Very dirty place. Kitchen has rodents and flies hovering the food. Made me walk out of how dirty it was.

This place is really good. It’s authentic Mexican food not the Tex Mex most places pass off as Mexican. They also have some Honduran food on the menu and in the daily specials. The tacos are made with corn tortillas, topped with onion and cilantro and served with a wedge of lime. Homemade hot sauce is served on the side. The tacos come in every variety from carne asada to chorizo to tongue– which I had never tried before but it was amazing and not at all what I expected. The burritos are huge and they’ll pretty much make them however you want. I had mine made with a little pico and guacamole as I like them a little on the wet side. My favorite item by far though is the Sope’. Have them with whatever meat you like and top them with lettuce and tomato, crema, cotija cheese and a little hot sauce. They are incredible little deep fried patties of hot gooey and crunchy goodness topped with the refreshing cool veg and crema. The are addictive. This place is in downtown Opa Locka and is easy to find. The downtown area has been restored and is quite nice. Don’t be afraid of the hood and go to this restaurant. It’s warm, quaint and family run. You will eat great Mexican food for a reasonable price… and they have tall glass bottle Coca Cola. How can you beat that? Call ahead though their hours are odd. I think they are open Thursday through Sunday and they serve late night.
