I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this Bocce Ball Haven yet! We have been here a handful of times over the last few years. I do love that they have so many bocce ball courts. I think it is about 10 or 12 total. Lots of games to be played on a Saturday night. We had lucky court 7. Once the teacher gave us a run down on the rules we were off and bowling! It was great fun! We also had some yummy apps like calamari, artichoke dip(our fav bc of the creaminess), and a plate of meats n cheeses. All the foods were delish! We could not order from the dinner menu which was understood. We had drinks too; from draft brews, to blue margaritas, to glasses of wine. The wine was $ 10(minimum) a glass. Yikes! And the waitress we had kicked us off our court promptly after 90 minutes in the middle of game two. Apparently there was a big party coming with 30 minutes. Wish she just let us play another 15 minutes or so. Knocked off a star for that.

Food was great. Restaurant was active and good for groups, not for quiet dates. Also, some of the menu items were not available when we tried to order.

I went there with a group of people on a Sunday evening. The place was dead. For a little while, there were people using the court next to us, but there weren’t very many people in the whole place. The server who took care of us at the courts was very good. She came over each time more people joined the group & got their drink orders, and when everyone had arrived, she explained to us how to play bocce. I’m not sure we did it exactly right, but we had a good time. The drinks seemed overpriced, however; my sister’s glass of wine was $ 9, and my sangria was $ 8…although, I will say, it was a big glass of sangria. We then moved on to dinner at the restaurant, which seemed to be empty. We lost the server we had at the bocce courts and got a male server who thought he was a funny comedian. He wasn’t. I ordered the chicken piccata. It came with a choice of soup or salad and wonderful, warm bread. They didn’t seem to have any choices of salad dressing, but the house dressing was good. There were several pieces of boneless, skinless chicken breast(I know that’s the current thing, but there’s really no character to a naked piece of chicken) in the lemony sauce, with thin lemon rinds and capers. Alongside was a huge mound of mashed potatoes, broccoli and green beans. The chicken could’ve used a little bit of salt, and the broccoli was slightly overcooked, but it was good. And, it was plentiful; I got 2 full meals out of it! I do wish they’d used bigger boxes to pack up the leftovers, though; they just kind of stuffed everything into the little box all together, so I kind of had to dig everything out & separate it again; I’m not one of those people who can’t have my food touching, but I also don’t like a mound of potatoes with veggies & chicken coming out of it. All in all, it was a nice evening and great if you’re looking for something different to do.

I have been here several times for lunch and have never gone away unhappy. The décor is swanky, the dining room is clean, the food is excellent, and the service is friendly.

I enjoyed my cavattini with Italian sausage very much. Flavorful, generous-without-being-ridiculous portion, great service. I was very pleased.

Excited to try the antipasta salad here. Wrong. Cheap cuts of meat and the dressing was horrible. Like it never got mixed. Just a Valdez oil slick layered on top.

I came here today for the first time in a very long time. I remember coming here ages ago and having a ton of fun. Today was no different. When I walked in, the place was clean and as well decorated as I remember it. I forgot that they had a really cool fountian near the bar area which I loved. The staff here is really friendly and helpful. When I first arrived I sat at the bar and talked to the bartender for a few minutes and he gave me simple instructions on how to play bocce. After Shannon and Dan O arrived, we checked in and were shown to court two. If your eating courtside, they only serve limited appetizers for food. It’s basically two styles of pizza, and a few other dishes. I went with the Italian Meatballs and Shannon got the fried ravioli. Both were tasty and delicious! When we were ready to start a really nice instructor came over to tell us how to play. We all played and had a good time. I also enjoyed that our server was attentive and refilled our drinks constantly. She was wonderful and did a really good job. I also learned that if you want a full menu you have to dine in the dining area. I see why, but honestly I don’t know that I plan on coming here just to eat. I love how clean and well maintained the place is. That’s important to me. I will be back in the future!

The bocce ball experience is great! The courts are fun, you can eat dinner and then play or arrange for a buffet at the lanes. The staff are helpful and friendly. The food was bland and«meh.» I was disappointed with my Alfredo and the Caesar salad was not as good as something I can make at home. I never had an empty glass, staff were attentive and prompt. When they used to do their brunch, the food was amazing! It was fresh, flavorful and prepared perfectly. I wish they would bring that back!

Terrible food — see pic of calamari. Poor effort on service. Would come again and drink beer and play bocce — food — forget it, Cisco specials.

This is one of the best places to be able to hang out, have great drinks, great food, enjoy friends, and have a leisurely fun night playing bocce. We choose to have drinks, then sit down, but play for the 1.5 hours we got on the court. There are people to help you if you don’t understand the game, but since we did, we jumped right in. It is fun because you can have conversations, enjoy the company while playing and maybe have a cocktail or two. It’s so enjoyable! You can play then have a great sit down dinner with a very diversified menu or great munchies and drinks while you play. I had the veal piccata and my friend had the steak and shrimp. I wish my veal had not been breaded, but it was still really good. The vegetable side, which is usually sucky, was flavorful and unusual — a great change for the expected. We got the lemon cake dessert. Be forewarned… it’s HUGE and can feed three people comfortably but it is worth the purchase… so clean and light tasting! All in all this is a great date place or family place… I always love going back!

I love this place. It is my go to for all special and not so special occasions. I’m Italian so I can really judge Italian food. I love the homemade pasta dishes, the desserts are unique and tasty, and the drinks are amazing. The staff is always friendly and make you feel like you’re a honored VIP.

Quite possibly the best bocce ball courts in Michigan. The service was great. Food was well seasoned and delicious. We celebrated my fathers 60th birthday here. One of the best restaurant held celebrations I’ve been to. Word to the wise… There is no cussing in English on the bocce ball courts. Says the posted sign. So brush up on your Italian! :)

Our server was amazing. Very friendly and personable. The pizza we ordered was delicious but on the the small side — we weren’t full after it. Bocce was fun but costly at $ 10/person. Wish it was a flat court fee instead. The $ 8 sangria will have us not returning… really put a damper on the mood when the bill came.

This place has it all — good food, atmosphere, service, Bocci Ball, and blue cheese stuffed olives for my martini! They had Shrimp & Grits tonight and my rule in South Carolina is that I must try the shrimp & grits at any new restaurant — so that is what I had and it did not disappoint! Most of the reviews concentrate on the Bocci Ball but this is a very good Italian Restaurant in it’s own right. I come up here about twice a year and this is my new favorite place — I’ll be back again and again.

Even though my lasagna was a tad on the warm side, it was very tasty for what it was. This is not a authentic highend Italian restaurant but it supplies a clean fun environment that I would feel confident in bringing out of owners to and showing a great time. My only complaint is the wine list and the prices. Although the food is very reasonable, the wine prices are borderline offensive for the quality of wine offered in conjunction with the prices. Please address this issue.

I love this place! I’ve been here about 5 times and always have a good time. You can come for just the bocce, or make a whole dinner and evening out of it as they have a full bar and kitchen. The place is huge, with a bunch of courts, and they have someone refresh or teach you the game before you start. Then they leave you alone to do your thing. Everyone I’ve encountered has been extremely friendly and personable. Including the waitstaff. The menu is big, with plenty of delicious choices, and the ingredients are very fresh and tasty. Although I live over an hour away, I have brought people here for something unique and fun to do in the metro area.

Oh how I wish this gem were closer to my house! We joined a group of friends this past Saturday for and hour and ½ court reservation and dinner. When the four of us arrived, we were greeted by the friendly hostess, who steered us to the bar while the remainder of our 10 person party assembled. Drink prices were reasonable: they ranged from 5 — 8 dollars for craft pints, wine, and well drinks. As soon as we were all assembled, we were escorted to our court, where a knowledgeable staff member explained the rules to us in a pithy, understandable style. For the next hour and ½, the 10 of us battled it out in newbie style; our enthusiasm far outpacing our skill(red won!). Dinner following the bocce was excellent. The average entrée price was well under $ 20.00. With drinks and a $ 10.00 court fee, most of us paid under $ 50/person including tip. What a fun time!

The Bocce was fun, although we were a little shaky on the rules. But the food, for an Italian place that should have been authentic, or at least I expected it to be, was just so-so. It was mostly pastas and the kind that are easy to crank out. The red sauce was very commercial. Go for the Bocce.

I have early memories of playing Bocce with my Great Uncle down by the Jersey Shore. So it’s a game I’m familiar with and I think it’s awesome to combine italian food and the game of bocce! The food and service were both great. Everything I tried(of my own and my family’s plates) was delicious. I personally got the white fish with mashed potatoes and a lemon cream sauce. The sauce was absolutely amazing. Totally made the dish. My brother got the Spinach Agnolotti which I also highly recommend especially if you like your food spicy! I will say as a family when we go out we never get dessert except for maybe like once a year. We tried all sorts of desserts here. The tiramisu was spot on. The cannoli were good but the shell was a little too hard. Overall my family really enjoyed this restaurant. It’s fun and something you don’t find everywhere.
