The atmosphere is fairly standard — loud 80s music, a guy in a camo jacket complaining about the lack of A1 Steak Sauce, and a gigantic but deserted gas firepit roaring away outside. However, the food’s actually fairly good, and the beer selection has some nice listings. My portobello mushroom sandwich was well-marinated and not overcooked — juicy and tender without being soft. I’m not a big ciabatta bread fan, but this roll came out well. I upgraded from the house-made chips to a green side salad, which was fine but forgettable. This place is both one of the latest-night places near the Orinda Theater, and only open until about 9 many nights; I ended up here having just missed Table 24 closing up for the night. This is a sleepy stretch of town. I liked my sandwich, I liked my beer, I’d rather go someplace else.

Great beer selection. No happy hour on Sunday and food options are a little on the expense side. Nice ambience but not a place I would rush to go back to.

This place is great service, we sat at the bar on a fairly busy Thursday night. Happy hour was 3 – 5, and we just missed it. They had basketball playing on the three the above the bar. I ordered a beer-they have plenty of choices! My friend normally drinks grey goose, but they don’t carry it, so she got the alternative. For food we got the French dip, which looked delicious. And the fourbore burger. Burger was good, I’m picky about my bun– I don’t like just plain white with seeds.

I ordered the grilled reuben and my friend ordered the steak salad. We both thought the food was excellent. The reuben was very juicy and came with the best housemade potato chips. Our waiter was great! Give this new restaurant a try. I don’t think you will be disappointed. Hopefully, this one will become as established in the square as Shelby’s and Serika.

Another win for Theater Square! Forth Bore brings the«other side of the tunnel» vibe to Orinda. I’m confident that this place will do well. Good selection of local craft brews, and some good-looking entrees. The bar food was pretty good. To the bartenders and servers: You guys do a phenomenal job. The«Orinda vibe» can take some getting used to, so don’t let it get you down. It’s a different world on the«other side of the forth bore»! I’d love to see more small plate options on the menu.

With a large selection of ale’s on tap I decided try the stout, all with $ 6 price points. The beer and service was good but the food was just so so and a bit pricey. We tried the chicken wings which are served with smoke flavoring which is not our style. The burger was decent but again the price was on the high side. Good place to have a quick beer at the bar. There is free parking in the garage with validation.

I’ve only been here for the beers. They have a moderate selection that compares to most middle of the road tap rooms. The food looks promising, a bit on the pricey side, but hey! You’re in Orinda. The service was good, engaging staff, though most of the patrons were drinking wine. It’s right up the block from where I live so I plan on attending more often, though I plan on still frequenting breweries across the«Fourth Bore» in Oakland and Berkeley.

Overall five out of five stars. We started with the wings and truffle fries. Loved every minute of them! We also ate the ribs and pulled pork sandwich along with the four bore burger. All were excellent! They have 28 taps of beer plus a full liquor bar. Dining in the bar area left you with a wonderful view point to any of the three 55″ tv’s. I’ll definitely be back!

My dad retired from the US Post office and so my brothers and I took him here to celebrate. My dad is low key. He is a roughneck. He was born in the Philippines and cans to the US and landed in Oakland, California. He joined the military after high school and then worked at the US post office as an electrician mechanic. So this spot was perfect for him… and me. My dad likes Coors and Bud-light, both of which this place doesn’t serve. Which is perfectly ok with me! Because I’ve been trying to get my dad to step out his comfort zone and try new things. Carrying the theme of the 4th bore tunnel in the Caldecott Tunnel, this place is great place to come after a hard days work or years of hard work. They had many types of beers including a few stouts, which are my favorite. And they also had a few selections for my dad– equivalent to his Coors! My brothers were also able to find something they liked. The food was great. I would have given this 5 stars but it’s still shy when compared Portland, Oregon pub status. The pub food in Oregon, is simply amazing. Rich in taste and the service is great. The food comes hot(melted cheese) and all at the same time. Here the food came out at different times. And some of the cheese already hardened. But still delicious! I highly recommend the signature burger the 4th Bore. It was served with a sunny side up egg and sliced cucumbers. I recommend sticking to the chips instead of paying more to upgrade to the French fries. The service was excellent! Our waiter ‘G’ was real cool. He checked on us all through our stay, and anticipated our needs. I read a few of the previous reviews and a few Unilocalers warned about the service. But I think the service was better than average and I think it will get better as this restaurant establishes itself! I highly recommend this place if you like beer and a foodie. There is plenty of seating including a big fire pit outside. I will be back to sample a few more beers and upgrade my review to 5 stars!

After a walk around the Lafayette Reservoir, we decided to go here for beer and lunch. We arrived just before noon on a Saturday and were the only people in the lounge. We bellied up to the bar and were greeted right away. Service was great throughout our visit. We perused the menu and picked out some beer from their nice selection.(It seems like they’ve got something for everyone.) We also ordered the fried cheese curds, to enjoy while we decided on our main dishes. The cheese curds are quite good. Perhaps a bit pricy at $ 9, although that’s how I felt about most of the food. They were surprisingly not greasy, with a nice light and crispy batter. The marinara was the perfect sauce for dipping. For our main dishes, I ordered the blacked salmon caesar salad and my honey went for the buffalo chicken salad. I thought my salad was tasty, nothing particularly memorable about it. One strange thing is that my honey asked for a short pour of a beer and the bartender told us that their system only allows them to charge for a regular size beer or the 10 oz, except the 10 oz is the same price, it is usually just a stronger beer. We ended up splitting the regular size beer because paying the same for less beer seems silly. It also seems silly to me that they can’t charge for a half pint… I’m sure we’ll back to enjoy the nice beer selection, especially tacked on to a trip to the reservoir. The patio will be nice when the weather agrees. You can park in the garage for up to 3 hours free(with validation) Monday through Friday and weekends are free.

This is a great new spot. Orinda has never had anything like this. Basically this is the best new pub in lamorinda. I’m trying to think now– yeah– it’s the best pub in lamorinda period. Note!!! BLOODYMARYALERT My friend and I search the Bay Area and beyond for good bloody Mary’s. If you can get in here when NATASHA is working, she can make you Bloody Mary that I would enter in ANY Bloody Mary competition. Maybe the best Bloody Mary EVER, but let’s not overhype it. But seriously– maybe best ever.

Orinda needed a tap room rather than another mediocre Mexican place, which is what it replaced, thank you! Nice draft selection. BUT… the beer I ordered had run out yet it still appeared on the chalk board. Hello! Isn’t the point of the chalk board that it’s easily changed with the swipe of a cloth as taps come and go? Also, the staff’s a bit green. Our server introduced himself by saying that he was a beer expert, yet when we asked him to compare the various IPAs on the menu, he said he didn’t know much about IPAs. We were looking to chat over a beer on a Monday night. With the loud musak, not much of a chance of that happening here, either inside or outside around the fire. This place is still in beta. We’ll try again and check out the food menu next time.

On my way walking to Orinda bart I found this amazing tap room! Me and my wife were heading to the city for some dreaded Christmas shopping and definitely needed a few drinks and food before hand. I had a few local brews and she had a rose and finished with a great cab as we started with the cheese curds first, followed up by two mixed green salads and shared i good size rib eye… i had to ask about the rib eye which i found out was dry rubbed and grilled over a wood fire, really in Orinda? DELICIOUS!Great place, nice staff, good beer and food… Christmas shopping was a breeze!

Wow, what a fantastic treat. We were on our way home from Oakland and decided to try out this new place. Delicious gourmet cheese curds with marinara and tasty buffalo chicken salad(very fresh). My fiancé had a delicious lobster slider with chowder, both of which were absolutely spectacular. Top notch ingredients, and laid back service. Hoping to come back to try the lobster mac and cheese next time! Only downside is that the restrooms are located outside the restaurant, which isn’t very convenient.

Expensive: $ 16.00 for house Cabernet $ 35.00 for an okay ribeye! Since it’s new, it was very crowded and difficult to find seats to watch the Warriors game. I was with friends when the check arrived. Everyone I was with makes a very good living, but all were shocked at the $ 16.00 price tag for house Cabernet! Everyone exclaimed that they won’t be going back! For an advertised sports bar, albeit located in affluent Orinda, their prices are exorbitant!

This was good. Pork nachos remind you of a summer BBQ with its mix of pulled pork and beans. Lobster Mac was yummy and my hubby had the burger that was a large portion size. Overall solid service and good environment. I will try again.

Best ribs in the East Bay. Very lean, fall off the bone juicy and lathered in delicious BBQ sauce. Beer selection rivals the largest brew pubs, but this place has a more personal feel and attitude. With so many to choose from, I recommend their beer sampler. $ 6 gets you(3) 4oz glasses with expertise to help you choose. I expected slow service since they just opened, but I experienced the opposite. It’s obvious it’s not the owner’s and crew’s first rodeo.

I liked this place a lot. Good beer selection. I liked the 3 taster for 6 dollars, good deal. Food is pretty good, we didn’t get anything too fancy though. Waiter was nice and friendly, Andy maybe?
