Action Gator Tire

Could not have had better service. Got a nail in my tire while alone with my very cranky 15 month old son. Walked in, and Ryan, the manager, was extremely helpful, quick, and friendly. I can think of a thousand places I’d rather be alone with a baby, rather than waiting for a tire repair, however, the service was incredible! We will never go anywhere else. Thanks, Ryan!!!

Came here for a tire rotation and they never even rotated my tires! I caught it after I already paid and was about to leave. I brought it to their attention and it was as if it were not a big deal.

I do not like to give negative reviews. Unfortunately this particular location is deserving of one. I will no longer bring my 3 vehicles here nor will I recommend this location to my customers. Just don’t bother with this particular location. They seem to have a very large book of excuses and can’t seem to accept responsibility for their unprofessionalism.

I went there last week to change my oil and check my tires. I ended up paying over $ 1000 in work that had to be done because apparently I needed them fixed and they told me it wasn’t safe to drive like that. I am a young female and I know they take advantage of that. I have talked to other mechanics and they said I could drive my car fine without replacing what I had replaced there. I wanted to trust them but now I have learned my lesson. I have been going to Action Gator for years but now I am done with them. They lost another client.

Can’t say how much I appreciated the assistance I got from Ryan Richards, the Store Manager at AGT. I wanted a new set of wheels and tires for my 2000 Jeep Wrangler, and had a hard time getting pricing, compatibility, and recommendations from other vendors. They just didn’t seem interested in helping. Ryan, on the other hand, was super enthusiastic, extremely professional and responsive, gave me great advice, got the wheels and tires to the store and mounted overnight, and got them onto my Jeep barely an hour after I brought it in. I love these wheels/​tires, and the ride is so unbelievable it’s like I have a new vehicle, and I thank Ryan for that. Even after the sale, Ryan continued to give me advice and pointers and to answer my questions. But for their prices, I would’ve given AGT five stars. I can tell you that, at least in my instance, their product prices weren’t necessarily the lowest around (e.g., on the internet), but once you figure in labor, hassle, and the opportunity cost and diminishing returns of/​from spending gobs of time shopping far and wide, I still think I got a good deal. On top of that, AGT is not just a local (i.e., Orlando) business, but a neighborhood business (I barely a mile away), which I try to support. I will definitely go back.

My kind of shop, out door bays, got me in & out quickly with a new set of cooper tires, very friendly techs, able to set my commercial account up same day, give these guys a chance you’ll probably want to return.

DO NOT GO HERE! One of the mechanics who work here told me I had a bad cell in my battery and it needed to be replaced immediately and that I should bring it back to Action Gator to be replaced ASAP. He also provided me with a laundry list of items that also needed to be fixed. After going through paper work at home, I realized I was still under warranty with my existing battery, so I went to the auto parts store to pick up a new one. They ran a test on my battery to make sure it was, in fact, bad before they replaced it. It turns out, my battery was perfectly fine. The reading on the test came back «Good» and the man estimated about another year or two until I need to replace it. He said he actually used to work at the exact Action Gator location that I took my car to, and he said they are all crooks. He also said he doesn’t believe anyone who works there could possibly have a conscience considering how badly they rip people off. According to him, when he worked there Action Gator was required to sell a certain amount of batteries per month or else the mechanics didn’t make as much money. This better explains the «urgency» to fix my perfectly functioning battery. As a young female, it is hard to find a mechanic I feel like I can trust, and I can honestly say I will never return to any Action Gator location ever again.
