I was visiting East Aurora and the end of highway 400. Searched on Unilocal for a steak house near by. Food was made from fresh ingredients. Specials was never disappointing and the steaks are always done to perfection. Already been there a few times and always left with a big smile.

A great little spot in Orchard Park. I have visited twice for lunch. The food and service was excellent both times. I can’t wait to try them for dinner.

We just wanted a light early dinner out and selected this place as it was convenient. The food server was friendly, professional and helpful and our orders came fast and were good enough but not really top notch. I felt like the chef was out for the day and someone was filling in who really didn’t do it right — the«roasted beet» salad was made with canned beets(you know, from the can in your cupboard), the scallops were hot and cooked well but way too much green sauce dolloped on, and the quesedillas were just not cheesy or spicy enough and the grapefruit martini just was unbalanced somehow. Yet the prices were city prices! Also, the hostess made a weird comment as the senior member of our party who uses a walker went up the ramp way into the dining area: «oh, she’s taking the long way round,» she said. Duh, she’s disabled and using a walking frame, nitwit! Then there was a bartender with a grating voice and laugh that seemed to burst into the dining area whenever he responded to someone’s joke at the bar or something. So, although the food was adequate and the service very good, overall it’s just not 4 stars and I don’t know why everyone is giving that rating.

This has always been one of my favorite places to dine, ever since they opened their doors. While probably not one of the first places people think of when in need of excellent food, great atmosphere, terrific table service, or even that special place for those really special occasions, I assure you that from your first time at David’s, it will always be on your shortlist of excellent fine dining restaurants within Western New York. The food is always of the best of quality, and prepared by a staff that certainly knows what it takes to make fine dining a true experience. I’ve probably tried just about everything on their menu at least once, and never do I leave disappointed. They also pride themselves with a great selection of wines, and there’s not a drink the well trained bar staff can’t make for you to enjoy. So, whether you stop in for a great meal, or merely drop in for a few drinks to catch up with old friends, I highly recommend David’s Grille as top-notch for any occasion.

Been here for a drink and appetizer before — lobster risotto app is amazing — but finally got to try dinner for restaurant week. The place is very nice and service is good. The food was nicely done and very tasty. They also had all the wines they serve by the glass for 20.14 a bottle(nice touch). Enjoyed the experience and am looking forward to going back and trying more soon.

I haven’t eaten here yet but every time I visit my parents we head here for Dirty Martinis. Hands down the best dirtys I’ve had and that’s saying a lot because I know my booze. The atmosphere is pretty chic for Orchard Park and love the bartender he’s NYC sassy which I appreciate with my martini.

Have wanted to visit David’s for some time now and finally made it on Valentine’s Day. I’ll cut to the chase … I liked it a lot … will go again … and you should too. Do you want to know why? Read on … We started with the Soup de Jour which was Roasted Red Pepper & Pear Bisque; it was VG. Next we split a Beet Salad consisting of both red and yellow beets, assorted greens and enjoyed the sunflower seed encrusted chevre medallions. Entrees were Filet of Beef and a «Seafood Tower». The Filet was done a little less than we ordered but it was so tasty and tender it didn’t matter. The ‘Tower’ was for a seafood lover. It had all the usual suspects: scallops, shrimp, crab meat and a lobster tail all around and over a risotto cake. I would have preferred a scoop of risotto instead of the cake but It was all VG as well. For our wines we chose the Rodney Strong and J Lohr cabs although the wine list had many other fine selections. Our server ‘Danielle’ added to the evening. She was quick, pleasant and efficient and I’m sure credit should go to the kitchen and the rest of the staff as well. To finish up, we wanted something lighter for dessert so had the Berry Cup. The berries were a delicious and fresh combination with whipped cream over custard. Good thing I ‘cut to the chase’ aye?

Fine upscale dining in the village of Orchard Park. The décor is tasteful and sophisticated, the wait staff is extremely polite and efficient. The menu is not overly complicated but refined. This is definetly not a burger joint and the prices certainly reflect the menu choices and location(appitizers range from $ 12 – 15, Entrée’s range from $ 22-$ 40) My guest and I split an order of the Seafood Mac n Cheese as an appitizer and it was out of this world. Creamy, rich, loaded with seafood and it ate like a meal. You could easily order this as an entrée instead of appitizer. I had the Boston Bibb Lettuce salad(Pear, apple, gorgonzola cheese crumbles, candied walnuts, dried cranberries & orange maple vinaigrette and the lettuce was tender and fresh), and for dinner I had the Lobster Pasta(Lobster & roasted corn in a light brandy cream sauce tossed with black pepper fettuccini and fresh herbs) and it was divine. My guest had the Filet of Beef and it was cooked to perfection and as he said«melted in his mouth». Dinner for 2 with appitizer & drinks will set you back about $ 100 so again this place is not a cheap eats but the food and overall dining experience is well worth the pricetag. Very nice choice for a special night out or special occasion.

My wife and I visit WNY a few times each year when visiting family. We always like to go out to a nice dinner and recently we went to David’s as it was recommended to us. Nice décor and fairly busy so we anticipated a nice evening. We ordered cocktails; a Manhattan for me and a Cosmopolitan for my wife. Manhattan was weak, watered down and had a fair amount of ice floating in it. Not enough to be considered«on the rocks» but far too much to be «up». The Cosmo was cloyingly sweet and despite what it said on the cocktail list, clearly was not made from scratch but was a mix. Not a good start. The food was ok, somewhat bland and very VERY rich. Lots of cream and butter — Paula Dean would have loved it, we did not. There were pools of grease and fat under the meat and even at the bottom of our pasta bowls. The price was right if David’s was a Four Star restaurant but it’s not so the price was far, far too high. Considering we heard good things and the Unilocal reviews were positive we were a bit surprised and disappointed.

I’ve only come here once but it was really tasty. There are some pricey dishes but the three of us decided to order 3 or 4 small plates to try everything and still be satisfied. Every single thing was tasty and pretty and I would come back again without pause. The interior is classic modern with ample seating.

David’s Grille is located in the Village of Orchard Park across the street from Mangia. The restaurant is contemparary upscale restaurant, but like most WNY restaurants you’ll be fine wearing jeans to being dressed-up. The menu consists of a dishes covering a wide range of items from seafood to lamb. We began our meal with the fried calamari and the lobster-crab cakes. The calamari was good, although a little more well-done than I would like, but a good starter nonetheless. The lobster-crab cake was amazing. It consisted of 2 large cakes drizzled with a sweet Thai chili sauce. For entrees, we had the New Zealand Rack of Lamb and the Frenched Chicken Breast. The lamb was cooked to order and the white truffle mashed potatoes and the porcini mushroom essence was well prepared and a very nice compliment to the dish. The chicken was extremely moist with crab & smoked bacon stuffing making this a wonderful dish. For dessert, we had the crème brûlée and the turtle cheesecake, but dishes were a great finish although I have had better. All-in-all, David’s Grille is very good and has good service. Definitely recommend a visit.

David’s is a wonderful restaurant. The staff are very nice and helpful from when you make your reservation to when you pay your bill. The food is awesome. Unlike some other restaurants in town, at David’s you get great food for your money. The atmosphere is great for families or couples. We bring friends and family who visit from out of town to David’s. In fact, Friday we will be doing it again and I cannot wait. This is truly a gem of the area.

Hubby and I met a friend here for a Valentine’s Day dinner(limited menu). Very surprised in that the restaurant was not too campy and into the whole«love» thing. Offerings were many, however not the full menu. Something for everyone. I had the pasta primavera(not listed as such however many wonderful fresh veggies came along for the ride) with a Ketel One Vodka sauce. Shrimp was to be incorporated however since I am not a seafood fan, it was not. Lovely. I brought some home to my daughter who eats NOTHING and she enjoyed it. Vietnamese Fresh Roll was everything and more than I anticipated. Wasabi — OHMY. Fresh dipped strawberries with the check could not have made it any sweeter. Love this place and I shall return. to hunt down Jeremy, the coolest waiter I have ever come across. This place is fantastic… I’m sure all the waitstaff is great however Jeremy was .well. the best.

I am a regular at the classy Orchard Park watering hole and have always said it is truly one of the best restaurants in all of the Southtowns. My favorite thing to do is to sit in the far corner of the bar and have a few glasses of great wine and a light meal. I took advantage of both this Thursday night since I happen to be there during Restaurant week. They absolutely knocked it out of the park. I had the grillled pork chop and my guest enjoyed the salmon and we both commented on how extraordinary our meals were.

We had a very nice meal at David’s — everything was very good although my soup was not quite as hot as I would have liked. Great specials and creative presentation made the meal really nice. I hated to eat my filet with«veggie stack» as it was so pretty on the plate. The strip steak is HUGE! Definitely plan on left-overs if you order it. One of my other companions had the Shepard’s Pie special — it look really good but the presentation was not a traditional Shepard’s pie as the potatoes were served as a dollop on the top rather than covering the whole thing so it was more stew with potatoes rather than pie. A bit noisy but not so much that we couldn’t talk over dinner. Will definitely plan on visiting again when we are in the Southtowns.

Could be my new local favorite spot. Great service in the bar & dining room. Nice selection of brew & wine. It is fancy without being stuffy & the food tastes great. You can take your wife there for a terrific dinner & a bottle of wine or just hang out in the bar & put down a few beers & a home made burger. Prices are not out of this world.

Good décor, friendly greeters at the door, highly competent bartender, professional wait and bus staff, and excellent food. It was Valentine’s Day. V-day is when you shouldn’t bash a restaurant because it is one of the more difficult and busy days of the year for restaurants. But when they pull it off well despite it being V-day, a restaurant deserves accolades. We had lobster & crab cakes and spring rolls as appetizers, both very good. For entrees we had filet mignon and Ahi tuna, both excellent. The tuna was the best I have had anywhere in a couple years… perfectly rare and incredibly tender… the mixed veggies were perfectly al dente, the potato strings crispy, and the Asian sauce well balanced. Extensive wine list too. I am very much looking forward to my next visit.
