We had some serious problems with the supposed handicap accessibility of the property we rented. Sure, a wheelchair can fit through the front door, but not the doors to either bathroom. So, needless to say, the property was not really accessible for a handicapped individual. No apology, no refund. On top of that, the WIFI never worked.

I found an Orange Beach condo to rent on while searching for properties labeled«wheelchair accessible» because my mother is in a wheelchair. I inquired about the unit’s handicapped accessibility, particularly the bathrooms. Pleasure Island Properties told me that it was accessible, and I agreed to rent it from them for a week. Days later, they said they had a conflict, and switched me to another condo. I asked about the new unit’s wheelchair friendliness, and they assured me that it was accessible. When we arrived, we discovered that while you can reach the condo in a wheelchair, the bathroom doors are not wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair. No apology or refund was offered.
