The other night — on the way home. it was a long day. A beer and grub was just what I needed. I found it at the 505 Tavern on Main Street in dntn OC. What a low-key excellent find on a street of numerous choices. Glad I went with what was at the end of the street.505 Tavern. I tried a new beer for the heck of it. Pineapple Cider. Huh. Wow. It was good. Worked well with my greek wraps. I will be back again. It was a good deal, nice environment, good service — thx Mike, and easy locale to find.

Found this restaurant on Unilocal while in town doing some errands. I ordered the Reuben & my wife ordered the Greek salad. WOW, great food! Would not have guessed it. Prices were very reasonable, $ 9 for the Reuben &7 for the salad. Could have been easy 3 – 4 dollars more per order. Should have taken some pictures before we ate, but couldn’t wait. Take the time to come here, also listened to some Rock & Roll, a good time.

We went to watch the Democratic Debate. I like the feel of the place. I am not a pub eater. I do not like to drink alcohol. So, we had just a tea. I liked the people serving us. I had a good time, but I can’t say the food or drink was great. It it not the sort of food or drink we eat since we are simply into health food!

What a fun place. Food is great, everybody is friendly and usually has the ballgames playing on tv. Mike, Cassy, Drea and Billy make this place awesome. I miss Barb… Great food comes out of that tiny kitchen. Drinks are strong and prices are very fair(especially during happy hour).

Love love this place. Was very sad when I moved away from the OC. The Fondue is the best in town, plus the happy hour drinks are awsome, Love me a good Madras. Wish I lived closer, when traveling through the OC I always stop in.

Had a really good experience here! Our awesome bartender, Mike, was really nice and welcoming. The food we had(baked mac and cheese) was AWESOME and tasted so home made. Great stiff drinks and good beers on tap. It’s a good little watering hole for downtown Oregon City :-)

WOW, i am on a «5 Star» giving mood! But it is time for me to catch up on some reviews and they all happen to be great places! The owner of this place, Mike, is great! We went to high school together and didn’t stay in contact until we came in here! It is a perfect«Bar/Tavern» with really good food! Yes, I said«Really Good» food. This place is super clean, comfortable and has plenty of TV’s for all your sporting events too! Add this to your list of stops in Oregon City!

Never judge a book by its cover. I have been coming to the 505 ever since Mike Berman took it over in 2010. The best time to frequent the 505 is during the day, and early evening. Come down later if you are seeking a night life. If you have the pleasure to meet Barb, the daytime bartender, you are in luck. She runs a tight ship, and will make sure you have everything that you need. As a local, I go down to write on my laptop and talk to friends that frequent the place. It will surprise you how friendly some of these people are. The 505 is the place to go if you want to make new friends and meet great people. The menu is far from deep fried bar fair, they don’t have a deep fryer and everything is cooked from the oven or flat top. As a seven year resident of Oregon City, the 505 is the where I go! This morning I enjoyed my custom made breakfast burrito prepared by Barb. Give the 505 a chance. It is a good place.

I really enjoy stopping in at the 505. The owner, his wife, the cook and the bartender are the nicest people you could ever meet. My favorite thing is always«Barb’s Drink Special». She makes an amazing Bloody Mary!

I’m not sure how long it’s been since Gabe started cooking breakfast during the week but I’ve been sucked in every week for the past 6, working my way through the early morning offerings. I’ve even tried some of the lunch options. My favorite was the Encherita(a spicy wet burrito) which I believe is in the appetizer section of the menu. One morning for kicks I asked Gabe if he could make an Encherita omelette. He brought out this hot platter with hash browns and a 3-egg omelette filled with spicy chicken and cheese and covered in enchilada sauce and more cheese. Oh and with a couple of corn tortillas on the side instead of toast. Perfection! I like that they use Happy Rock coffee, patronizing a local Gladstone roaster. I have hit the place early and found it quite busy and other days I’ve been the only one there. I guess it depends how much traffic from the county courthouse makes the couple of block trek. Between Gabe and Mike, the owner, I’ve always received wonderful service and more than delicious food. I’m hoping to check it out on a day when Gabe isn’t cooking just so I see how consistent the food is.

505 is hoppin’. They have open mic Fridays and Saturdays and several musicians playing throughout the week. John J. runs the open mic and if you like old country music this is a must see. The bartenders are friendly and fast, the locals are fun and love to dance and the owner Micheal is really fun and obviously treats his employees and patrons very well. My husbands band played here last Saturday and it was a hoot. If you are lucky you might get to see a few very well known local musicians play their hits and hear some rad saxophon! I am definitely a fan of the 505 and cant wait to get a sitter and go back soon!
