Dr George W Wesley, MD is the best physician I have had visited. At first you could tend to get impatient while waiting for him. He is always running behind and it can be at least an hour after your appointment. Then you learn why you are waiting. He carries a very full load and every single patient gets a complete and dedicated appointment. He is very thorough and answers all your questions. He will take as long as he needs to help you understand your situation. Has great bedside manner, is aware of what patient he is seeing and has your complete history ready to discuss. I and my husband have been under his care and have referred others who like him just as much. Great care, great concern and real compassion! Thank you Dr. Wesley.

I was referred to this cardiologist after there was confirmation of an abnormal heart rhythm on a EKG reading. Dr. Wesley had ordered for a cardiac stress test. On the day of my appointment, it turned out to be a longer than wait time. I saw that other patients were taken into the exam rooms promptly at the OC Heart Institute. I complained at the front desk before the technician came out later on to inform me Dr. Wesley was running late and they wasn’t sure when my testing procedure would begin. The other patients were waiting and the entire time of this testing procedure I was left in the dark. The technician performed most of the test before Dr. Wesley finally walked in looking hurried and deshevled. The physician spent the least amount of time with me and wanted to get the stress test over with. He wouldn’t even discuss my test results and rudely walked out to go to the next room. I felt this office lacked concern for its patients. Like I was a car being worked on. I felt this cardiologist had a poor work ethic showing up late for eork. My advice is to other patients is, Don’t go there.

The doctor seems competent however he seems to have no concern for his scheduling. The first appointment that I had he was two hours late for, after waiting an hour I asked the receptionist about this and he said it was typical of the doctor. When I finally saw the doctor after two hours of waiting I questioned him about this and he said he didn’t believe it, I asked him if he would like to go out to the receptionist with me and confirm. He didn’t want to. My second appointment for a test was scheduled first thing in the morning. When I arrived I asked how long the wait would be and was told they didn’t know because the doctor wasn’t in yet. After an hour of waiting I asked again and was told they expected him to arrive any minute but there were two other tests ahead of me. I asked this receptionist if this was common and she replied it was normal for this doctor. One and a half hours after my appointment I was called back for my test and was prepped by a male nurse who was very nice and extremely helpful. I asked him how long he had been with the practice and he indicated about since it started. I asked him about the doctors promptness and he indicated that he is always 1 – 2 hours behind even for the first visit of the morning. The test went fine and I was told to schedule for a follow up in 30 days. I went to the desk to schedule the follow up, I asked the receptionist what day of the week and what time is best for the doctor not to be late. The three girls behind the desk laughed and said that never happens, he is always an hour or two late. I asked why and they said it’s been that way for a while, he just can’t seem to make it into the office on time and thus his schedule is always running behind by 1 – 2 hours. I’m scheduled for the first appointment of the morning now, I’ll repost to this and let other Unilocalers know how this goes. I can understand being late due to an emergency or something however every staff member I asked said he is always late and doesn’t seem to care. This indicates to me that either he doesn’t care about his patients or feels that he is too important for them. I even understand a doctor’s office keeping their bookings tight to maximize the revenue however that doesn’t account for a 1 – 2 hour wait, maybe 15 – 30 minutes at the top.
