off of their website often! Everything I have bought is on the pricier side, but it usually lasts a while. Every product has been high quality and amazing results, products I can truly stand behind and continue to recommend time and time again. I love to order off of their website because you always get free samples! You can choose product samples for hair, face, or a random selection. I usually get random. I have gotten a sample of smash box primer that I fell in love with a few months ago, it really smooths out your skin for a smooth make up application. I’ve received a few other items for the face like a moisturizer I adore. I have gotten perfume samples which I dont like, just a waste in my opinion, they usually stink anyways. Its a fun surprise to see what they send though! I buy product for my hair mostly, like cream for flat ironing that protects it from the heat. I also buy shampoos and conditioners if I don’t get them from the salon. Lots of good things to see and you can even find some really good deals on a lot of it. I need to take a trip to the store itself soon to browse!

This place is always a hit or miss. Sometimes the employees are helpful and pleasant, other times they are snooty and lackluster. I usually know exactly what I want, get in and get out.

I was just at this location a little bit ago. Lauren(I think that was her name. I hope! Lol) Dark hair, she was very helpful, knowledgeable, & honest about my skin care/makeup needs during my time in there. I have read over some of the other reviews on here including the Google reviews & would have to agree with some of these, I have had both bad & good experiences at this location, but due to the lack of Ulta’s in the area & the fact, I hate waiting when ordering things online, I come to this store. There have been times, I would walk in there & get the nastiest of looks when I don’t feel as if what I’m wearing is, «economically-challenged» for lack of a better word. Or maybe this is all just me? Not to mention, it would be like pulling teeth to get some assistance needed on a product I’m interested in. ANYWAY, moving on. Now, I am very insecure about my eczema which is obvious on certain parts of my face & once again, «LAUREN», she was understanding & assisted very well in the products that I had interest in(Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit &IT All Over Powder Brush). The only reason I took a star off was again upon arrival in there, no one bothered to greet or welcome me at the door which is pretty much expected considering every other time I go in there this has happened, but oh well, Lauren(hopefully her name) was cordial, I got what I needed, & made my visit worth the trip!

I love Ulta! Sure it’s a little pricey sometimes but it’s good quality products! Everyone is always very friendly! I just got my eyebrows waxed today. That was my first experience with their salon and I will certainly be back! I cannot remember the lady’s name who did my eyebrows but I think it started with an M and she did have pink hair! She was so friendly and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. The wax was not too hot and she plucked my eyebrows where it needed after she waxed them! She even offered me a bottle of water to take with me! The price for the eyebrow waxing was $ 16 she originally told me it would be $ 21 so I’m not sure if I got a discount for being my first time or what but I will be back!

I have had more good experiences than bad here. I am always greeted at the door, and asked if I need help. I have used the salon services and was pleased. There have been times that I go in for something specific, and they were sold out, but more times than not, I found what I was looking for. I was there today for the IT Cosmetics event. Got my makeup done by an IT consultant and ended up buying some products. I like the location, and parking is good.

I used to be an Ulta fan and a regular customer– but I have converted to Sephora. The Ulta reward system is poorly set up compared to Sephora’s. Also, the employees at Ulta are kind at checkout, but do not ask you if you need help finding anything.

I love Ulta, but I hate this specific location. I can definitely echo the sentiments of the other reviewer. If you aren’t dressed nicely, there is no way you’ll get helped. I was at this location a couple weeks ago with my partner. I am not one who typically wears makeup. My makeup collection consists of usually some mascara, lip gloss and concealer. Honestly, most days I just wear mascara and lip gloss. I am getting ready to graduate from college and will be entering the workforce so I am wanting to get into makeup more. That said, I was frantically searching for some makeup for a close friends wedding I was going to be in. I was probably one of three customers who were in the store. At first, I was in the cheapo section of the store(which pretty much guarantees you’ll not get helped) then I went to the other side of the store where they have their higher end brands. I was literally putting on samples of everything on different parts of my face. I was asking my partner if I looked okay and which one looks best and basically complaining that I literally had no idea what I was doing. This went on for 20 minutes and I was NEVER approached by an employee. I had employees walk past me and around me, but they never talked to me. I wasn’t dressed well, I think I was wearing some mesh shorts and a Cubs t-shirt. Lo and behold after 20 minutes of trying different makeups on and reading the backs of different foundations — some lady wearing a business suit and a lot(probably way too much) makeup comes in and she’s immediately greeted. I was so annoyed that I wanted to just start overturning their racks of makeup. I didn’t but I left without spending any money. I live extremely close to this location but I will make the commute to Shadow Lake whenever I want to buy something. I hope this location closes. If you want help, I suggest the Shadow Lake location. I went there a few days later and got a lot of help, immediately.(And no, I wasn’t wearing formal attire) Not sure what the problem is with the ladies who work at this location — but here is a reality check for you — You live in Nebraska, not New York City. You are not some high end fashionista’s. Stop being judgmental assholes and do your job. You give the Ulta brand a bad name.

I have been in this store twice, and it twice too many. I will never go back to this location again. This last time I went, there were more employees than customers. Not once was I asked if I needed help. Now, I understand that wearing sweat pants and flip flops clearly means I am in there to browse and not buy and I must not have any money. Another woman who came in the door after me, was greeted however she was not wearing sweat pants. I also had to walk around to another aisle while two employees were deciding what to put on some shelves(one even seemed to be the manager). Neither would move so I could walk down the aisle, let alone ask me if I needed help looking for something, which I actually did. After I gathered up my items and stood in line behind another customer who was at the register checking out, I was almost looked over by the cashier to help another customer that was standing in another line behind another cashier. I was clearly there several minutes prior. She seemed upset as if I had cut in line in front of the other customer, but I can’t hardly blame her since the other customer had walked right past me(while I was waiting to pay) and seemed to try to cut in line also. This was also the same customer I held the door for so she could walk in the store ahead of me. I have since moved that pair of sweat pants and t-shirt to the back of the closet. I am only bringing that outfit on the days I want to be the invisible superhero, which does have its perks. Knowing this, I suppose anyone who wants to shop at Ulta needs to dress to the nines before you will be helped.

Is it just me or has their fragrance selections taken a huge dive? I’m a perfume and perfume accessories person,(see perfumed body cream). Ulta had a decent selection for a time, but that combined with the lack of testers had me walking out the door. I’m not sure how you can try and justify selling a perfume you will not offer a sample of. I know they do more than perfume, but poor selection and lackluster customer service has me not wanting to return.

Ulta is a nice place to shop for cosmetics and hair products. They also have a salon. The prices are average, but they constantly have coupons and are great about letting you use them. They also have a rewards card. I like that most of the time I am left alone to browse, but if I need help they are happy to do so. Love that they are now selling a bigger selection of Zoya nail polish!
