Great food and drinks at a reasonable price. It’s definitely a local bar with a lot of regulars. I’ve had breakfast there a few times and have not been disappointed.

It’s just getting better and better. High quality food options on the special menu. Dungeness. Halibut. I’ve heard a rumor that they are expanding as well. So make sure to come in. The drinks here are amazing as well.

Finally drove by when there wasn’t a line out the door. Homey, super friendly staff, DELICIOUS breakfast. I had some chicken fried steak/egg/bacon sandwich with dipping gravy, he had the chicken fried steak omelette. With my bloody marys and his screwdrivers, it was the absolute perfect breakfast. I will now gladly wait in line any day of the week for breakfast here. And PS — adults only!

We tried Ranee’s tonight for the first time. We will be back. Great atmosphere, great food and service. Chicken fried steak so tender you don’t need a knife. Halibut fish and chips were the bomb!!! Excellent.

Well, this was’t how I wanted to spend Thursday night. Tried this place after a breakfast we had a couple of months earlier. Called in and ask how busy they were. They said not busy at all. When people showing up 10 minutes after you and pay for their dinner before get your dinner. That should have been a sign. ¾ of the way through my second beer and I was nursing it, our dinner shows up. My wife’s burger medium on the out side and chewy rare on the inside. The fries were not even cooked and still crunchy cold. My dinner was fair, not something I would order again but a lot better than my wife’s. Waitress was nice but extremely busy, we left a good tip for her and she did take my wife’s food and one beer off. I really was hoping the second time would confirm that this was a good food joint. This is the last time we go here.

My boyfriend and I were staying in Oregon City for a wedding. We drove all around Portland to get dinner and the waits were hours long and we literally could not find somewhere to eat in Portland, believe it or not. We were so frustrated we went back to Oregon City and stopped in at Renee’s. The server/bartender was so welcoming. He sat down with us and talked to us even. Great service and great end to our frustrating night.

Go here. They are fun, funny, fantastic. Ranee is wonderful — she makes you feel like you’re her best friend in the world! And she truly means it! Marcia is a hoot, she’ll crack you up. The guys in the kitchen are nice. The food it good, happy hour is good, the crowd is good crowd and lotsa TV’s! PS, they’re expanding next door into the old trophy shop! Eeks! :)

I love it here!!! The staff is freaking awesome. It’s busy but they always make time for you, and they are the sweetest people ever. I recommend going on week nights for happy hour when it’s not SO crowded. Their food/happy hour menu is AMAZING, too.

OK, having gone here for lunch several times, my better half asked we try it for dinner, boy am I glad we did! The pours here, well as best I can describe, will put any Chinese restaurant to shame, they are generous to say the least. The dinners are out of this world. I like a good country fried steak and this place has the best I have ever had. the sausage gravy is A-W-E-S-O-M-E as in NAILEDIT!!! Can’t wait to go back!!!

Delicious fresh food, prepared as we asked. The crab cocktail was huge, extremely fresh. Cocktail sauce was not overpowering. Plenty big as an entrée. The fire burger(med rare) was cooked as ordered. Drinks made with fresh squeezed juice. Service was friendly and helpful, answering all questions, without being overly pushy.

Really unimpressed. There was only a group of 4 girls sitting at the bar when we arrived, who later turned out to be friends of the bartender /server, so they sat and chatted the whole time we were there while we didn’t get refills on our drinks. I ordered a BLT and added avocado for either $ 1.50 or $ 2.00. The picture I’ve uploaded is a picture of the tiniest sliver of avocado I’ve ever seen. The bread was crisp, which I value in a BLT. My mom ordered another sandwich which was equally mediocre. I probably won’t be back. There’s nothing worse than crappy service paired with mediocre food that I paid way too much for.

We were referred to Ranee’s by Trails End(which demonstrates a very close community) as another option for good breakfast and we have not been disappointed. This is is our third visit in a month and we love it — great service, excellent bloody mary’s(many variations) and everything we have ordered is very good; chip dip, double stuffed hash browns, Eggs Benedict, french dip are some examples. This is the epitome of a great neighborhood upscale bar/restaurant. Their interest in your satisfaction is constantly demonstrated, we will be regulars.

This joint is going for the«upscale dive» feel. The waitress was on point – friendly and fun. The happy hour menu was diverse and affordable. They had couches that faced TVs. Something about the décor, though. The walls were too dark. There were weird decapitated baby decorations up for halloween. For a haunted house – totally awesome. When I’m trying to get a quesadilla with a new lady-friend, it’s a little odd. This is coming from a diehard horror movie fan. The dissected baby décor will not be welcomed by some customers just trying to get nachos. Good cheap food. Couches. Service. Just don’t look around too much.

A one star is a stretch for this wretched place. The food was the best part of the place and it was horrible at best. Rubbery eggs. It made me sick for the rest of the day. Even worse was the wait staff. Except for telling me the specials, the waiter said two words to me the whole time. He grunted and scowled despite me smiling and saying please and thank you. This is the worst place I have eaten ever. I don’t consider myself a picky person, but don’t understand how a place with relatively good Unilocal reviews could be so awful. Please save your stomach and the rude incompetent wait staff and avoid this place altogether.

I feel like any place in Oregon City almost needs to be rated on a «dog years» type of rating system. If you haven’t figured this out on your own prepare to have your mind blown… food in the OC really sucks. This place is a solid exception. With my preconceived notions tucked firmly under my arm we decided to give this place a shot one night while passing by. I went with the weekend prime rib special which was cooked to order(med rare) and flavorful. I thought it was better than Clyde’s Prime Rib and significantly cheaper. The next time I thought I’d go bat shit crazy and order the ribs. I was sure they had to be baked as opposed to smoked so I was prepared to be disappointed. Once again I was pleasantly surprised. We tried it again with some friends and I ordered the bacon blue burger. This time I had high expectations and I was surprised again. Honestly this was the best bacon burger I’ve ever had. I had everyone at the table try the bacon because it has a delicious maple flavor to it. Best bacon I’ve ever had and it was at a sports pub? Weird I know. Ok…so just to prove I’m not the owner I’ll say this place can get kind of noisy and sometimes service is slow. It really is a sports bar with loud customers and several tv’s going non stop. That said… I don’t know what kind of magic they have in that kitchen but everything I’ve tried has been fantastic at very reasonable prices. As you can tell I’ve become a regular.

It pains me to watch restaurantours struggle so much in Oregon City. This is a local beer bar friendly town, with little room for fine dining. Ranees had me at hello until tonight. My last thought was that they may be breaking down in quality to survive in this town. I hope not. I hope that tonight was simply the chef off of his game. Same amazing service but the food. The food was not great. I do not doubt quality of ingredients, I do doubt the way everything was prepared. The prices are above average for Oregon City, and even above average for any restaurant that is not labeled«fine dining». We ordered the Prime Rib Dip, and the Prawn Pasta with a side salad. Positive hands up for that salad. The greens were crisp and dark, with cucumber and bits of real bacon. What a side salad. It was good! It was really good. The pasta was a mess. It was not good. The pasta was overcooked. The wine in the sauce had not been cooked off properly. The prawns were very tough from over-cooking and were too salty. So salty, my tongue is still burning. It looked good, but it was not. We did not enjoy it at all. For the price comparable to a steakhouse I was left wanting. The Prime Rib Dip was very confusing. When I think of a prime rib dip I assume tender, juicy, pink slices of meat. This dip tasted like grilled roast beef. It was tough and it did not look like homemade prime rib slices. For a regular French Dip, it was not bad but for a prime rib dip it did not meet the criteria. Again for the price I really wanted wanted something better. The fries were good. I like that specific style of skin on slightly limp fries. I hope that this was a one time dining experience. I am not giving up on Ranee’s. I love Ranee, she is a hard worker and so is her bartender! I hope that they pull back up to the standards I once tasted only a few short months ago.
