Seriously the worst food, dining experience, &waitress i’ve ever had. I’ve only ever been here one time but it was so bad I would never give it a second chance. They actually attempted to sit us at a table with dirty dishes on it. Sorry, but im not sittiing in front of other customers half eaten meals. So now that they have taken the dishes away they bring us back to the same table and seat us. The table was still dirty so the waitress wipes it down flinging the food pieces everywhere. By this time I really thought I was getting PUNKED! i just kept saying to my husband«do you want to leave?».I asked the waitress why we had to sit at a dirty table when the whole section was empty with plenty of clean tables. She said it was because she already stocked the others and didnt want to do it again before she left. Okay. The food… Im not even going to get into the food because im sure you already get the point.

We have enjoyed the Amherst original pancake house for years. We recently moved from the north towns to the south towns so we started going to the OP location. After attempt #3, I’m going to start making the trek back up to Amherst because the quality and service is so much better. Today we were there for over 2 hours. My boyfriend’s meal came out probably 15 minutes before mine. He was almost done eating when mine came out(if he had waited until mine came, his eggs would have been cold– what’s worse than cold eggs?). The manager walked by and I made eye contact with her several times, but she didn’t stop to ask how anything was, nor did she seem to care that we were there for so long waiting. Or that only one of us was eating. I realize it was a Sunday so they were a bit busier than usual, but the Amherst location is always this busy and the service and food is so much better.

It was my first time coming here. The prices were very expensive especially for the amount of food they give you. They start you off with a shot glass of water(this is considered a medium drink). I got Apple crepes with a side of bacon, which usually takes only 15 – 20 minutes to make and my boyfriend got over easy eggs with home fries and toast. It took them 35 – 40 minutes to get our food to us. And when they showed up with our plates, the sides weren’t even ready yet. The food was good, but definitely not worth the money they’re asking for it.

Went with family for breakfast. And while the food was quite good and portions large, the wait was unforgivable. Our waitress was very kind and quick to refill coffee cups but when waiting an hour and twenty minutes for six adult meals and two children’s meals even the waitress knew there was an issue and shied away from our table with now restless and hangry kids. While quality food does take time and we certainly were not the only customers it’s difficult to find excuses when all the tables around you(that had been seated for fifteen minutes) are receiving their ample meals. When asked to see a manager about what the hold up was we were told there was no manager until the afternoon and received rolling eyeballs from the hostess. All in all the food was very good but don’t waste precious family bonding time here, call ahead and get it to go(even if you do have to order a day or so in advance).

Horrendous service. Burnt everything and took over an hour to recieve our food. Then waitress proceeded to drop most of it on the way to the table

I took my gal here for a late morning breakfast. The food is OK but they don’t give you much and it’s expensive. It made me think about staying in my underwear, doing a few dishes, and making it at home. Eggs are cheap and omelettes are not hard to make. If they want to make it better and justify their present prices they need to update the place some and give you more food. You won’t be asking for a doggie bag here, that’s for sure, and it looks too much like the Ponderosa it used to be. In fact I wish I was still a Ponderosa. I don’t like this place despite the fact it isn’t bad.

Had the best omlette ever here many years ago as a visitor. When I later moved here, I couldn’t wait to go back. I didn’t even have the omlette, but everything else was just as good!

I have nothing negative to say about this restaurant. My friends and I go here every time I’m in the area. They have wonderful potato pancakes and bacon and coffee just a lot of good breakfast food. everything’s delicious not much more to say than that.

We ate there this AM, yes it is expensive, but usually worth it. Not so today. Our waitress had an attitude problem of some kind, quite perfunctory. My wife ordered 2×4, two eggs and four pancakes and tea, I ordered 2 eggs with bacon and 3 potato pancakes. My wife’s eggs were overlooked and the pancakes cool, sent back, and fixed correctly. Paid extra for real maple syrup, when the waitress was asked to refill the used maple syrup on the cold pancakes, she was told she had enough on the table! My order came out with regular pancakes and they were returned, when the potato pancakes came out about 10 minutes later my breakfast was finished. The above meals cost $ 24 before tax and tip. I mentioned the above to. The hostess/cashier and she apologized profusely, it offered no discount or any other form of compensation. When we pay top dollar we expect top quality and service, today we did not get either.

Seriously, THE best pancake I’ve ever had. The 49er Flap Jacks are incredible. I’ve been going here for years and I have never been disappointed in the quality of their food. The service can be iffy at times and the orange juice comes in a shot glass, but it is fresh squeezed, or so they tell me. The décor is wretched, but i’d probably eat this food in a port-a-potty if I had to. So lets review, 49er Flap Jacks are rock-n-roll amazing! Faux brick and other terrible décor, you’ll live.

It’s always a delight to come to the Pancake House for breakfast — we don’t go often, so it’s a real treat when we do. I like to praise them on how real their ingredients are; actual cream for tea, good jam. But it’s not just the little things that make this place great. Whatever you end up ordering, be it pancakes or an omlette, the food is always fantastic! I hardly consider myself a big eater(meaning I would probably be better off with smaller portioned meals), but I can always find room for their Blueberry Pancakes and a side of delicious hash. The service is always wonderful, and I honestly believe the Pancake House is always worth going to.

Awful. The apple pancake came in a pool of some kind of oil. We put a spoon under one side of the plate to keep the pancake from soaking in it. Décor tired and so was the service. Will not ever go back.

Breakfast this morning was my first at this clean and lively spot. Very busy Sunday morning but the wait for a table was about 20 minutes. Once seated we were greeted by our waitress almost immediately. She was friendly and efficient and although she was very busy she still took the time to explain menu items. Great coffee and delicious pancakes. Omelets are huge and oven baked not grill fried. Overall yummy!!! Next time we will try the Dutch pancake, which looked absolutely delicious.

Not the place you wanna go if you’re cheap or can’t eat a full breakfast. This place is always full of people, its a bit pricey but the quality is always really good. Even the orange juice is freshly squeezed but expect to pay for that.

I overlooked the fact that this place smells like a nursing home as soon as you walk in the door. It seems crowded with senior citizens who keep walking through the door telling the hostess that they will seat themselves. The décor is homely and reminds me of my Grandmother’s house. The food is higher priced but it is well worth it. If you want cheap breakfast food go to Dennys. Both my 6 y/o and 2 y/o finished every scratch of pancakes that were on their plate, and even some of my dutch baby which takes about 20 minutes to bake. For two adults and two children our bill was $ 32 which I don’t think is bad if you leave with full bellies and a doggie bag.

Great food, usually eat here for breakfast when I’m in Buffalo. However the place is kinda pricey for a breakfast joint, so. Had to ding it for that. The bacon is great, definitely get that if you eat here.

Okay, so the service is friendly. They do keep refilling your coffee, which is awesome. I do not like their style of omelettes. It’s like an egg cake or pie. But not in the way I like it, like quiche style. It’s not even the omelette that I am used to. Not sure if that is the style for this area. But I didn’t like it. I got the spinach and feta omelette. It seemed as if it needed some sort of sauce. My friend got my second choice, the mushroom omelette, which touted various mushrooms, seemed to have a canned mushroom sauce just poured over her omelette cake. Eeeeh? Not sure if I will be going back here.

I’ve been here before… Always thought they were pricey for breakfast food… This visit re-affirms that… I was hungry and all I wanted was some pancakes, and maybe some of their homemade corned beef hash I have heard so much about.,. Well the only pancake combos they have come with eggs… I didn’t want eggs… Also the combos only come with 3 pancakes whereas the pancake entrees come with six… I was hungry so I went with the six… I asked the server how much corned beef hash was to add as a side(it is not listed on the menu which is strange), and she told me almost 6 bucks… It was 5-something…Well I thought that was a little too steep so I added the bacon at $ 4+ … I got peanut butter pancakes which are basically regular pancakes with pb morsels on top… I also added a medium grapefruit juice, Pancakes were good… Juice was good… And their bacon is some of the best around — thick slices with a smokey flavor cooked about perfect… Bill was $ 15.66…I tipped $ 3.00 Very good over all but too pricey…$ 18 or 19 dollars for breakfast is too pricey imo… This is why I don’t go there that often… I also should say I went there very hungry… After eating this I felt like I could have eaten more… Not cool for that price. 3 stars because of unfair pricing,

My new place to go to when I need comfort. At first — I was afraid to try new dishes. I stuck with what I knew. And discovered they don’t really do great spuds for Bfast unless you are looking for potato pancakes — WHICH they do better than great. My menu options have changed so much! I now have no hesitation with getting crepes, SWEDISH or omelets. There is great pride and professionalism put into all the meals. The food and acoutrements are exceptional. Let me reiterate in that I don’t have an issue with trying different things, just an issue with places that offer up promises and deliver squat. I never knew what to think about this place until I discovered«Dutch Baby». And Mandarin Crepes. Swedish Pancakes(which I thought only Uncle Johns or IHOP could do well). Now I have Blueberry crepes, sour crème crepes… fresh mushroom omelets and crepes. Enough said. This place is worth the trip. Good food, anytime of day.

Writing a review for the IHOP on Walden Ave. in Buffalo, NY reminded me that I needed to leave a review for this place because it was an identical situation. I don’t know, maybe I’m just invisible(all 6’2″ of me) but this was the first of the two times locally that after having been seated I was just forgotten about. I sat, I watched, I wondered, I left. The end. Crummy looking place inside too — that usually gets me excited because I love«hole in the wall» places that churn out good food!
