This is the only place I will ever go for a smog or car service. Tim is extremely knowledgable and polite. Had a smog check and was in and out in less then 5 minutes. Had repairs done here previously and charged way less then anyone quoted me. You will not be sorry coming here. Extremely reasonable prices. Come to Tim’s smog! You will NOT be sorry! Wish all mechanics and smog techs could be as amazing. Thank you!

Just got back from Tim’s. I dropped in unexpected but they took care of me quickly. Tim and Tom were very friendly and kind. No tricks or upsells. These guys are honest and straightforward, I will be back for sure.

I have been coming here for years. Found them on Unilocal and they repair and maintain both of our cars. I rarely have a long wait and am never disappointed with the service and quality of work. All for a very reasonable price!

I’ve dealt with A LOT of smog/​star certification businesses all over Southern California, and Tim’s Smog is the best one I’ve ever used in the last 10 – 15 years! The shop is a little tricky to find at first, and isn’t aesthetically pleasing to the eyes, HOWEVER they’re some of the nicest people and I couldn’t be happier with their service! Thanks Tim!

When I tell you I absolutely hate doing anything for my car, it’s not an exaggeration at all. My car needed a smog check and I dreaded having to go sit anywhere and waste my time and speak car talk at all. I looked at Unilocal to find the closest and most legit spot to me and Tim’s popped up. I shot over there a little after opening and they immediately checked my car. When I say I was in and out within 15 minutes, it’s not an exaggeration at all either! It was priced just right and quick and painless for me haha. Great service and they were very friendly. I wish I found this place sooner and maybe I wouldn’t have been so against smog checks haha.

I have been blessed w the kindest and most honest mechanic I’ve ever met… I thank God for him, Tim has helped me out so much and I’m forever grateful to him and his staff!

Great, fast and friendly service. I wasn’t sure if my car would pass, but Tim informed me that they are also a repair shop and they could make some repairs if needed. My car passed, so no repair and retest was needed.
It’s a little tricky to find, the shop is set to the back off Vinyard across from the Kaiser Hospital.
I like this shop better than another one I went to in recent years, so I will be coming back with my other car when is due for a smog check.
I will gladly recommend Tim’s STAR Smog Check to everyone I know.

Went in today after 4 pm hoping that I would be able to register my car at AAA before they close at five, I was only there for less then five minutes. Great service, fast and quick and they were super nice that they even offer a $ 10 discount when you announce to them you found them on Unilocal.There policy I was told, fast and quick. No questions ask when I’m able to register and smog my car in less the one hour after 4 pm. Will recommend this place to anyone.

Got in the same day. When I called in the morning they said lunch time sometimes gets a bit busy but they’d be happy to help. Also let me know if I was in a hurry to come between 3 — 5 so I did and they were very fast! Super friendly, explained everything… Missing the 5th star because their waiting area is really, really run down. But I’d go back and will just plan to wait outside…

Excellent service! Went in during my lunch hour hoping I could get the smog check done quickly, I was extremely surprised at how fast I was helped! My entire visit was under 15 minutes! Great pricing as well, they even honored the $ 10 discount off of Unilocal!
I will definitely recommend this place to my friends and co-​workers!

I had to get my car smoged, that was the bummer. The good part was that I took my car to Tim’s Smog. I went here in the morning. Tim had me wait in the waiting room while he checked out my car. Tim gave me a discount of 10 dollars. I asked him questions about how he tested my car. It turns out that cars made after 2006 have a computer in them that knows what is going on with the car. He said that the computer is even more accurate that putting the car on a dynometer and measuring the smog output. He said that if the check engine light comes on, then more likely the car will not pass smog. Luckly for me, my car passed with flying colors. Probably because I keep it maintained.
Tim finished in about 15 minutes or less. The price was reasonable. I will be coming here again.

Heads up about parking: when turning into the area, there’s two ways to go straight, stay to the left and it’s towards near the end to the right
Great service! they’re super friendly and greeted us right away. Great communication too; told us everything they were going to do and when we paid with card they told us about the 1.5% credit charge (barely anything compared to other places that charge for using credit .40-.50).
Super fast! Granted we went when it wasn’t busy, but we didn’t even wait 10 min and they were done with our smog check!
10⁄10 would def go here again
