Guthrie’s is your basic chicken finger fast food restaurant. Very dirty inside, limited menu, but chicken is pretty good and their sauce is tasty. Pricey for what you get, good location in Orange Beach.

Overall experience pretty good. Long lines, someone didn’t show up for their shift so totally understand. They were moving fast and the young boy of appx. 12 years old was actually very professional and impressive. Chicken tenders and fries were very good and super hot. Hubby thought his was a little dry, almost over cooked. Toast was great and the sauce was so good, I dipped my fries in it too. Had to wait for like 5 minutes for a refill and tables were dirty from previous customers, but already mentioned the staffing issue which I’ll assume was the reason. Prices are comparable to Zaxby’s or Foosacly’s. 2– 5 piece boxes with fries, coleslaw and 2 drinks was $ 19. And some change.

Food is so hot and delicious that I have to rate it higher than I actually want to. This must be a family chain, because they got a couple 12 year old boys working for them. Not a joke. Dead serious. The restaurant is in a decent location, really close to the water though so l it’s expensively priced for fast food, but the food is fantastic. Simple menu, do you want chicken? Or chicken? Or chicken sandwich? Some side options of coleslaw or french fries, some meals come with Texas style toast which is delicious as well; But there’s a reason this place sells. Guthrie’s Sauce. You will lose your mind because of what your taste buds are experiencing. If you’ve ever eaten at Zaxby’s or Raisin’ Canes, it’s very similar, but by my estimation they’ve eliminated any imperfections. If you want chicken, you can eat anywhere. You eat at some places for the sauces. You eat Guthrie’s for the sauce. The negative features are few, but in fast food that means they are glaring. Painfully slow drive thru. We sat in a line with only 3 people ahead of us for 10 minutes! Your menu is simple! You serve the same things every single order! Your drive thru should take seconds per car, not minutes. Also, there is no exit from the drive thru. You have to circle around this senseless culdesac, and you can get blocked in by the rest of the drive-thru. Terrible system. All in all, if you’re at the beach and want quality non-seafood at a price not escalated by location, go here. Well worth it.

I’m so glad we discovered Guthrie’s of Orange Beach a few years ago when we were vacationing in near by Perdido Key. Vacation also means that Mom shouldn’t have to cook! We have made this a tradition. The family pack comes with everything you need for a meal for a family of 4 or 5. You get a bucket of fingers(25), texas toast, slaw, fries, tea, and special sauce.

We tried Guthrie’s late one evening. This is pretty much a chicken finger restaurant. The chicken fingers were okay, pretty typical nothing special. The biggest problem we had was the dining area was in desperate need of cleaning. It was extremely messy from the days activities. It was difficult to enjoy the food while sitting in the dirty dining room. Clean this place for goodness sake!

I think southern Alabama has become the chicken finger capitol of the world. These chicken fingers taste great and they come with a delicious orange colored sauce. I like it. The fries are great too. Good prices.

This Guthrie’s location had what all the other locations have that I’ve visited — consistency. The food always comes out fresh and the staff is always friendly and hard working. Great job, Guthrie’s!
