I had the pastrami sandwich, Awesome Fries, and a Cherry Coke to go! it is always fresh and tasty. Definitely my Burger Joint

I thought this was the same as Charlie’s in Los Alamos but oops WRONG. I got the double King burger which was obviously frozen patties. Bread was stale and had no seasoning or good taste. Bacon was a joke for $ 3. Cheese even had no taste. The fries tasted like old oil. Reality disappointed in this place and will never return. No stars really. $ 11.50 with medium no refill drink. Don’t bother!

This is a local favorite of mine. I grew up eating here with friends. If you get a burger try to make sure it has two patties, just to get more of the yummy patty. I usually get the Super King and love it. If I feel like being different I get the chicken sandwich. Always split the fries, up to 3 or 4 people can enjoy. Very much a place for the locals.

I’ve yet to try the falafel but this place has one of the best charbroiled burgers I’ve had. Simple yet delicious burgers that will make you avoid in n out. The fries are addicting and the burger add ons make it even better. I’ve got to give thanks to my cousin who brought us here. You know they are good because I came back again the same week. Lol

The falafel was overpriced for what you’re getting– I read other reviews claiming about the tahini sauce and agree it was scarce at not what would be desired. The fries also could have used some(or any) flavoring. Overall not somewhere I’d want to go back– at least for falafels…

We didn’t stay to eat so I can not comment on food but they do NOT have milkshakes, chicken strips, grilled cheesy or corn dog… So not the best place with kids

By far the best burger in Orcutt, or even Santa Maria, in my opinion. Great charbroiled taste, always put together nicely, and has always been consistent in all the years I’ve gone. Luckily they now accept credit cards. An order of fries is huge, plenty for two people if not more. Hope this place never goes away!

The food is ok. $ 7.50 for a Falafel is a bit much. The Tahini sauce is runny with no flavor. Much to be desired in the customer service area.

Great burgers and the fries are even better! The ONLY place I found that actually make the fries extra crispy when you ask. The burgers(from jr — king) are big, juicy, and delicious! ALL of the portions are BIG and the prices are very reasonable-my 2 teenage girls and myself always eat for less than $ 20 with lots of leftovers. I have never had bad service or a bad meal from Charlies. Nothing fancy, but all in all a great little burger joint.

My family gets charlies whenever we dont want to cook anf want something good. They do take a while to make the food but thats because they make your order on the spot so you know its fresh. Great fast food stop good burgers and fries. Way better then mcdonalds.

I’m not sure why this only has 3 stars. The falafels are great and the prices are too. Yes the building is a bit rundown but that shouldn’t be the reason for fewer stars. I always stop here to eat on my way down or up 101. It’s usually quite busy — that should be a hint!

2.5 stars would be perfect for this one. Burgers were okay; not bad, not great. Definitely should take your food to go; the seating area is small/cramped and hot. Probably would try a new burger place next time.

I LOVE this place! Although I do feel like the quality is slipping since all the changes in ownership and what not. If you love greasy food here you go, if your looking For amazing burgers and fries, wrong place.

One of the best burgers in Santa Maria, great portion and taste. I recently went in here to grab a quick bite to eat, and it was definitely delicious. Very very nice staff working here. Inside the joint it is a bit run-down, the seats are broken. This part of Orcutt is in a boom-phase so CKF should fix those seats and make it look a little more inviting.

Real good burgers at very reasonable prices. Incredibly consistent too. When I say«good,» I don’t mean like Burger of the God good. More like on the same tier as In-N-Out or Five Guys, though more unique. That scratch-an-itch good. That greasy glory good. That«I don’t eat fast food, but dammit I need a fucking burger wrapped in foil paper with cheese stuck to the inside lining and a bag of fries that grows increasingly translucent by the minute» good. One order of fries is too much. If they still offer half-orders, I’d go that route, even split between two peeps.

Went here for lunch, having always wondered about the place after driving by it all the time. Walked indoors and my first impression was, «Brilliant! They are saving on overhead by providing a no frills experience!» What this equates to is some tables and a wooden booth or two. No napkins, no condiments, and no self-service beverages. I noted they had a drive-thru. PROS: King Burger was tasty, but nothing special; they serve crinkle fries, and there were plenty of them; service staff were friendly enough; prices seemed reasonable; dining area clean; service was prompt CONS: no access to extra napkins, ketchup, etc. in dining area I rarely see any cars in front of this place. .. maybe that’s why it has a spartan approach to service? Anyway, the food was okay, but this is not a place I’ll add to my list of, «gotta get back here soon».

Heart attack food for sure — but if you’re good — treat yourself to one of these fine juicy, flavor-filled burgers! I had the jalapeño burger w/bacon and cheese — it was spicy but still leaves me mouth watering. I’m definitely coming back for the Ortega(which is a type of chili pepper) which I will undoubted layer cheese and bacon on!

My friend told me this small local spot was good for burgers, but you know the Unilocaler in me wants to try something different. We pull up to this little house looking place and see a domino’s delivery car in the drive thru. haha Guess he wanted something different too! The menu is burgers, sandwiches, and falafel? I get the falafel with avocado. The falafel is good, not greasy or dried out. It comes on a thin, straight from the package pita, and they hook the avocado up! Every bite is filled with green goodness. On the menu it says fries«one size» $ 1.25. My friend and I each got fries – we shoulda shared! Tons of crinkle cut yummy fries. :) This place is alright. I probably shouldn’t get so much avocado next time. Ha!
