I’ll be honest when I say that this review isn’t for Dr. Ruper himself, but rather the practice in general. I’m sure Dr. Ruper is wonderful and I wish I would have gotten to see him.
However, I made an appointment via ZocDoc – so, perhaps there was a snafu in that process – and when I showed up to Dr. Ruper’s office, there was no one there. I had booked a 9 AM appointment on a Thursday, and had originally showed up at around 8:55. No worries, I figured, I’d just wait a few minutes for them to get set up. What struck me as strange, though, was that there were no cars in the parking lot. So I called the office and the answering service picked up. I waited on hold for a few minutes, but eventually, it became 9 AM, so I tried the front door again.
Still locked.
I called the office again, and the answering service picked up again. I waited in my car for another fifteen minutes, until 9:15 AM, and tried once more. Still no cars in the lot, still the front door was locked. I turned around, went home, called the office again and was met with… the answering service!
Like I said, maybe there was an incident with ZocDoc. Still with 9 AM scheduling available, you’d figure the office would be opened up around 9 AM.

This eye center is great. The technicians are friendly and thorough. Dr. Ruper is super nice and professional. The whole atmosphere is warm and personable, they make a long and somewhat tedious eye exam a pretty nice experience.
