Walgreens comes in two forms: urban and suburban. Omaha lost its only urban Walgreens years ago(remember that one on 16th Street downtown), so that leaves us with a countless number cookie-cutter stores like this one that have sprouted up all over the city. Walgreens is that type of place you go when you’re in a pinch, and need a couple of miscellaneous items on your way from here to there. Or you go for the pharmacy. Unless there’s a sale, the prices are higher than bigger grocery or retail stores. No fresh produce, but at least they started selling beer. And now they’re doing one of those rewards cards programs that you have to sign up for to get the decent discounts. Great.
