Great seafood place w a ton of tables. Atmosphere was nice with a stingray pool. Food was about what I expect from fine dining of $ 20-$ 25 an entrée. No disappointment but not surprised either. A–

What a great, large restaurant! No wait for our Sunday night meal, even made it in time to order a happy hour drink(till 6pm). Great menu, service, and yes, the indoor fish tank is a nice treat as well(but it’s not a shark, I asked). Love the outdoor patio and bar. Took a post dinner walk down their pier and saw the Pelicans and setting sun. Overall, so impressed!

We are locals and over the years hit most spots. This is our current favorite. Not sure where some of these negative reviews had dinner but we’ve never had anything but courteous servers, beautiful scenery looking out on the bay, prompt speed getting seated and getting fed and the food? Try the blackened group or fried green tomatoes, sweet potato mash, pizza, shrimp po boy or turtle cheesecake. Just try it! The entertainment can be a band, sax, or impersonator or watch the fish in the tank. And its spacious no ones breathing down your back. We love it!!!

My first time to dine here last night. A nice setting along the intercostal waterway. The Grill has a nice setup for dining inside or out, we chose to sit on the deck near the water. We also got to enjoy some good live. Music as part of the experience. We had a nice waitress, Jules who was friendly and efficient. We had the BBQ shrimp and Oyster dishes, generous portions were served and these were both tasty. The BBQ shrimp were not exactly in the same fashion as Pasqual Manale in New Orleans but were good in their own version. In all a nice experience and worth a try.

Extremely disappointing experience. Was told the wait would be 40 min. Waited for an hour with a party of 4 adults and 3 kids. The place had plenty of empty tables, but obviously poor management and staff. Other guests who had been seated ended up walking out after waiting an hour for food. A hostess told us we could continue waiting if we wanted, but the food would likely take an hour. We left without food but realized it was almost 9 on a Sunday night and very few places were still open. Ended up taking our hungry and tired kids to a dive bar. Never again.

Restaurant is too big for the kitchen to keep up with. We(party of 6) waited an hour and a half to be seated and another hour for mediocre food. You can get the same(or better) quality in 15 min at the shrimp basket or somewhere like that. Beautiful atmosphere but don’t come here until they get a bigger kitchen.

I cannot even describe how horrible this place is; food and service. Don’t even try this place unless you like a 2.5 hour wait and nasty food. I cannot even give this one star!!!

This restaurant definitely gets 5 stars from me. There were three in my party and everything we ordered was very tasty. Happily satisfied with everything.

Wonderful food. I recommend the Crab and Avocado Salad. The mango vinaigrette was a wonderful compliment to the fresh julienned summer squash, zucchini, and mixed greens. Large portion was more than I could eat, as were the portions for everyone at the table. The only disappointment was the calamari. They used cornmeal for the batter which in my opinion ruined the texture. Get the fried pickles, those were perfectly prepared. Perhaps if they used that batter in the calamari, it would have been better.

I am torn about this place. Pros: Big fish tank in the middle of the restaurant where you can feed the fish, huge outdoor seating area with water views, lots of seating inside and out, friendly waittress, some good food. Cons: The place is too big(staff have to walk very far to and from the bar and kitchen), very few staff where there when we went so we waited 15 minutes to be seated when the restaurant was very slow, service was painfully slow at times(but we didn’t mind so much because of the previously mentioned views), some mediocre food. I ate the oyster and shrimp plate with mac and cheese. The former was very good and tasty and the latter was watery and tasted like a 10 year old made it. Ultimately, I’ve got to think there are better options in Orange Beach for good food. Based on my exerience, I wouldn’t recommend this place.

The atmosphere was cool and the restaurant was really nice. The indoor fish pool was a big hit for the kids. They get to feed them as well. The waitstaff was nice and attentive too. Unfortunately, the food was lousy. Two of my kids had a mac n cheese side, which looked microwaved. I had a captain’s platter and only ate the shrimp. The fish wasn’t fresh(surprisingly). My wife’s grouper wasn’t too good either. Overall, a cool place with disappointing food for us

I really liked this place. It has a neat ray tank with some other fish and small sharks. There is a nice pier outside which is awesome around the evening high tide since the dolphins swim by looking for fish in the bay. Otherwise the pier is just a pier with little else to do(though there was a sign for some boats that weren’t there when we were there) other than watch the birds fishing off the pylons of an old pier next door. The food is good, the black bean soup was fantastic. The other food was good too, but maybe it was a bad night in the kitchen for us because it didn’t live up to the hype IMO. It’s still better than most of the other places around here though, so I shouldn’t be too hard on it. It’s worth checking out if for no other reason than it’s a great place to watch the dolphins come by and then grab a good dinner and a drink on their patio.

This is a really cool gem. The inside is rustic. There was live music and a great view of the water. The char broiled oysters were fabulous! We also were over the moon on the shrimp Mac and cheese! The fish of the day was delicious as was the fried okra side. The pork chops disappointed. They were extremely tough and fatty. The blackberry bbq sauce underwhelmed. The server was knowledgeable about the menu, however, the timing was not good. We were not even half way through the appetizers and our food arrived. After that, the service slowed considerably. I would return and select a different entrée as the food overall was good.

This place has a neat vibe. Though the outside doesn’t look like much, the inside lobby feels like a high end restaurant with several reall pretty glass chandeliers. The seating area is located down a hallway and is a bit of a surprise. It’s big and open with lots of windows on the backside overlooking the bay. There is a large open fish tank(pond?) in the center of the restaurant where little ones enjoy looking in on a ray and sharks. The food is good. The wood-fired pizzas smelled delicious. I really enjoyed the salmon and spinach salach. The sherry bacon vinegrette was great. The classy live music capped off the cool vibe on this place. A nice way to spend a very rainy evening.

I ordered the cob tuna salad with the salad dressing on the side. The server brought it out with the dressing on the side and salad dressing on the lettuce. Mind you the dressing did taste good but when your watching calories. The server finally came back to check on us and I told her about the mix up on the salad dressing. She offered to bring me another salad but I declined because my husband was almost done with his meal. The manager came up to us and offered me something else and I again declined. He then said he would take it off our bill. I never asked for them to do this. I had eaten the tuna and it was prepared correctly, I told them this and the dressing was lovely but I wanted it on the side not dressed. The restaurant was also setting up for a wedding reception and the help were rather loud while setting up. I would give this restaurant another chance it is a lovely restaurant on the back bay on the canal. I just feel the server should have checked our orders before bringing them out to us.

My friends & I came in for the Red Plate specials — we were targeted by their FaceBook ad. The beautiful entry & hallway have gorgeous handmade glass chandeliers; the hallway led to the inside bar, open kitchen and a very spacious waterfront dining hall. Their outdoor bar & patio overlook Wolf Bay & Bay La Launch but it was too hot to sit outside. The staff were very friendly and seated us by the glass windows. We ordered the Cayman Shrimp, BBQ Pork Sliders, Bacon Cheese Fries & Jamaican Jerk Chicken skewers off the $ 5 menu and CG Oysters from the regular menu. We were a little disappointed that the kitchen had not prepared the Tuna Dip for today’s happy hour. The place wasn’t busy; our food was served in 15 minutes. We relaxed and enjoyed the gorgeous view while we ate. The happy hour specials were good, nothing fantastic. Our least favorite was the jerk chicken skewers which were bland; no jerk flavor at all. It was not served with Jezebel sauce — perhaps that would have made it more palatable. In my opinion, the BBQ pork sliders were the best deal of the bunch — the meat was flavored well and a single plate of 3 could be a meal on its own. The Bacon Cheese Fries and Cayman Shrimp were okay; but for $ 5, I still prefer The Beach House Kitchen’s happy hour jumbo-sized Coconut Shrimp. *Our CG Oysters never made it to our table, we had to ask for the item to be removed from our bill. However, when we had already settled up & were just chatting, the kitchen sent out our«missing» plate of crispy oysters which we declined.* Overall we had a good time, the saltwater tank was cool; we enjoyed seeing how the bull reds rushed over when the water was tapped a couple of times. It was very nice to stroll down their pier after our meal. I plan to bring my out-of-town guests for dinner out on their patio and order off their regular menu next time.
