Call me basic, I don’t care! I enjoy a good basic french toast and that is what I am glad to have found here. Originally, we headed to Corkys, but so did everyone else and we did not want to wait it out and end up hangry. So we headed south to Joanne’s and got just what we needed. I had the French toast combo and my husband had an omelette. My husband rated his omelette as just ok, and I rated my plate as very good – nicely grilled french toast, crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, finished off with a light sprinkling of powdered sugar and dollops of butter. It was accompanied by two scrambled eggs and bacon. Service was excellent, my coffee cup was never empty, and they checked on us regularly. Refreshing to receive such service especially from humble little café. They open at 6 a.m. If you enjoy a good, basic breakfast, booth seating, vintage oil paintings circa 1970 something, and great service, come here!

Had the French toast with fruit and whipped cream, it was good, average I suppose. Witness was really nice so that made it a little better.

This is the only restaurant that we visit for breakfast. We discovered it when we lived in Ontario 5 years ago. Now we live about 25 miles away and we make the drive out there to enjoy the great customer service and delicious food. Every single breakfast dish we’ve ever ordered has been fresh, full of flavor, and very satisfying! I don’t have a favorite dish because everything is so great, but the two that always stand out for us are the Chicken Fried Steak and Chorizo and Eggs. Oh… and the coffee… the coffee is simply wonderful!

There service here was HORRIBLE. The old lady that helped us was so rude! She didn’t have a name badge and if I could rate this no stars I would.

Full service breakfast. Get there early on weekend mornings; it fills up fast! Great food, great service and the owner is just awesome. Very service oriented place. No wonder it’s a local favorite.

I been going here for years, before they changed the name. all this time I didn’t know they were on Unilocal!well, my 2 favorite waitresses are Bobby and lety, both very great waitresses and very sweet! I been knowing Bobby since I was about 4 when she worked at hones kitchen, I belive that’s what this used to be called? not sure. my grandparents go every Friday for breakfast and I go sometimes because normally I’m in school. anyways, the food is great. I can’t sat to much about the lunch and dinner section because I normally get breakfast. although one time I think it was a dip sandwich of some sort, and the meat was very dry. there pretty good priced I’ve had alot of the breakfast items there so I can absolutely vouch for that! the bus boys are very good to. one thing also, you don’t wait for them to seat you, you just sit down. if you wait you can be waiting for awhile! all in all this place is great, ask for Bobby!!!

I pass by this restaurant every day so I thought I’d stop by. Considering it had been open so long, I figured this would be a pleasant experience. Wow, was I wrong. First off, nobody greeted me at the entrance, I had to ask a bus boy to be seated. The bus boy was nice, he served me water right away. I sat for 15 minutes, no waiter/waitress had approached me. I figure they are busy, but then a waitress(on her shift, btw) sits down in the booth next to me with a couple she knows. At this point I’m annoyed. I call over a waitress to finally get my order taken. The waitress was sweet and curteous, her name was Lety I think. I ordered the country fried steak w/biscuits and gravy. Honestly, the steak was dissapointing, it looked like a microwave steak. The biscuits and gravy were quite delicious though. Oh, then halfway through my meal the waitress brings me the cranberry juice I ordered when I first sat down. Greaaat service. Needless to say I won’t be returning to this establishment, I suggest you do the same. P. s. the employees seemed to be on first name basis with a lot of customers, they have a lot of «regulars.» I think that’s how they’ve managed to stay open so long.

Went for my father’s birthday. The service was great! I had pancakes and French fries. The pancakes were fluffy and the fries were crispy. We Will defiantly be going again.

Great service and amazing food. We were driving by and curiosity got us to stop for brunch. It was well worth it! Had the Eggs Benedict and stuffed french toast combo. Our server was so sweet with our preschooler. Attentive and kept our coffee cup full and warm. We will definitely be coming back!!!

Food was ok this time… not as good as the first time! Service was horrible! Waitress acted like she was busy and came once to see if we were ok and if we wanted more coffee right before leaving??? A little late on the job. Will think twice before coming back. Wish it was as good as the first time!

The food is ok. Good value. A local family restaurant. Service is very friendly. The menu has a variety of American traditional and Mexican dishes as well. As my wife says«it fills the hole»

Its a typical breakfast joint Seems like its a place to elderly people after church/hangout place From the outside the place looked really small but when I walked in it was bigger than I thought! Their menu was somewhat broad with different selections! Ordered my usual omelets and mom got a ham steak and two cups of coffee(their coffee was good but it took me asking for three times for me to get a refill) Food was good but not spectacular! Omelet was somewhat greasy and same with their toast! Overall, definitely better than dennys thats forsure but doesnt beat some of the nicer breakfast restaurants in town!

This is a great family restaurant. I always have the usual breakfast which is the #1. It consists of either fresh fruit or hash browns, eggs, and toast. The fruit is cut in chunks and there are usually cantaloupe, honeydew melon, pineapple, orange, and bananas. All this for only $ 3.99! Our waitress, Lety, knows our orders by heart as well. Now, that is what I called exceptional customer service and I can tell she loves her job. Dinner specials is also a great deal. It starts at 3pm. It usually comes with a free drink and dessert for $ 8.49 or $ 8.99! Depends on what you order though. You can’t go wrong with that.

Seems like the food is embedded with love and tinkerbell fairy dust, it’s magical. The portions are delightful, the service is remarkable and efficient. Only problem I have is the constant struggle of decision between menu items…“do I want the pork chops? maybe I’m in the mood for an omelette, but the cobb salad found out what my name is and its calling me… why is this chicken dinner so irresistible“ Perfect for family, or a quick stop before work for a fresh cup of coffee, very great!!!

I’ve never had a dried up waffer thin rib eye steak before. The waitress Bobbi was really nice, And the three little eggs were great and fluffy cooked over easy, But you can’t screw up eggs. Well… maybe ya can I did get burnt eggs once. Nice and black.but.Not from here… It ends there. Why? Because… The hash brown although crispy were greasy and lukewarm The warm steak was ordered medium, but was so thin and flavorless Beef jerky woulda tasted better then this. I shoulda got it medium rare to add some kinda life to it. Even the A-1 sauce couldn’t revive this steak’s flavor. Steak: DOA The rye toast that I had ordered with extra butter arrived. The toast was cold with no butter and hard as a rock. I borrowed my friend’s butter from her pancakes And the butter just sat on top… not even melting Sad little toasties were destoyed before they even hit my table. Re-ordered a second order of toast — Big Mistake. Because, they took the bread and nuked it with butter It came out soggy and sagging with some butter on it And it wasn’t toasted… just nuked… Duuuuh… what’s with that? You do have cute little turtles outside and fisheees… Note: I was upset with the food and uploaded the food pictures to another restaurant. Got home and deleted them off that restaurant. But never saved them. I deserve a negative five stars for not knowing what I was doing… duuuuuh to me.

I am really sorry but I have no idea why this place has so many stars. It is all pre packaged, pre frozen, out of a can type of food. There is nothing special about it. The place is clean and service is nice but the food tastes like it came out of a cafeteria in high school. I got the fish sandwich with fries. I also added a salad. The salad was the normal, out of the bag, iceberg lettuce with a few strands of carrots and red cabbage. Small baby croutons and some dull looking beets. The ranch was good, just out of a jug. The fish sandwich came in a square… this is why I won’t eat at Wendy’s, there is nothing right with square food. The fish did not come out of the ocean in a square and it just looked way processed and obviously pre frozen. The tarter sauce was generic and lettuce was wilted. The fries were decent actually, but didn’t make up for the rest of the food. I love old diners like this when they care enough to make some food from scratch… that is what makes these old diners special… this is not one of them.
