Good fresh home made chocolate, prices are good as well. Not being a chocolate person I found a few good things to leave with and try.

Little candy place on the side of the road out in Orient. Tons of chocolate! Try the dark chocolate salted caramel truffles! Heavenly. $ 9 minimum for credit card use. Worth a stop if you are out here.

Best homemade candy and great assortment of other candies, tins, gifts and more. Marzipan logs are the BEST. Well worth the trip. Y

Candy man was just what I needed after the ferry ride! Selection is great from Chocolate bark to dark chocolate covered Oreos to any kind of animal gummy you can think of. Everyone in the car found something they loved.

My father LIVES for candy man. Yes, the chocolates are expensive and the teens who man the counter aren’t always helpful, but the turtles, chocolate covered strawberries(seasonal), and chocolate covered oreos are fantastic. Mostly we go out of tradition — this is a small family business that we love to support.

Love this place, I visit family out in LI a couple times a year and without fail every time since forever this is a must stop. My family has been going to the Candyman since candy was being sold out of a garage. The chocolate is great. I have my favorites, everything dark chocolate but that of course is just my preference. –Peanut Butter Crunch, tastes like a butterfinger –Clusters –Marzipan –Oreos –Butter Crunch, which is not located in the glass front area but is kept behind on the counter I can’t comment on the rest of the candy, like gummies etc. I just feel like I can go to CVS and get Swedish fish but I can’t get chocolate like this anywhere else. The staff are not particularly friendly/borderline rude, almost to the point that I feel as if I am inconveniencing them, sorry that you work here and I want some chocolate? Obviously doesn’t stop me from coming back time after time!

I just love going to the Candyman sweet shop. I make it a point of getting there when May rolls around into June because for the month of June this delightful store sells their Chocolate covered strawberries which are out of this world!!! My family and I live far from the Candyman but every summer when we go to Greenport for the beach or to go to the fairs or for a bite to eat we ALWAYS stop to get our fill of yummy chocolates which they have a vast variety of. They are a bit pricey but you absolutely get what you pay for. So Unilocalers when you do visit our Long Island beaches and you are close by I recommend that you stop by for a visit and taste this sinful chocolate place!!! You won’t be disappointed!

We always stop in here whenever we venture that far east on the north fork, which is often. The chocolates are freshly made and they offer a wide variety of fillings in both dark and milk chocolates. They also have a decent selection of sugar free candies. What I appreciate most is the ability to just purchase one or two different pieces to try. We are usually on a motorcycle so we eat it right there, especially in the summer since it would melt by the time we got home.

Candyman is a little chocolate shop right on Rt. 25 in Orient. We always stop there when we go on bike trips to Sag Harbor or Greenport and get little bags of treats to take with us. It’s a small place with a great selection of chocolate and other incredibly fattening items. Just walking through the door is guaranteed to pack on a few pounds. Not exactly a health food store, but what they do they do very well.
