I have an office in the area and was Unilocaling find something new for dinner. I came across Burger 21. It has only been open a few days. My best bud aka husband agreed to go. It was packed. It was bright and lively. You order at counter and the server brings the food to your table. We ordered burgers, fries with ale sauce and shakes. I highly recommend getting a dipping sauce for the fries. We did think for a burger place the burgers would have been bigger, but they are a good size. I also prefer fresh cut fries but not having them was not a deal breaker. Everything was good. I would go there again.

Great thick-burger but a bit salty. Clean restaurant with ok service but nothing saying the best out there. A couple owner types in the corner that seemed more interested in numbers than customer satisfaction. I was actually encouraged to lift my feet at my booth so they could mop while I was beginning the«enjoying» part of my burger lunch. It wasn’t exactly a warm and fuzzy welcome. I would definitely go back but other burger places seem to execute better in the service expectation.

Ordered 3 burgers to go. Took a bite and the burgers were all rare. When we took them back, the manager was very defensive and said we make our burgers medium well and we always tell our customers that. How about an apology instead of being defensive? Nobody told us how they make their burgers when we ordered and the burgers were far from medium well… with the first bite we saw bright red ground beef. We were able to get our money back and get lunch somewhere else. It’s a shame because the milkshakes looked good, but I don’t think we’ll be going back there anytime soon.

Finally we’re trying out the new burger place! The Interior is clean, they have booths and tables. Help yourself fountain drink station, a sauce bar and a hand washing sink ! My bf wanted Cheesy burger and onion rings but they don’t have onion rings so they offer onion strings. I got the cheesy burger with fried egg on top. They asked you how would you like your burger cooked from medium to welldone And they also asked what condiments you want in it(ketchup, mayo, mustard) I got 2 kids chicken tenders with sweet potato fries and grapes for my kids. I also got a crème brûlée shake. It kinda tastes like a cake batter shake(rating 3⁄5) Both of our burgers were good but not the best, and we were disappointed because both our burger patties and ingredients fell off the bun because their bun is too small, lol so the last 2 – 3 bites were bun less. (Rating 3.5÷5) Their chicken tenders are really good ! Crispy breading and juicy chicken.(Rating 4⁄5) Sweet potato fries are more like overly salted sweet potato strings.(Rating 2.5÷5) Service was good, friendly and attentive.(Rating 4⁄5) Overall it was okay, we weren’t impressed.

Much to do about nothing, these reviews … the hamburgers are rather bla… and actually somewhat greasy, small and should I say slightly overpriced. got the tex mex, my wife the cinco?.. service is very good and personal very attentive. just the hamburgers not that great. My vote for number one hamburger in OP is so far red robin, we have been very lucky, some friends complained about bad service, we always have had good service. on the same note, I will never ever return to the ugliest, greasiest and tasteless hamburger of culvert’s.

I came here on a busy Saturday night and ordered a «Cheesy Bacon burger» plain and regular fry to go. While I waited I noticed the place has a very friendly and welcoming interior. The burger arrived after about 8 – 10 minutes; it still had all the toppings except for the condiments. They had no problem removing them and did so swiftly. The burger was quite greasy and cooked medium well. The bun was toasted and the bacon was cooked nicely. Overall the burger was good but not nearly worth my 7.99 $.

This is a mixed review, biggest thing doneness of burger, orders medium well, came out medium close to rare, son order well done came out medium well or some pink. Must have cooking down or they will not make it. If wife got any pink she would never be back. After that said, all the different combinations and sauces shakes, banana foster fantastic it t was also good. So fix the cooking or will have to eat five guys or smashburger.,

I ordered the cheesy bacon burger with a fried egg. The flavor was good and the presentation was spot on. The beef said it was 1⁄3rd lb burger, but it was smaller than the bun. Seriously, where’s the beef! The fried egg is organic which is nice, but was completely fried. No yolk spilling down the burger was a disappointment. I am one that cuts a burger in half, but this was difficult to do as the burgers are placed in a metal crate, with the holes it didn’t cut easily. They also had different sauces you can choose from and some surprising favors like a marshmallow sauce. The atmosphere was modern and clean. Love how there is a hand washing station right by the dining area, no need to use the bathroom! Also, one of the employees was complaining about how the place should be run on the dining room floor, please take it to an office, none of your customers should hear this! As we were leaving the manager asked how we liked it, I commented on the overly fried egg, he said we should’ve told the cashier! Well why didn’t the cashier tell me that they fry the egg to a crisp! It’ll be awhile before we go back.

Burgers very tasty and the presentation impressive. The burgers actually looks like the pictures! Shakes are good and have very unique flavors. Also had the Turkey chili which was tasty. Much better than 5 Guys and about the same as M Burger. Stop in and you won’t be disappointed!

OMG– AWESOME! We came here earlier today for their friends and family open house and although it wasn’t right next door we’ll definitely be coming out here for the best tasting burgers, salads, chili, and shakes around! I had their Black and Bleu burger which was done perfectly for me! The flavor of the meat was overwhelming with flavor! Their chili was to die for served with a dollop of sour cream and shredded cheddar cheese. I love their bowls they came in as well! Their shakes were simply phenomenal! I tried their banana foster shake which I would have loved with a little actual alcohol(hint, hint Donna!!) served a special sugar coated piece of banana on the top– which was awesome! Everything seemed to go very smoothly on their open house day and their servers were very good and well mannered! We’ll definitely be coming back here again! I would expect this type of food at a nice sit down restaurant! Flavor explosion all around! You gotta come check out this new Burger 21 I believe it is the first in Illinois and I betcha they’ll be all over soon! Hmmmm?!

I can’t wait for Burger 21 to officially open! Last night I attended their sneak peek VIP event, and everything was great! The décor is trendy and modern, and the staff was very nice and accommodating. I ordered the Tex Mex Haystack burger, split the 1-lb Cheese & Ale Fry basket with my friend and enjoyed a Bananas Foster shake. The Tex Mex Haystack burger($ 8) had guacamole, onion strings, chipotle jalepeño sauce, lettuce, tomato, bacon and Gouda cheese and was cooked perfectly. Their burgers literally melt in your mouth. Fries are purchased on the side. I opted for the Cheese & Ale fry basket which is 1 lb of fries, with a large cup of cheese & ale sauce with bacon and scallions. The fries were pretty good but the sauce was a little difficult to eat as t was hard to scoop up the bacon/scallions. Next time I will probably just opt for a regular fry. The Bananas Foster shake was AMAZING! This might be my new go-to place for dessert. It even had a warm caramelized banana on top. Mmmm! My only concern is that for a fast casual restaurant(similar to Panera where you order at the counter, sit down and then a runner brings you your meal) the prices are a little steep as entrees are purchased separate from the sides.(My meal was around $ 15) But I promise you it is so worth it!
