This location is way smaller than the Long Beach store. It is a bit hard to find, since it is hidden in the far south corner of the shopping center. There was a very nice lady working on a Sunday afternoon when I went. I mentioned I was looking for all Paulo Coelho books and she said if she saw any come in she could hold them for me. I didn’t ask her to do that and the offer was great to hear. How can you go wrong with $ 1 books? You seriously can’t. You will find anything and everything here. They have old, old, books and many brand news ones. For the most part the books are in great condition. The only «problem» is that it is a bit unorganized for my taste. You will find a lot of the same book in different sections. So if you don’t find something at first, don’t give up! Chances are it is just hiding some where else. Definitely will be going back and spending all my change on all the amazing book finds Piccolo’s has to offer.

Can’t beat the price for donated books. Yes, I agree with the other Unilocaler, more square footage would make it easier to shop and find books that I like. It’s no fun butt to butt bumpin’ other shoppers. But for a bestseller book in good condition, Amazon cost: $ 10, here: a buck… I’ll pretend it didn’t happen. Can’t beat the price!

This bookstore is a hidden gem… slightly smaller than I would have hoped for, but what Piccolo lacks in square footage, they more than make up for with tables and shelves jam-packed with treasures~ each book only a dollar. For a discount bookstore, the place was really well organized and easy to navigate– everything was labeled and for the most part, I didn’t have trouble locating a particular title.
Sure, the aisle’s are a bit narrow, and I think it’s crazy that people push shopping carts throughout the store bumping into people and toppling books, but I totally get it though, customers are shopping for books– and at a dollar a piece, their selections could get heavy. I happily walked away with an armload of 9 books myself.
I’m very impressed by this location, and plan to visit often. I hope this place gets plenty of business and stays open for a very long time.

I love books. I can spend hours in a bookstore, just roaming up and down the aisles, browsing, flipping through pages. I used to do this in the Long Beach location. The best part? Getting a kickass deal! these books were only ONE FREAKIN’ DOLLAR!!! I’m game!
I found out today that the LB location closed. I was soo sad because it was my favorite spot to just peruse and look around. Well I looked up their website and lo and behold– they opened up a store in Orange! What luck!!!
I drove there promptly upon finding its address. I called to see what time they close today. They close at 8 pm everyday.
Got there, it’s in the corner of the plaza tucked all the way toward the back. The store is small, so it doesn’t carry much as they used to carry in that huge LB location they had, but I was able to get the books I wanted. I got 12 books! So excited to start reading them and coming back to the store for more!

This place has an awesome selection of books and you can’t go wrong with the price. Yes everything really is a dollar :) they also have audio books, CDs, and a small collection of video games. The staff was very friendly and seemed happy to be there. I will definitely be coming back here soon.

ALL the books here are $ 1!!! theres tax at the end but its really cheap. a lot of books that would cost well over $ 15 are $ 1 at this hidden store. I really enjoyed it and i bought 15 books and i think im going to continue to come here. they even have textbooks-college students what if your textbook cost $ 1?!! overall great experience.

Came here at 8pm and they were closed. It says they’re open until 10 which is unfortunate because I was really looking forward to buying a book. I loved the one in Long Beach and hate the fact it was closed. Overall I like the pace but they should update their profile/yelp listing.
