This Consumers is a great place to pick-up beer in the south towns, along with some home brewing items.
Pretty nice selection of things to help you brew. I got two Beer kits (Imperial IPA and Robust Porter), along with some extra grains and hops as well. The beer kits were fairly priced in comparison to what I have seen online. So glad I was able to find some shopping locally instead.
For beer this location actually has a bigger selection than the one I usually go to on Abbott Rd. Lot’s of 22oz of good micros, along with a decent selection of cold sixers in the fridges.
I have heard of issues with ID, and though it was funny that I got ID’ed to buy the home brew stuff, I wasn’t buying any beer (I just stocked up elsewhere) so with no alcohol being bought I questioned whether they really had too.

Absolutely ridiculous how they do not accept out of state ids and need to id all passengers in the vehicle. There are plenty of respectable and legal people who do not come from new York. Yes that happens! We live a block away from this place and we went for my husband. I did not bring my purse so I stayed in the car. The cashier needed to see both our ids which I obviously didn’t have. Plus I’m pregnant and I can’t drink anyways. This policy is bull and honestly if this company has gotten in trouble before and is trying to cover their asses they better figure a better way to do it because they’re losing so much business. The only thing they’re gaining is overpriced beverages and bad publicity.
