This place is amazing. Everything you need and want for your bike. Michael is a true genuine person and makes everyone feel the joy of owning a bike. A feel good bike shop.

I recently had the best bike buying experience here at Ace Metric Cycles. I had been to other local bike shops searching for a commuter bike as I had been a few years removed from cycling. Michael was great on both of my visits to his shop with my many questions. He’s a one man shop, so even though both times there were many other customers there he still took the time to make sure I was taken care of. I picked up my new bike last weekend and he went over the whole bike with me making minor adjustments as we went along and answering my many questions again. The level of customer service I received was top notch. I would highly recommend this shop to everyone looking for great service.

There are bike shops, and then there are bike shops where they care about what they sell, and the quality of what they sell. Michael at Ace Metric definitely cares about the quality of the products he carries and is extremely knowledgeable about all areas of cycling. I bought a bike from him via email that I was looking for and it went seamlessly. He also helped me pick out a great Brooks saddle for my fiancé’s bike. Whether you’re looking for a quality bike or just need to purchase parts, or need service I would highly recommend this shop!

I have edited my review to reflect my latest experience with them which has gone from a 4 star experience to a 5 star experience. They were able to do some repair and maintenance work on one of my brand new bikes that the original dealership had incorrectly assembled. Ace did a phenomenal job giving me the run down on what was right and what was wrong, so they reassured me that I had a quality bike and I can’t wait to go out on my next long bike ride.

Now, here is the good stuff. I have purchased a total of 3 «nice» bikes so far in my life, a couple of Specialized bikes from Orange Cycle and one Kona from Kyle’s Bike Shop. Ace Metric has worked on 2 of my 3 bikes so far and most likely in the future will be working on all 3 and any additional bikes I may purchase later down the road. The experience I found the first time I walked into their shop to have work done on my $ 600~ Specialized Hardrock Sport Disc 29er was to just have a tune up done on it. They called me about 1 – 2 days later and when I went to pickup that 2 year old bike, it felt amazing. It gave me a much nicer ride than I had ever had on that bike. It felt brand new, the tires seems to roll more effortlessly and everything felt super solid.
So, with that being said I value their opinions when it comes to repair or build work on bicycles. I absolutely plan on using them as a service shop from here on out when it comes to repairing or servicing my bicycles, and I would love to build a custom bike with them someday when I can budget out for it.
In a nutshell, if you can go in with the expectation that they are one of the highest quality bike shops in town, (and that they aren’t afraid to tell you about that) you will do just fine. Just know that they are a small business and they take their time to do quality work, however you will be paying for it, which in my opinion is fair.

Excellent customer service! Love this store and Michael really made me feel comfortable buying my first bike. Will be back for accessories for sure and recommending Ace Metric to all my friends.

I’ve had two bad experiences at this place and recommend you go elsewhere.
First experience, came in with a flat and the owner put a new tire on for me. Nice enough guy. I try to support local businesses and live right down the street. Put my bike in my truck and didn’t realize he had left it improperly seated until I was out of town. I had to ride with a lump in the tire for a week until I was able to take it to another shop.
Second experience, I was next door at stardust and thought I’d pop my head in and just ask which screw to mess with in order to tighten one of my brakes. The tech gives me a little more information than I was looking for and I was trying to leave. Said thanks and on my way out the owner says they need to value their time and charges me $ 10. The tech talked to me for 5 minutes tops, likely 3 or 4. I get it as a business owner that you need to value your employees time but I would have been happy with, «tighten that screw» as advice and I’m out the door.
My advice: Learn to differentiate between charging a customer for a lesson/​adjustment and offering a quick note of advice.
Oh, learn to replace a bike tire properly too.

So far I’m blown away by this shop. The cat running it is super helpful and chill+ he knows his stuff! I’m also stoked to know I can get parts for my
fixed gear bikes from an LBS not have to mail order what I want cause it’s usually in stock. A blessing in Orlando!

Still so excellent. The owner is helpful and truly cares about his craft. He also has excellent taste in music. Beyond that, he’s willing to take the time to get you on the right bike in a thoughtful way, considering what you need.
For a place that is all about quality and The Right Fit, his prices are totally reasonable.
Here’s something… not related to Ace Metric… what’s the deal with everyone’s obsession with bike seat comfort? Every time (I mean every time) someone at work or wherever asks me about bikes, the second or third statement is «I cant ride on one a dem little-​ass seats!» Is it really such an impediment?

Seriously impressed with this place’s quality of selection and service after visiting many other bike shops in the area. Michael only carries top quality stuff (and he knows his s – t) so he didn’t have a bike in my anticipated budget. If I do decide to increase my budget, this is where ill be coming for sure. If not, Ill be back here for servicing of my bike even though it is pretty out of the way for me compared to other shops.

I love the guys who work here. They’re all extremely hip, knowledgeable, and just generally sweet guys! They go above and beyond to help me every time I go in. I’ve bought several bikes from here, and they’ve all treated me wonderfully. I recommend this place to anyone!

A quality, knowledgeable bike shop in central Orlando. The owner of the bike shop, helped me pick out a bike pump and refilled my tires. It was obvious how passionate and informed he was on bikes. He told me what type of tires to buy next and helped me zip tie my new pump in my bike basket. I will be going back.

Im a big fan of Ace Metric. Super good prices and unique/​hard-​to-​find parts help them be above the competition here in the Orlando area. They’ve helped me a number of times with my Leader. The atmosphere of the shop and the new location is welcoming and comfortable.
Michael has the knowledge, skills, and inventory for whatever I need. I highly recommend Ace Metric.

Michael and his shop were really helpful when I was shopping for my first road bike. I was a bit overwhelmed with all the choices and brands, but they answered a lot questions to put me in the right direction. I trust these guys for all my maintenance work now and really appreciate the work they do to keep my bike in great shape.

Love the new New England shop, its gorgeous and the location is awesome. My recent build up project was an amazing experience from concept to finish, the new shop w/​wooden floors has such a nice layout and feel to it, that I want to just stay and hang out all day watching people come and go. If you are in the market for Fixed Gear/​Single Speed bikes/​parts/​maintenance, they are definitely worth checking out, and the owner will take time to talk everything out with you because he really cares.

These guys are SOO nice, and their bikes are AMAZING. He has fixed little things for me many times, and very reasonable. They are into it for the PASSION of endorsing cycling in Orlando, and they only carry best-​quality products, but also balancing with giving you good options for good VALUE as well.
You can’t but love them. They clearly, really care about what they do. And they have a great variety of interesting bikes that are fun, and well-​made, and hard to find elsewhere.
This is especially a great shop if you are into getting something like a modernized classic, or a hipster fixed-​gear style, or just something really cool and fun.

Ace Metric carries an assortment of new and used track/​road bikes, and a few mountain bikes and cruisers. Schwinn, Fuji, Linus, Peugeot and SE are some of the makes that are currently featured. They tend to specialize in fixed-​gear and single-​speed models, however they can special order a lot of items too so don’t be put off if you don’t immediately see what you want.
They can also help you customize a bike at any stage. They sell bare frames and a good selection of individual parts. You can build your dream bike from the ground up! Chrome forks, Brooks saddles, rims, straight bars /​curved bars, leather grips, locks, lights, sprockets, etc. Grab whatever you like and roll tough.
Michael, the owner, is a wonderful resource. He is a tome of knowledge and there is no pressure. The shop is very neat and simplistic: Only the good stuff. Recommended for cool older kids and adults.

Track bike Boutique? Whats a track bike? Fixed what? I ride a track bike, and this is the only track bike boutique in the city.
For those who don’t know, a track bike is a single speed bike that doesn’t have a freewheel. So that basically means no coasting. Peddling is a must at all times, however you can switch it out for coasting ability if that is what you’re looking for. It’s kind of a niche market, but with fixed gears gaining popularity, it’s great to have a shop like Ace Metric around.
The shop is set up with the best atmosphere, it feels like a skate shop and doesn’t have the elitist/​intimidating feeling some bike shops have. The owner doesn’t carry anything he wouldn’t put his name and feels that it is more about the product integrity than the almighty dollar. He rides in the city so he understand the need for quality bikes and parts. Super nice, and knowledgeable shop owner, and heavily involved in the bike scene here in Jamlando. If you’re looking to get a fixed gear, it’s worth going here, rather than fumbling through standard bike shops, go here! Ace Metric will have all the specialized parts/​goods you would want for your ride!
