We went to this place couple of years ago @ blonde st and they were awesome. But I really don’t remember what we ordered etc. Now they have moved to Pacific St and much more real estate but food is still the same. We went back few weeks ago and they are the best Italian in Omaha. I ordered Veal Picatta and it was very good.

Great atmosphere for a date. We ordered the garlic cheese bread and thought we got our money’s worth out of it. For whatever reason I ordered a pizza and would say that wasn’t anything special and you can find much better pizza for less elsewhere. The significant other ordered the Salmon Messino and found the portion and sides significant enough to provide leftovers after ordering that appetizer. The salmon wasn’t better than something you could get down the street at a similar quality restaurant for 25% cheaper.

Doesn’t get 5 stars but it is very good. The veal piccata was very good. My salad was really good too but it was a little on the small side. Pasta side was excellent and the service was excellent.

Very mediocre food. The three times I dined there were less than stellar. I do not like that they serve veal. It is a cruel thing to support. The sauce is very average as was the bread.

We had been frequenting Vincenzo’s since the 1990’s and had always thought their food and service was great. We no longer dine here anymore and this is the reason why: We went as a group of six with a reservation celebrating two birthdays. Our server finally showed up after 15 minutes, gave us our waters and took our order. Our orders were delivered, the food was great, but we never saw our waitress again until the end of the meal when she refreshed all our waters. She then exclaimed«I understand we have a birthday today.» I corrected her and told her there were two birthdays, which she promptly started yelling saying she was only told about one birthday and she was absolutely NOT going back to the kitchen to tell them of the mistake. The room we were in got quiet and we didn’t say anything else — after all, if they didn’t want to give out another free dessert what could we say. I definitely don’t think we warranted that kind of treatment and lack of service though. The next incident was about a year later when we happened to run into our pastor. We all had a different entrée, so I don’t understand why we got sick. Service was fine, the food tasted fine, but one tends to not go back after spending the night upchucking from a bad food experience. There are plenty of other good restaurants in Omaha without having to deal with these kind of issues.

Went here tonight for a family birthday party. None of is had ever ate here before but had heard good things. Our server was pretty slow and not the greatest(I didn’t get her name) but we watched an older gentleman in a bow tie provide top notch service at the table next to us. Food was pretty darn good but some of it wasn’t at hot as it should have been. We will give it another shot.

Ok let me start by saying My husband and I just moved to Omaha from Chicago in July. My husband is 100% Italian and had many years as an Italian cook. He is also a food and beverage director. We know food. And especially Italian food. I was so excited to try a new place being new to the area. I found the appearance of the restaurant very inviting. I nor my husband have ever left a review on a restaurant. This had to be said. I was encouraged by reading the menu and learning it was a family owned restaurant for years. These are all generally good signs of a quality restaurant. We were seated promptly and courteously. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. We ordered drinks, a water and he had a beer. We ordered an appetizer: Calamari=it was dry and bland and a bit chewy. The server happily returned it to the kitchen she went to get us some bruschetta… now let me say this is one thing that can make or break an experience in Italian dining. When she set it down my husband and I looked at each other… the server walked away and my husband whispered, «You have got to be f#%king kidding me!!!» The bruschetta was French bread(not toasted with garlic butter and crispy like you are suppose to) it was just a brush of Olive oil and two quarter size slices of tomato with some cheese over it sprinkled with Heavy Rosemary seasoning. It was colorless and bland and so sad. It was soggy and just too much Rosemary no balance of beautiful diced tomato in olive oil mixture. Bad bad bad. We still felt hopeful. My husband ordered a pizza with sausage and I decided to order«the big Vinny» it was a sample of fettuccine Alfredo, chicken Parmesan, lasagna. I wanted to sample a few things. My husband ordered the soup(which was very good) chicken tortellini. I ordered the salad: I got a plate of lettuce some romaine and some head lettuce many huge yellow chunks of lettuce I could not eat. The dressing was the house dressing. I thought it had no flavor and seemed to be just oil and vinegar with no seasoning. It was terrible. Now for the saddest part. They brought out my husbands pizza… oh boy… My husband just stared at it. He lifted it up and the bottom of the pizza was dough white. It was obvious this was not cooked enough. The ingredients on top were sparse to say the least. It was cold and chewy and he left the majority of it and just sat shaking his head. My plate came. It looked good I felt hope. It wouldn’t last long. The Chicken parmigiana the chicken breast was dark dark brown. Then I took a bite and my husband started laughing because I wouldn’t chew it and wanted to spit it out and searched for my napkin to do so. My husband said, «They deep fried this chicken !!!»(You are suppose to sautée the chicken and then bake it in the oven.) It was hard, dry, tasted terrible!!! I left it. My lasagna was ok it was bland bland bland. The fettuccine Alfredo was edible sort of it was bland. As a whole this meal was a huge disappointment. I wanted to take pictures and send them to our Italian family at home because they wouldn’t believe this! We didn’t want to appear rude. We saw what appeared to be the owners walking around but no one stopped to ask how our food was except for our server and she was so sweet we didn’t want her to feel bad. Maybe the owners didn’t want to know? The atmosphere was nice the décor was very nice, the service was great. The owners need to wake the Chef up or change the Chef or just make some spot checks of the product coming out of the kitchen. Every kitchen should have someone expediting food and making sure the quality is just right. We will not go back. There were too many things wrong to chalk it up to a mistake here or there. There is a BIG problem in that kitchen. This can end a business if not resolved. It hurts me to criticize anyone. This had to be said.

Let me start by saying that our waitress was great, and the restaurant is clean, nice and warm. However, the food was medicore at best. I ordered the Hill, which was tortellini, linguini and penne in a meat sauce with an Italian sausage and meatballs. It was bland. So bland, that no salt and pepper could save it. So bland, that when I brought the leftovers home, my hot sauce could not save it. My friend thought her chicken alfredo was bland too, and the pasta undercooked. Prices are a little on the high side, but every entrée comes with choice of soup or salad.

Great little Italian restaurant. Nice environment and cozy. We enjoyed our food very much. The pre dinner rolls were FABULOUS! The salad was lovely filed greens, very fresh and awesome dressing. I ordered the Big Vinny: Chicken Parm, Fettuccine Alfredo and Lasagna. It was very good, the Chicken Parm was great. My husband ordered the Baked Manicotti, which he enjoyed. We finished our meal with the Cannoli… not traditional, but scrumptious.

We had pretty good service here recently. It took our server a little longer than expected to greet us, but she was quite attentive during the rest of our visit. the Cheesy garlic bread was delicious but they offered to bring out fresh bread after we had eaten our garlic bread… we wouldn’t have ordered garlic bread If we would have known there was complimentary bread, I ordered the chicken Alfredo pizza and it was ok, the crust was very thin as per the menu, it was about the thickness of a tortilla shell. Would have preferred if it was a little thicker. The cheese was also a little burnt. My wife had the chicken Parmesan and she thought it was delicious. Drink selection is mostly wine focused being an Italian restaurant.

I visited this restaurant about a month ago. I had been to two of their previous locations, and had not been impressed. In fact, when plans were made to go to this location for the first time, I was not too eager. When I arrived there, I found that the restaurant was staffed by friendly people, that it was clean, and that the atmosphere was very pleasant. For my meal, I had one of the pizzas, which was good enough that I would order it again. However, the toasted ravioli were simply excellent. They were so good that I have found myself wondering when I will be driving across town again to go and eat at this restaurant. I look forward to the next time.

Our server was fun, conversational and informative without being too chatty. The«honor system» house wine was something new to both of us. Not a bad sales tool — put a pitcher of wine in front of customers and offer them a sample? It got US to buy a few glasses! The meals came with side salads and bread. The rosemary rolls and REAL butter were warm, aromatic heaven. The salads were larger than I expected and the house vinaigrette was flavorful and refreshing. I ordered«The Hill,» which I thought was a sampler, with small portions of each. Not the case. It was a «hill of linguine, cheese tortellini and mostaccioli, covered in a red sauce and topped with two huge meatballs and an Italian sausage. I really should have asked about the size, but no matter. One meal and leftovers for 2 – 3 days for $ 15 is not bad at all :) My dining companion ordered the Penne Manzo(what I will be having next time we visit!) This dish is comprised of beef tenderloin sautéed with peppers, mushrooms, red onions and tomatoes over penne with a marsala sauce. He ordered his without the peppers(heartburn :() but I’m sure it’s just as great with them! Needless to say, there was ZERO room for dessert, but we’re planning on visiting to sample the wine and dessert menus very soon!

I’ve been to Vincenzo’s off and on for 20 years every time I visit Omaha. I was very disappointed this last visit. First I’d like to say the service was very good. Nice job on that. Now on to the food. The calamari tasted frozen. The rolls were very good. The Caesar dressing on the salad had no flavor. The recipe for Veal Soto had changed. It was no where near as good as it used to be. The veal was tough and the cracked pepper ruined the flavor. It was overpowering. I missed the caper sauce. The vegetables were overcooked and far too salty. One of my dinner companions had the Chicken Soto and enjoyed it. Another companion ordered the Hill pasta mix. He said the sauce tasted like it came out of a jar and the pasta wasn’t fresh. After 3 bites he was done. Presentation was also poor. With the exception of the appetizers that were presented well, the meals looked like slop on a plate. Sorry guys but at your price point you need to do a better job.

Enjoyed a superbly prepared Salmon dish. We liked the music at right volume so we could visit. Service was great! Loved the vintage photos on the walls like we were surrounded by loved ones. Love this place!

I stopped in for a late lunch on a Monday in July. I was actually surprised they were open. I glanced over and saw cars in their parking lot and so decided to take a closer look. Sure enough, the«Open» sign was lit. This place has been on my list of restaurants to try for quite some time. I just didn’t think with it being a Monday(so many private restaurants are closed on Mondays), it being in West O(there’s not much of a weekday lunch crowd west of 156th), and it being a full service Italian restaurant(notorious for serving dinner only) that it would be open. I’m glad it was as I finally got to try it. I walked in and there was no one at the host stand. There were also no visible employees anywhere to notice me standing there. After a couple of minutes one of the managers appears from the back and seated me. He was nice enough and I requested a booth and he happily complied. The host also took my drink order and brought me an iced tea. I then proceeded to sit there for about 10 minutes before my waitress finally appeared. She didn’t even apologize for the wait. The iced tea I had to keep me company during my wait tasted off. Hard to say why. I’m not sure if it was burnt somehow or perhaps whatever device they use for brewing it needs a thorough cleaning. I’ve tasted that exact same off taste at other restaurants. It’s usually not a consistent problem and is just an off batch, but it can be quite unpleasant when you take a big gulp of what you’re hoping is refreshing fresh brewed iced tea. A refill later on tasted fine. I ordered the Salsiccia & Peppers(spicy Italian sausage link with roasted peppers and onions, tossed in marinara, and served over spaghetti). It was good. The sausage was good and not terribly spicy. The roasted peppers were a mixture of red and green bell peppers. I don’t care for the green. Their color dulls when they’re cooked and then they look unappetizing in food. They should just go with all red. The sauce did taste a little flat, but if you manage to get a bite of the sausage in every mouthful you hardly notice. The spaghetti seemed a bit dry. I would imagine that’s because they were holding it poorly in the back. My entrée came with a choice of soup or salad. The soup was Tomato Basil. I opted for a Caesar Salad(small up-charge). The salad was okay. Overall, a pretty average Caesar salad. They also serve complimentary bread rolls with butter. They were good, but typical of brown-n-serve rolls purchased from a wholesaler. There’s no baking happening here. I was pleased they didn’t offer me some olive oil and herb concoction. That has gotten to be quite gimmicky at Italian restaurants. There was only one wait person working the entire restaurant. She had 6 tables when I got there and each table had 3 to 6 customers. You’d think the manager would come out of the back to help wait tables and to make sure the customers were getting the level of service they expected. Apparently not. Overall, an okay restaurant. The food is nothing spectacular, but it’s not bad either. Service could be improved. I might stop back to try something else, but I am in no hurry to do so.

The food took FOREVER to come out. Easily 40 minutes of waiting in a Sunday afternoon with not even half the restaurant full. I ordered the chicken soto which was good – but the angel hair pasta and veggies it came with were barely warm. Had it not been for the forty minute wait and the fact that we didn’t see a waiter for 10 minutes following our food arriving I would have sent them back.

This was my first stop and last. The service was great. But the food was okay. I have rather go to Carrabas. The food has a very simple taste no flavor at all. The bread was cold. I wouldn’t go back.

Went to Vincenzo’s for the first time the other night, and it was a great experience! I started with a glass of their house chianti(which was smooth and delicious), and curiously they left the carafe at the table the entire meal. The hostess did mention something about wine being on the ‘honor’ system and at the end of the meal, our waiter mentioned he charged us for one glass only… Which is good because that’s all I had. Seemingly they trust you to just let them know how many you have? I failed to ask for details. For the meal I ordered the manicotti, which was delicious. Some of the best restaurant manicotti I’ve had, in fact. Essentially a pool of cheese an sauce, which is what I look for. My wife ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, which she also said were very good. For dessert I got the crème brûlée and my wife got the turtle cheesecake(they have a ‘cheesecake of the day’ option). I have to mention I’m something of a crème brûlée fanatic, and it was delicious. Did not disappoint. I wouldn’t put it on the same level as Bravo’s, but it was very good nonetheless(and was a bigger portion than Bravo’s). Our waiter was a nice older gentleman who made us feel right at home. He also appeared to be the waiter for the entire restaurant at the time(this was a weeknight so it wasn’t jammed, but I saw him go around to every table around us), and he kept up very well. I was impressed. Overall, very good Italian food for a very reasonable price. I’ll be coming back!

Greetings all, Solid Italian restaurant with 5 stars for the chicken(best chicken I have ever tasted). We started off with the trio for an appetizer — it comes with lasagna, fettuccini alfredo and chicken parm. The other two were good — but the chicken parm was amazing – best I ever had. Then I had another chicken dish and it was yet again amazing. The only reason I’m not giving this Ristorante five stars is that the pasta was a bit overdone when I asked for it al dente and the lasagna was not super hot despite its good taste — but outside of these two minor issues I’d say this place is awesome — and we plan to be going back!!! PS — server we had was Brian M. I spike him out because he did not rush us and was attentive without being obtrusive — -perfect service. Cheers

We were here on a Sunday at 5:00 pm, it wasn’t crowded so we were seated immediately. For an appetizer we ordered Melanzane. It was delicious. The sauce was superb. Two of us ordered the house salad with blue cheese crumbles and anchovies. The salad was very fresh and flavorful. The other two in our party ordered Cesear salad and said they were fine. I ordered Tutto Mare. The white sauce was kind of bland and there wasn’t much seafood in it. My husband got the Chicken Soto. He said the chicken was very tender but the sauce was average. The other two in our party ordered the lasagna Bolognes. They both thought it was good. All of our meals were served hot. The restaurant was full when we left, so 5:00 was a good time to go.
