Geppetto’s is my company’s go to meeting place. The food is great. The sunflower wheat bread is unbelievably good. OMG. The staff is friendly and seating is smoke. 6 stars from me.

Been coming here for roughly 2 years now — as they deliver to our office here in Orinda, CA and the sandwichs have always been excellent in my opinion. Overall, I usually order the Egg Salad on Rye — and the sandwich never disappoints at a reasonable price-point for Orinda, CA. Would recommend if you are in the mood for a sandwich in the area.

This place is great for lunch! Skip the slow line at the Safeway Deli and come here for your sandwich instead. The ingredients are higher quality and the service is much better! The price is good for lunch. They have plentiful indoor and outdoor seating. They also serve salads, drinks, and pastries, so there is something to please everyone.

it’s a nice little café if you’re in the neighborhood. the BLTA sandwich, that’s right, ADDEDAVOCADO, was really good! the bacon was crispy, the bread was toasted, just the right amount of mayo, avocado, and beautiful tomatoes, however the coffee was not as strong as one would imagine. well, my cup(at least) was a bit watered down. it’s a solid 4 stars! recommended if you’re ever in Orinda!

This little café is in the center of Orinda across from the golf field. Cozy and homey, they offer a variety of sandwiches, salads and typical café/fast breakfast options. I split an order of a BLTA(yaaaas avocado) with my beau and wasn’t disappointed! It was delectable!!! Especially the bacon which was thin and crispy :3YUM. The only 2 cons that I had during this experience was the bland, water-downed coffee and the prices. My order came out around $ 17 dollars for ONE sandwich, one small chai, and a medium mocha. Great overall but next time, I think I’ll skip the coffee. :)

I’ve been hearing good things about Geppetto’s from my coworkers who get lunch here all the time. I stopped in for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised! The line was just about to the door when I arrived at 12:30 on a Tuesday, line went by pretty quickly and the waitress who took my order at the counter seemed very good at her job. I ordered 2 chicken brie and pesto sandwiches on ciabatta, a single latte, and a poppyseed loaf. Everything was so yum! The latte could have been better but I’m not gonna judge a sandwich place on their handcrafted espressos lol. All around good service, good food, and good ambience. Can’t wait to stop by on my lunch break and try something new. Locals seem to love this place so that really means something. Support local businesses and shop small people!

This place is more than just a café with great food, friendly staff and its dog friendly! The specialty sandwiches are unique(in a good way), and affordable($ 8). I had a grilled eggplant sandwich with red peppers and artichokes. It was tangy, gooey and amazing. My friends had the Turkey Club and also the Chicken Brie & Pesto on Ciabatta. The restaurant serve coffee and ice cream as well. There are several dog-friendly seats in the outdoor patio. They provide a dog bowl and sometimes have dog treats inside at the coffee bar. There is abundant free parking on the street, and an additional parking lot in the back. Much easier parking than downtown Orinda, and a less hectic area.

The perfect café. Is everyone working here an owner?! The attention to detail is exquisite, from cleanliness to facility to menu items to hospitality. Wow. Don’t miss it.

Order the Turkey on Mozzarella w/the Chibata bread. Then finish with the Pear Tart for dessert. You will then become a lifetime customer.

A nice neighborhood deli that makes some serious sandwiches. I had the turkey with cream cheese and cranberry sauce. It wasn’t thanksgiving but it sure tasted like it. If you’re thinking about going to Safeway’s Deli for a sandwich think again and go to Geppetto’s. You’ll be glad that you did!

Really great atmosphere as well as terrific food. I just had the turkey club on the yummy sun flower seed bread. Fantastic coffee! Nice, mellow neighborhood spot too, with ample parking on the street always. Employees are super friendly and top notch with careful attention to details.

I absolutely love this place. The food, atmosphere, and staff are fantastic. I now find myself eating at this place 2 – 3 times per week. I usually get a breakfast sandwich with Sausage, egg, cheese, all the veggies, and avocado on Honey Corn bread. In the afternoon I go with my staple Hot Pastrami with tomato also on Honey Corn. And the gelato is amazing!!! Cookies and crème mixed with salted caramel. So good!!! I really can’t can’t compliment this place enough. The new owner has cheff’d at some of the most well known restaurants in the Bay Area including Chez Panisse!!! This place is what makes Orinda so special. I’ll be coming here for years to come!!!

Geppetto’s is one of my favorite places for sandwiches – I’ve never been disappointed. And if you can manage to get a table(it tends to be crowded), it’s a very pleasant place to spend an hour for lunch.

We come here every Monday morning for the bagels — which are excellent. The coffee is good, but the staff is phenomenal.

My fiancé and I were starving for a lunch and we wanted to try something different. We didn’t want to travel too far and wanted to stay in the local Orinda area. A quick Unilocal search helped us find Geppetto’s Caffe. Geppetto’s has a very cozy, local café vibe. The staff is very friendly. The place is pretty busy around lunch time. The Caffe definitely had many regulars — one of the regulars sitting outside raved to us about the restaurant when we were waiting outside hesitating about whether or not try out the restaurant. For food, I had the chicken sandwich with pesto and brie and my fiancé had a salad and lentil soup. Everything was pretty good. There are definitely a bunch of other menu items that I’d like to try. We’ll probably be back again!

Grabbed some lunch in Orinda and referred to Geppetto’s café. It was my first time here and their selection was pretty impressive. I had a chicken sandwich on a multi grain, with pesto and melted brie. Healthy and light. Im looking forward to trying their Turkey Berry!

Quaint café with a lovely view of the golf course across the road — road is lined with large Sycamores. Shady and cool on hot Summer days. Great outdoor seating. Haven’t tried the food — only coffee and pastries which are standard fare.

I’ve been twice now. First time was meeting up with a former colleague and, being an Orinda local, she knew this would be a good lunch spot. I got a tuna salad sandwich and it was very good. Second visit was with another former colleague, who I worked with in Santa Barbara, and who I recently ran into after not seeing her for 12 years(long story). We had lunch plans for after I facilitated a training nearby and I suggested we give Geppetto’s a try. This time I went with a ½ order of the chicken pesto brie sandwich. I highly recommend that one if you like chicken, pesto and brie. It is soooo tasty. Service was friendly and quick both visits. There is plenty of lot and street parking nearby. This is a great, casual(and tasty) lunch spot.

This is a cute, busy local café that has homey sandwiches and a friendly feel. It’s obvious that a lot of the customers are local and frequent here, as the ladies behind the counter know them by name and order. Parking is street, but it wasn’t too busy when I stopped by around 9am on a weekday. The inside was bustling though, and there were two ladies bustling behind the counter. One of them seemed a little impatient as there were quite a few customers, which was understand but a tiny bit off-putting since this was my first time here. You order first, grab a seat or wait for to-go, and the order will be brought out. Breakfast sandwich with bacon, egg, and swiss on sunflower wheat: ( ) I had a bite of this and thought that it was decently good. I personally don’t like bacon(I know, I know), but I liked that the bacon in this sandwich was generous and not overly cooked so that it was too crispy. The egg was precooked I believe? But it was still good and fluffy. There was also chopped tomato, which was refreshing and a good juicy ingredient as opposed to the other somewhat dry ones. The sunflower wheat had a lot of whole seeds in it, which I liked, but was a tad bit overly toasted so that it was a little hard. Chicken, brie, and pesto on sunflower wheat: ( ) I’d read that this was good, and since I love pesto, I had to try it. I got it with less brie and no mayo, which was a good choice because there was still a lot of brie and with the already-rich pesto, the mayo would have been overkill. The bread was again a little over-toasted and hard, so it cut my mouth a little when I bit into it(to be fair, this happens rather often). The ingredients were fresh and generous, but I felt that the pesto was so generous that it overpowered all the other ingredients and made the sandwich a little out of balance. I appreciate the homey and generous feel of this little café, and I would stop by again for a breakfast or brunch sandwich.

I actually really like this place. It’s been in business 26 years and I now know why! Great customer service too. I used to go to the Bagel corner in Salinas and this is the closest I can get. Something homey, familiar and tasty! They have great salads, sandwiches and coffees. I like the white mocha(They have almond milk!!!), Asian chicken salad, and turkey club on ciabatta. The turkey club is orgasmic. The crisp warm ciabatta with the fresh fluffy bread inside, SERIOUSLYTASTY basil mayo, avocado, turkey and bacon. TRYIT. Omg. YUMMM. The chicken Brie pesto is also super yummy. I customized it with that yummy lemon basil mayo. So fatty but so good. Their soups are also great but vary each week!
