This place is appealing in that it offers a wide variety of finger sandwiches. Most of the little sandwiches they make are are really tasty, and the best part is that it is very inexpensive! However, don’t expect to get anything in a timely manner, whether its ordering or receiving your food. This place always seems to be understaffed, so if you don’t mind waiting, i’d definitely give it a shot. However, if you don’t have a lot of time, look elsewhere.

Want a sandwich, but can’t decide which one to get because 5 of them look good? At Cien Montaditos you can get all 5 for cheap! This little sandwich place(pun intended, the sandwiches are little) has 100 sandwiches, prices vary but its inexpensive. They offer everything from chicken, turkey, meatball, mozzarella & tomato, pesto, roast beef, sausage and etc. The bread is like a sub roll got hit with a shrink ray. They are tiny and delicious. I can’t suggest this place enough, those looking for sandwiches won’t be disappointed.

A friend wanted to try this place out after seeing it on the food channel. I had Unilocaled it weeks ago, but forget the details of what to expect. Food: I knew it was tapas style, but forgot that they were mostly small sandwiches. He got the meat lovers platter, and cheese fries and enjoyed it. I got the Mediterranean platter. We both are minimizing our carbs, so I was not happy at all of all the bread. The platter was about $ 7 – 9 dollars for about 6 small sandwiches. When I say small, I mean …3 big bites and it’s done. The bread was nice — soft and chewy on the inside and a little hard on the outside. The platter I had came with smoked salmon and tuna. They were bite sized and tasty, but nothing to drive the distance — nor do the happy dance. If invited, I would return. His platter had pulled pork, I think a meatball, and cant remember the other one –enjoy trying to read and understand the menu ! :) Both platters came with a hand full of potato chips. I am not sure how Spanish that was supposed to be but whatever. Vibe: They had a couple tvs playing college football. Pretty good music was playing, I dance a little in my seat — not too much as I didn’t want to embarrass my quiet companion. Nicely decorated, new and clean little spot. Nice bathroom. :) Customer service: The guy that took our order needed help in the personality and customer service department. I just read some of the reviews by other Unilocalers– and we did not get the same service. Asking information was like pulling teeth. At least my friend knew they were sandwiches because the counter help struggled even with that basic question. There were a couple of guys that came in hanging with the workers at the counter. They stayed the entire time we ate. The did not order food, just stood there running their mouth and clowning… not professional. Especially since the guy working the counter showed his friends more emotion than he showed us. Maybe I am just jealous. Ha —not. Oh, yeah — I had the calamari. Obviously prepackaged, but with the one juicy lemon wedge and the white sauce it came with — I was able to hook it up. If you are in the are(Waterford Lakes) and want a chill, casual place — then check it out. On Wednesdays, they no longer have the $ 1 specials — but they do have $ 5 deals and 2 for 1 platters on Sunday.

Very interesting place. Good for snacking after a movie as we did. The staff was very nice and informative in explaining the slightly complicated menus. The classic sangria was really good.

I was brought to 100 Montaditos when it was explained to me that they had«lots of tiny sandwiches,» without truly understanding the concept in general. I’m a fairly easy person to intrigue. First off, this particular location is kind of buried within one of those gigantic Sim City commercial zones that have become the go-to business model all across America; 2 – 3 major outlet stores usually involving a Target, the predominant grocery chain, and either an Old Navy, Victoria’s Secret, or a Gap or equivalent, and anchored by a movie theater. Yeah, you know the type of shopping center I’m talking about. 100 Montaditos is buried towards the back end of this particular shopping center, which makes getting there somewhat cumbersome, as you have to crawl through the parking lot gauntlet of people not paying attention to where they back out, the pedestrians who believe they’re gods that walk amongst us, and the parking lot creepers that have to get the best possible parking space no matter what. Entering the restaurant, it is a clean, fairly bright establishment, erring on modern décor, and naturally with the requisite televisions on the wall that at the day of my visit, were broadcasting college football. So the basic modus operandi of 100 Montaditos is that they allegedly have 100 different«sandwiches,» which are literally 2 – 3 bite-sized sandwiches, that cost anywhere from like $ 2 – 5 a pop. This is good in the fact that your spending is only as big as your appetite, but potentially bad, because 13 things will sound good, and you just might try to think you can eat all 13 things, and spend like $ 35 doing so. Order at the counter, they bring it to you. Fairly simple, and eliminates much interaction with those who work there. Either way, I ordered four sandwiches ranging from shrimp, chorizo, pork cutlets to pulled pork. The time it took for them to arrive wasn’t bad; given the fact that they have to kind of produce upon order, lest they have a kitchen full of like 25 different proteins in varying states of cooked might be pretty obvious that they’re taking shortcuts. Long story short, it was a unique experience. Some of the sandwiches were clearly stronger than the others, and if I had to pick, the fried shrimp one was good, as well as the barbecue. The chorizo was a little thin and lacking, and the pork cutlet was underwhelming. But I liked the experience of being able to pick and choose so specifically, and there are clearly lots of other things that sounded good that might be worth a whirl in a future visit. Overall, it’s a fairly convenient location(excluding parking lot warfare), it’s a clean establishment, and the cost is fair at your own discretion. The product is unique and fairly unique as far as my experiences go; some were clearly better than others, but when the day is over, I’d come back to explore the menu in further detail.

I looked up the place after hearing about the chain on the food network and in a food magazine, so maybe I set the bar too high from the start. I took a group from work, about 8 of us, and made the 30 minute drive up to Waterford Lakes. A different, somewhat unique experience, but definitely not worth the drive. Sandwiches range from $ 1-$ 3 and they push you to get 5, but for a regular person, 3 – 4 is probably enough, especially if you spring for one of the sides(i.e. fries…). The $ 1 sandwiches are what I should have expected for $ 1, just meat on bread, or a few have the luxury of cheese. I sampled a range of price pointed options and as expected, the $ 3 ones paid off the best. At that price point, you even get their freshly baked bread… which begs the question what the rest of the stuff is(?). Come on, even subway does fresh bread. My biggest complaint, though, was the service. Granted, we were a group of 8, but that shouldn’t put a SANDWICH shop in the weeds at lunch. There was 1 person staffed the counter and there had to be only one guy in the back making the sandwiches. Drinks were frustratingly behind the counter, remember 1 guy, and were served in a random assortment of glassware. Kudos for being green, but I felt like I invited too many friends back to my dorm room and we had to get creative with service ware. Luckily though, my reputation with coworkers was saved and the trip became worth the drive with Sweet! cupcakes by Holly around the corner!

DINERBEWARE: Pay close attention to the dates for the previous reviews. One year ago, or even six months ago, I would have given 100 Montaditos a 5-star review. But I am sad to say they have changed their menu, dramatically increased their prices, decreased the level of customer service, and — as far as I can see — have lost a lot of business. The FIRST time I visited 100 Montaditos, it was bustling on a Thursday night. Their tiny sandwiches ranged from $ 1 to $ 2 except for a few gourmet options which were in the $ 2.50 and $ 3 range. The sandwiches usually involved spanish ingredients(meats and cheeses) as well as really good sauces, so they weren’t dry. The sangira was delightful. Good calimari, excellent sauces, and wonderful fried potato wedges. Although the restaurant was a «work-a-rant» meaning you order at the counter and bus your own table, the wait staff was polite and professional, and very eager to please. They had a customer, and I went back as often as I was in the area. HOWEVER, my most recent trip was a disaster, and I will not be returning again. First, I looked up their menu online to pick my sandwiches before I got there. I noticed that their online menu no longer had prices, and had been re-arranged. I also noticed that their very spain-inspired sandwich line-up had been replaced by some very American sandwiches. Hint: I live in America, I can get a good cheeseburger anywhere. I can’t get Iberian ham at McDonalds. Stick to what you’re good at, right? I arrived at the dining establishment, which is in a VERY busy shopping plaza with a packed movie theater next door — it was a Saturday night — I noticed that the restaurant was pretty much vacant. Although their online menu didn’t have prices, I assumed that my order would come to under $ 10 as usual. When the cashier told me my total was over $ 16 for 3 tiny sandwiches, an order of potato wedges, and a sangria, I almost fell over. I cancelled the order, stepped back, and re-evaluated the menu, quickly noticing that most of these VERYTINY sandwiches were now in the $ 2.50-$ 3 range. I’m sorry, but when Subway is selling $ 5 footlongs, I don’t need to pay $ 3 for a tiny sub. I returned to the counter with a list of cheaper sandwiches(which were still incredibly expensive) and I skipped the sangria. 100 Montaditos is a work-a-rant, but I’ve never had such poor service. The staff all seemed very unhappy to be working on a Saturday night. No smiles, all their phones were out, and they were for the most part ignoring the few customers as much as possible. The kitchen was very slow. I realize they prepare each sandwich to order, but I also know how fast Subway and Quiznos can prepare a sandwich, so I don’t understand why it took 30 minutes for 2 of my 3 sandwiches to come out. I ordered a dessert sandwich, and they didn’t prepare that with the rest of my order even though I asked for it. When my food arrived, it was pretty terrible. The Bravas Potatoes did not come with bravas sauce. I had to spend several minutes trying to get an employee’s attention before they gave me sauce. The(cheaper) sandwiches had toppings like iberico ham and manchego cheese, but no sauce. They were drier than a desert. I ran through my cup of water trying to choke them down, and then had to, again, wait for several minutes to get the girl behind the counter to refill my water cup. The bravas potatoes were cold and bland, and there was a puddle of grease in the bottom of the can they were served in. After finishing my meal, I(for the 3rd time) had to flag down the girl at the counter and inquire about my missing dessert sandwich. She started yelling through the service window at the kitchen staff that they’d forgotten to make it. She said it would be out in a minute. I returned to my uncomfortable stool to wait. After about 10 minutes, I went back up to the counter. My sandwich was sitting in the service window, along with a bunch of other food for another table of customers. The girl who was running the counter was off in the corner flirting with another member of the staff. I had to get her attention(for the 4th time). I was so frustrated that I took my sandwich to go because I didn’t want to spend another minute in that sad little sandwich shop. As a side note, while eating my «dinner,» two other groups of people came in. They looked like regulars and placed their orders quickly. The first group was so shocked by the price that they cancelled their order and left. The second group also voiced concern about the high price of their order, but they paid it and sat unhappily at a table waiting and waiting for their order(which was sitting in the service window, being ignored). Ultimately, 100 Montaditos USED to be an excellent restaurant, but menu changes, price inflation, and a terrible wait staff appear to have severely hurt their business. I know I will not be returning. My only hope is that this franchise will realize these issues and correct them.

I was walking by here and decided I would stop in for some dinner. I did not really know what to expect. The name and outside appearance does not really give any hints at what the restaurant is. When I got inside the girl behind the counter asked me if I had eaten there before. I said no and she explained the whole tiny sandwich thing to me. My guest and I ordered 3 sandwiches each. We both really liked them. We also got the dessert combo thing that had 1 of each dessert sandwich. We were less impressed by the desserts. They seemed a bit bland. The oreo and nutella sandwich was good as was the nutella and almonds sandwich. But the others were just so so. I would definitely go back in the future.

I like this place a lot. Each of the sandwiches are SMALL — about 3″ long. They have 100 varieties with different combinations of ingredients. I usually order about 4 of them and it makes for a pretty filling meal. My favorites — 1. The Tortilla(Spanish omelet) 2. The Jamon Serrano with Manchego cheese 3. The Smoked Salmon with cream cheese and arugula. I’d also recommend an ice cold Estrella, which they have on draft. The Olive appetizer is also a nice touch.

I am told that this is a restaurant chain from Spain. As fas as I could tell the«montaditos» are authentic. A montadisto is a small sandwich, think a little larger than finger foods. The menu has over 100 montaditos on the menus, some are a $ 1 some are $ 2 and other items are more. I had a «meat lovers» platter for $ 6.00 and a sangria for less than ten dollars. I will definitely go back again to try some other«montaditos.»

Wow, this place has taken a turn for the worst. When it opened, the food and the presentation was just like I remember it in Madrid. Now, the overall quality of the Serrano Ham and the bread are low quality. The bread used to be what made this place original but the montaditos I had today were forgettable. The Tortilla Espanola was as bland as could be and it tasted more like just an omelette. In the beginning, they used to bake their own potato chips and recently I noticed one of the cooks dumping chips on a plate from a Lay’s bag. When you ordered a dozen montaditos, they use to come in a 100 Montaditos box that was very presentable but now you get your basic Styrofoam container, no different than a Chinese take out. I don’t see this place lasting much longer if they keep cutting on quality. Perhaps for college kids it will do, but for those that were spoiled and attracted in the beginning, they will lose those customers and I am one of them.

In a rare case of an international«fast food» franchise branching out to the US(rather than vice versa), 100 Montaditos, based out of Spain, has arrived to bring their Spanish style tapas sandwiches(known as montaditos) to Central Florida. Located in Waterford Lakes, the«100 Montaditos» name refers to the 100 varieties of montaditos offered here. Montaditos are the Spanish tapas style finger mini sandwiches on your choice of bread(chapata(ciabatta), whole wheat, house special, or chocolate bread) with toppings such as chorizo sausage, serrano ham, manchego cheese, bbq pork, and more. Appetizer choices include patatas bravas(potatoes in a spicy red sauce), olives, and crispy, crunchy french fries with four dipping sauces(ketchup, salsa brava and ali oli) and five varieties of salads. The beer of choice is the imported Spanish Mahou beer(which reminds me a little of light Stella Artois), and other drinks include sangria as well as red and white wines. On Wednesdays, everything on the menu is $ 1 from sandwiches to apps and drinks. It’s a great value for the budget minded college crowd nearby at UCF, as well as the local high school students — and maybe that’s why there is such a huge line out the door there Wednesdays. Everyone loves a good deal — if you don’t mind the lines. The sandwiches overall are quite nice, especially for a quick little bite before heading over to a movie at the nearby Waterford Regal. The ingredients are nice, but I think the bread could be better. It is a good value for the price though and worth a try if you are in the area.

Little sandwiches! Located in Waterford Lakes, in the food court section a few doors down from the Old Navy. We popped in here with friends to enjoy their $ 1 sammies special on a Wednesday. What a deal! We enjoyed each of the tasty sandwiches we ordered and for $ 1 you could try a bunch. Tons of veggie(no meat, but cheese) options, which was nice. Super fun– dessert sandwiches made on chocolate bread. Yep, chocolate bread. The one with the ice cream nuggets was delish, but eat that sandwich quick. Sangria was good, esp when mixed with their HH red wine. If you decide to show up on a Wednesday, be prepared for mayhem. It was very crowded, which would be fine… but it was about 100 degrees from the setting sun warming up the place and the door opening continuously. With the vaulted ceilings, the blinding sun like a magnifying glass and the extra bodies pouring through the doors… it was all too much for the AC to keep up. I’d suggest some blinds, at the very least. Seriously.

Walking through Waterford, we came across 100 Montaditos. I’ve never seen it before because I hadn’t been to Waterford lately, but looking through the glass windows, the décor looked very cute with picture frames everywhere on the walls. I stopped in to check it out. The food are Spanish influenced, and they are small sandwiches ranging from $ 1 to $ 2.50. They also have combos/platters where you can get 8 small sandwiches for about $ 14, which I ended up getting. The small sandwiches had good bread– which they claim to be freshly made. The meats were of chicken, ground beef, and pulled pork. Service wasn’t that great. The girl that was working the counter looked like she hated her job. When ordering, she asked my boyfriend, «whatya want?» in a rude tone of voice. After ordering, we sat ourselves down and she was leaning against the counter which I can picture her saying, «OMG this sucks I hate working here» in her head. We waited for a couple minutes and they announce your name over an intercom and then you come up to pick it up. After eating the sandwiches, I wasn’t very impressed… they tasted very… meh. However, the sangria was not too shabby. Don’t think I’ll go here again unless there are no other options around. Which there are.

The reviews I read had me worried about going on a Wednesday when there are the $ 1 sandwiches. Maybe in my head I was expecting a stampede of sandwich lovers all vying for the $ 1 treats! But it was not so. Timed it perfectly with a short line and when I did see the line getting long, it wasn’t that bad. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice and casual. Good amount of seating inside and also some outside. The sandwiches were really good. I had 5. Which ones … i really don’t remember, but they were all really good. Well prepared and good. My only complaint is that the ratio of filling to bread is quite low. I am sure they could do with some more filling, however, I am sure that would raise the price. However, the bread is really good, but I really don’t want to fill up on bread. So with that said, I don’t know if I would go during any other day other than a Wednesday. Paying more than $ 1 for that size sandwich … hmmm, that is a tough one. But honestly, really good sandwiches … so I hope to find myself in the area on a wednesday!!!

So much hype over this Spanish Fast Food Chain that seems to be popping up all over the place. I finally tried their famous $ 1 everything Wednesday and I’m sure glad everything was $ 1. I had a 83 calamari sandwich, a 98 philly steak sandwich, and a 97 which was beef pastrami with guacamole crispy onions and cream cheese. All three sandwiches had very little meat in it and there is just too much bread… I realize they are only $ 1 each, but it’s basically eating plain bread with hints of other items inside. I would definitely not pay full price for this. I also tried their potatoes bravas and a cookies and cream sandwich served on their chocolate bread. The dessert sandwich and the potatoes were my favorite items. The chocolate bread is pretty tasty and the cookies and cream filling with the whipped cream on the side was actually pretty good. If you need a good carb boost, come to 100 Montaditos, they have you covered there. If you’re looking for a more satisfying meal with meat, go anywhere else.

Wed — dollar for mostly everything! — thats as good as it gets… The sandwiches are not really thought out for the flavor profile they are trying to achieve. A sandwich seems like would be easy by just putting every in a tiny sub but only if it tasted good. If the sandwich is that small, you really got little room to make a mistaken consider you have one bite to make it count. For example, I got a calamari type sandwich but the calamari was not crispy, but rather soggy and chewy. I have to say, I did not finish most of my sandwiches. Besides the $ 1 Wednesday deal, the wedges/fries were good, seasoned well. Unexpectedly, their dessert(ice cream sandwiches– literally ice cream in a chocolate sub flavor roll) was good.

OK, So I have been here twice, and don’t really know what I have eaten. The first time we ordered one of the sample platters with several different sandwiches, and the second time I came on $ 1 Wednesday. I have to say that dollar Wednesday is a deal, but all the sandwiches taste eerily alike. From chicken to ham. The best tasting and only different sandwich was the Oreo dessert sandwich. So, should you come here? I would say you can’t go wrong for a buck on Wednesday, but keep in mind that it gets packed very early and will take forever if there is a line.

Wednesday $ 1 imported beer!!! AND delicious food; what’s not to love?! It’s not crap beer either; its good quality, delicious, and frosty. Every other day the price starts at $ 3 which is still a good deal in my opinion since Mahou is imported directly from Madrid, Spain. They also offer Sangria, and fountain drinks for that same price. A montadito is like a Spanish tapa. It’s not meant to be a huge meal to gorge yourself with. In Spain it’s eaten as a snack before dinner and meant to be paired with wine, beer, or whatever drink you’d prefer. The point is to get together with friends, family, acquaintances, have a glass of wine and unwind from a busy day. The great thing about this place is that whether you’re with a big group of people or by yourself, you can feel comfortable coming in and having a mug of Mahou paired with a couple montaditos. It’s called 100 montaditos because you really do have 100 different one’s to choose from. Varieties ranging from Chorizo, Serrano ham, Salmon, Calamari, and the list goes on. My personal favorite is : Serrano ham, pesto, mozzarella cheese, and tomato on ciabatta bread; absolutely delicious!(see pic) They use quality ingredients, anyone who is familiar with serrano ham or iberico products will tell you that. If you’re looking for a cheap sandwich made with processed meats; go to subway. If you want to savor a tasty treat that’ll leave you feeling as if you had just taken a trip to Spain; enjoy a tapa break at 100 Montaditos.

100 Montaditos popped up on my radar yesterday, after a Unilocal search on our way back from the airport looking for something to eat for dinner. I had no idea that something had replaced Barnie’s in Waterford Lakes until I saw this. Everything here is sold as a small sandwich. The menu items describe the contents of the sandwich, and each one comes in a small roll. The menu here is a bit daunting. We walked in, took an order slip, a pen, and a menu and started to pick things to order. How many things should we order? There’s no size reference on the menu so you don’t know if you should order 2 things or 20. No one else in the restaruant had received an order yet, so we had nothing to look at. Eventually though, as we continued to write things down, one customer’s order finally came out so we could get a look. Each sandwich on the menu is about the size of half a hot dog bun, give or take. But don’t expect the contents of the sandwich to be half of a hot dog worth of food, it generally is less than that. We ended up ordering 8 of these little sandwiches per person, and that was just about perfect for us(we were pretty hungry too, having not eaten since breakfast, so take that into account). Our opinions were consistent, each having had a pretty good sampling of sandwiches: — The BBQ pulled pork sandwiches we tried were pretty tasty but overall unremarkable. It was basically indistinguishable from one of those refrigerated«BBQ pork in a bucket» things at the grocery store, except that each one had a unique addition to it, like a strip of bacon or something. By the way, the bacon is not great, it’s kind of like what you’d get on a burger at McDonald’s — transparent, flimsy, nearly pointless. — The chicken ones were pretty boring — not«bad» necessarily, just boring. The two we tried were just plain chicken with a different type of sauce dribbled on the bun. — The roast beef sandwiches were as expected. a layer of roast beef cut super thin to the point of being translucent, and maybe a wedge of cheese and/or strip of McBacon, depending on the one you order. — The hamburger-based sandwiches were mediocre at best. The meat was unseasoned and plain. Whatever items were added to it didn’t really help. — Neither of us liked the ‘Mediterranean” bread options. I ordered one with eggplant and a number of other components and the contents were okay(also the most expensive) but the bread left a bad taste, so overall I didn’t care for it. — By far the worst sandwiches of the day were those that contained shrimp. Those were actually disgusting. Tiny, slimy, rubbery shrimp that no self-respecting restaurant should ever serve to a customer. Even though each one was only about two bites worth of food, I still had a hard time finishing them. So what did we pay for our 16 baby sandwiches and one fountain drink? $ 40. That’s right, $ 40. Maybe the sampler platters would have been a better deal — 12 of them for $ 15. But then you’re bound to get a few that you don’t even want because the sandwiches in the sampler are predetermined. I guess this chain is pretty popular in South Florida, there are several locations in Miami, one in Ft. Lauderdale, and one in Plantation. Apparently they’re also popular in some areas of Europe. I just don’t get it. Think about how much better you could do for $ 40. I’m disappointed because I like tapas-style restaurants. In fact, when we were ordering from the menu we were already planning our tentative return to try some of the other things. But by the time we were done and walking out the door, we no longer had any plans to come back.
