Went in last night for dinner, the place was clean and looked like it was going to be great, the hostess was nice. We sat in the back section by the kitchen on the right side. The server never gave us his name and seemed to busy to take care of us although he only had 4 tables. To get his attention we had to basically yell. He never noticed the add on that was at the table beside him because he was sitting down at the table in front of me talking to what seemed to be coworkers coming in to dine. The wine he gave me at first was obviously old. So I got something different. The food was good. But at that point we were ready to get out of there. After we sat with the boxes in front of us for about 10 minutes we finally decided to get his attention as he was still sitting at that table. Probably will not be back.

Okay so I really enjoy myself at this place! Of course it is close, which is always a great thing so no complaints there. I always come here for the karaōke on Wednesday nights. Actually I do it every Wednesday night because I like to do karaōke and I have met some cool people along the way. When I initially saw this place I was well, just another Mexican type of restaurant with good food, some drinks, and decent music. Well I was so very wrong. I did decide to check it out and get their food which is actually pretty good and the staff is very friendly and honest. I also like the fact that they have $ 1/$ 2 margarita night on Wednesday(another bonus), so that was another big win for me. I like the spacing of the restaurant because it lends to having big parties and still having room to fit others while not taking away from other customers. The bar is in its own area with 2 tvs and seating all around. It is very spacious, but sometimes on Wednesday nights it does get hard to move around due to the specials and karaōke night. The only thing that I would change about this place is probably the color scheme. You can still have the Mexican feel but be more inviting with colors and some of the furniture. Other than that, it’s and a fun spot to go to whether it’s Wednesday or any other day of the week.

In the grand scheme this isn’t my favorite mexican spot but I do love the margaritas on Wednesday! Go for $ 1 Wednesdays and stay for a few nachos.

Stay away from this place and stay away from Eat Street ordering. Over an hour and a half wait time. The restaurant menu and prices have changed. No one will call you and tell you when. Your food will arrive and how much it will cost. The ordering service, Eat Street and the delivery service blame each other for lack of communicating with customers. I’ve been on the dense about Unilocal for a while. It may be time to walk away. The restaurant isn’t that great, I’ve eaten there before and I only chose them this time because they allegedly had delivery lined up. There’s a better place just down the street called Azteca.

Horrible. I had the stuffed Anaheim peppers and I was extremely disappointed. They came stuffed with cheap tasteless ground beef and stale rice. The worst part, however, was the sad excuse for cheese on it which I suspect was some form of Easy Cheese. This place is pathetic.

Best Patron drinks EVER tasted beside mine… great food and expectacular service and attention. Took moms in a wheelchair and they always made me feel welcomed; made space for walker first time and accommodated wheelchair other times. Loved them… from manager to waitress. Thank you to all of your staff.

Group of 5 ate, 2 had good meals the other 3 picked half their chicken out. The two that didn’t have chicken, had good meals… Must have been the chicken. Chips, salsa, were really good.

Basic Americans trying to make Tex-Mex style food. Nothing special about their menu or quality of food. College kids as waiters and OK menu prices. There are better options for Tex-Mex, but this place is not too bad.

My photos corresponding to this review are posted, but at the back of the gallery. Amigos which I now call ami-gross is extremely disappointing! I saw they were busy so I decided to give it a try and regretted it immediately. The hostess was friendly and the server was okay. The booth my boyfriend and I sat at was stained and disgusting! My steak fajita quesadilla was bland and the steak was tough and overcooked. The free salsa was also bland and tasted just like tomato paste to me. I am a south Florida native so I know fresh salsa, this is store bought. I only ate 2 pieces of the quesadilla because it was so nasty then I decided to go to the restroom before I left… The toilet was DUCTTAPED together and the garbage bin had a nasty bacteria like film on it. This place obviously has employees that don’t care. Don’t waste your time going to ami-gross

Nothing spectacular. The food portions are way to big and they really don’t have any distinct flavor a as I would expect a tex mex place. The server mike did an okay job, but you can tell he really isn’t in to this job. I’m guessing he wasn’t able to get a job in his chosen profession so he’s doing this until something better comes along. The place was like a ghost town which should have been my first clue. Oh well.

Good food and a lot of it we like this place. Good taste and the staff is very nice. We try enchiladas, tamales and tacos and we recommend all of them. If you like TrxMex flavour this is one place uou have to visit.

Not impressed at all. Watered down margarita and bland food. The chile relleno’s batter was way too thick. The queso over the relleno tasted like melted velveeta. Totally regret wasting my calories on this wannabe Mexican restaurant.

This place used to be my go-to spot when friends or family would come visit me freshman year of college. That being over 5 years ago, this place has gone to the pits since then. I also had NO knowledge of the Orlando area then, and would honestly recommend almost any other place OTHER than Amigos to dine at. Hell, there’s a Pollo Tropical down the street on Colonial, you’ll find much better spanish food there. However, I’m giving this place 2 stars for the $ 1 margaritas and karaōke on Wednesday nights — the only saving grace this place has, I’m sure. They also serve you endless chips and salsa which are pretty great and FREE. So, go on a Wednesday, get wasted on $ 1 margaritas and chow down on the freebies. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else in Waterford if you must. There is also a Chipotle right across Alafaya which never disappoints.

Service: below average. Dude seemed in a hurry. Food: below average. I had vegetarian burrito which was okay, but did not eat rice or beans. Did not look like an authentic meal. My brother in law had quesadillas, he rated as being ok. But my sister had a taco salad, the meat was just disgusting. She had to share our portions. Price: was fair Clincher: so you know how serves clear out space after you eat, my plate and brother in law’s plate was nearly empty but server demanded to take my sisters none touch taco salad. I was really skeptical on that. Anyways, a waste of time and money food was okay experience, was not to good. Left there regretting we went in…

We stopped in for Cinco de Mayo tonight because it’s one of our favorite Mexican places on this side of town. Food is great and portions are huge. Their chips and salsa are some of the best I’ve had. Beer selection is lack luster, but their combination plates are on point. If you want an affordable meal and live music, stop on by!

Can you really call this food? I can’t believe this place still open. Worst Mexican food in the planet.

My son and I ate dinner at Amigo’s tonight. Unfortunately, we didn’t enjoy the experience. Our dinner began with stale complementary chips and watered down salsa. Followed by the worst beef enchiladas imaginable. The best item on the plate was the Spanish rice! Service wasn’t too good either… ugh! We won’t be returning to Amigo’s. There’s too many other restaurants in the Waterford Lakes area to choose from. Adiós Amigo’s!

Service was awesome and friendly, and the food came out fast. The manager even came around to ask how things were. That’s the only reason why I’m giving this place one star. I will always applaud great service. Now on with the bad: 1. This place is filthy. The lights are dim but as you make your way through the restaurant(and perhaps to the restrooms), have a look around. Everything is dirty and is in dire need of a military scrub-down(especially the restrooms). Check out the breathalyzer machine on the wall, it looks like someone spilled a drink on it last year and it hasn’t been cleaned since. If the outside of the restaurant looks like this, just imagine what the kitchen and food-prep areas look like. 2. The food is sub-par. Chips weren’t warm at all, I imagine they’ve been sitting in a basket all day in the back. The salsa has nothing going for it, basically tastes like Pace Picanta salsa. The Cheese Enchilada came out VERY lukewarm… This did not surprise me. Also went with the veggie fajitas… I can only compare the taste to pureed baby food wrapped in a tortilla. 3. Vegetarian options lack any thought whatsoever. Hmm… If I were to make a vegetarian fajita option, I wonder what I might include? Perhaps grilled onions, green & red bell peppers, and some tex-mex veggies? Nah, let’s just throw in some sauteed broccoli, carrots, tomatoes, mushrooms, and some yellow squash. Yeah, seriously. 4. The atmosphere is all over the place. As you look around, you might notice the bright pink A/C air ducts at the ceiling(trying to figure out how that ties in to tex-mex). You might also notice(like we did during this holiday visit) that a James Brown Motown song is playing from the ceiling speakers, but the next song is a Charlie Brown Christmas tune(okayyyyy…). In addition to the sub-par food, the«we’re trying so hard to be all things to all people» atmosphere just adds to the cheesy cringe-factor. I’ll never eat here ever again. Do yourself a favor and go to Chevy’s Mexican Restaurant(in Lake Buena Vista) if you want tasty mexican food.

I came here with my fiancée. When we sat down we were greeted by our server and he brought us chips and salsa. We looked at the menu while eating chips. Our water came back and we ordered our food. While getting to the bottom of the chips we noticed some ¾ inch brown objects in the chip basket. I was sure it was rat droppings. My fiancée begged me not to say anything, so I reluctantly did not. However we both decided we did not want anymore chips. Our food arrived and it was not the best. I had a chimichanga and the chicken seemed burnt and so did the tortilla it was wrapped in. My fiancée said she did not enjoy what she had either. I am going to keep telling myself it was not rat droppings in our chips. However I would warn anyone to be careful when they eat here. I took a photo that I will try to post. Why am I giving it 2 stars instead of 1 you ask? Since I reluctantly agreed not to say anything while there I am giving them 1 extra star.

I will generally go to Amigos when I want cheese enchiladas or fajitas. Tonight I had the added incentive of a coupon. As always the salsa was delicious. I has the Tampico and the 2 others I was with had the Fajita Quesadilla(steak). We also had the queso My platter was good. It’s never amazeballs but at least it is always consistent.
