Oh Publix how I’ve missed you. After living in New England for several years, I have really come to appreciate how great Publix really is, and this location is a testament to that excellence. The employees are always friendly and always helpful. At this particular location, you can wander down an aisle, wondering aloud where an item is, and an employee will overhear you and go out of their way to help you find that item (this is the strategy my parents use). It’s also managed well, since I’ve really never seen the check out lines over crowded. This is a great Publix location!

Made the trip for our Friday evening fried chicken. It was on sale so they were sold out. We waited 20 minutes for the next batch but it was well worth it. The chicken was battered perfectly and fried to perfection. We know how much the grandchildren love the chicken so we dropped a box off for them.

Everything you would expect from Publix. As someone else mentioned, this location used to be an Albertson’s and it is pretty big. There is also a Publix liquor store next door. The only real downside to this location is that the parking lot can be a real disaster (the main exit is the only one that goes to the light on Blanding and it was not well designed), especially on the weekends.

This store has the requisite superior customer service, but what sets it apart is its size. As it was originally constructed as an Albertson’s, it is larger than most supermarkets. Consequently they are able to handle more product, and that includes certain niche items that one might not find in most grocery stores — save specialty food stores.
