Decent place. Wish the tvs were bigger, but hey, there are 4 of em. A nice and mellow mature crowd. Being the old man, its nice to have a place to have a pint without the drama. The buffalo shrimp were pretty tasty.

Absolutely great experience. Family friendly, great service, comfortable environment, amazing fish fry, and my husband says that the white pizza may be one of his favorite pizzas ever.

The pizza is just ok … The marinara sauce is nothing special … There everyday soup is spicy and also just ok… For take out a few blocks down from home its fine but to say it’s wonderful … Than I would just be lying.

Very chill. It was ugly Christmas sweater night yet no one was wearing an ugly sweater; they were too busy laughing and socializing to be bothered by ugly sweaters.
There’s a plethora of seating at this place. Plenty of bar seating, plenty of table seating. We opted for the round table in the corner under the tv. There’s plant of room in this place for large parties; it use to be a grocery store.
Nice people. Guy brought out a pitcher of water. I don’t drink so I was drinking water all night. Bartender was nice enough to bring out a pitcher of water unasked; can’t get that kind of service at restaurants sometimes. I think they have Green Line on tap which is a good beer.
I like the history of OP poster near the bathroom. Framed poster showed the history of OP; the rec center, the library, a railroad station.
Private pooper. The bathroom was a clean single use. Nice, I need my room.

Mackey’s Pub delivers great food in a clean, family friendly atmosphere. Most of their menu is made to order making for some flavorful dishes, including: Patrick’s Tilapia, fried chicken, and burgers. Carry-​out is available and their pizza is worth checking out (especially their large white pizza on Saturdays for $ 10). Kudos to the awesome Mackey family and attentive staff.

We tried Mackey’s on Good Friday and we were very pleasantly surprised by the comfortable surroundings, reasonable prices, and attentive service. I ordered the whitefish special, which was fried to crispy perfection. The clientele is defintely on the older side as I felt like one of the youngest in the place despite being a tad shy of 60. We will definitely return.

Walked in around 11pm on a recent Saturday night. Place seemed to be winding down, and the crowd appeared mostly older and local. A typical sports bar parked in a strip mall, nothing special. No late night menu ‚(so we didn’t stick around. Probably wouldn’t have stayed long anyway regardless of whatever domestic drink specials they had… the place smelled like piss. We went Maverick that night, and flew out just as fast. PASS!

IT’s clean, not obnoxiously loud and not a meat market. I meet friends and family there. All around decent place!

Extremely clean, charming and friendly place. Not overly loud even with multiple games going. Lake perch and patty melts for lunch were absolutely delicious. Bartender was a lovely woman, as were some of the old-​timers and regulars there as a lunch bunch. Perfect for a bite while out shopping at the mall. I must have driven by this place 50 times in the past five years. What a gem!
