Great food for a great price. I love how it always seems very clean. They offer delicious sauces and the portions are large and that makes it such a great night late spot.

Mixed review. My husband’s was pretty yummy, tasty with an arepa more like a soft corn pancake. Mine, on the other hand, was cold throughout – the meat, arepa, everything – because it was cooked too quickly and still cold from the fridge. The arepa itself was also quite hard, so all the talk of fresh and hot, not so much. Sorry, guys, you seemed like a nice place but we won’t be back.

These were the best arepas for hitting the spot late at night after a long flight!

This was delicious!!! And open late, I believe til 4 am. I had an arepa with chorizo, shredded pork, black beans, cheese and an assortment of wonderful sauces. The flavored were so good. I ordered another(what was I thinking? These are huge, I could barely finish the one, so lunch). I also had the cheese sticks. Not sure what I was getting but did I have a delicious surprise when I got home. It was cheese sticks(queso blanco I believe?!?) and they were wrapped in like crescent type rolled bread. Very tasty. Try this place.

These arepas are honestly one of the most amazing things that orlando has as of venezuelan food. Not only that but I had the chance to try the Cachapas and Tequeños which were right on point. Divina comida a todos los que tengan la oportunidad visiten Arepas el Cacao.

Arepas de Cacao is a nice hole in the wall in Hunters Creek that has a casual atmosphere of fútbol on the tv, spread out tables with ordering at the counter. The arepa with pollo and everything was definitely different from anything I’ve ever tried which included a rice — based tortilla holding a cold cheese and vegetable mix along with hot chicken. This $ 7 entrée was a new look into Venezuelan cuisine that I’ve never tried before. However the real winner of this place are the $ 3 jugos or juices. I got the jugo de mango and this will be the one refreshing thing keeping me coming back in the Orlando heat. Super fresh with great consistency, the jugos may just replace some days at a coffee shop. Four stars for the limited menu and because the food may be too different for friends who are picky eaters to thoroughly enjoy. **Update. Went here again in October 2015 and it seems like they updated the menu to include English alongside the Spanish. Also, whether I missed it before or if it’s new, you can choose five items, not limited to how many are meats! Weekend specials include quail eggs, chorizo, and other goodies!

These are true Venezuelan arepas! Reminds me of my childhood. So many options to choose from to stuff your arepas: original styles and new modern ones. They also serve delicious cachapas, another native dish. Their natural fruit juices are to die for. The staff is amazing. They are friendly and informative for those who don’t have experience eating arepas. I recommend una arepa con carne mechada y queso guayanés con un jugo de parchita. Or un jugo de guanabana. Or even guayana! Yum!

I’m from Miami so finding a comparable restaurant for Venezuelan food here in Orlando has been tough. We came across this place during one of our Unilocal searches and wow, what a surprise! Great great great! You can get up to five ingredients inside the arepa for one price. This allows you to fill it with whatever your heart desires :) they have their signature arepas which are called arepas el cacao 1 or 2… Absolutely delicious! There is a salad mixture they make with avocado, if you’re an avocado fan it’s a must have! I can’t remember the name but it’s like a chicken salad with avocado! They also have traditional Venezuelan drinks and fresh juices which was a great touch. We also tried the cachapa de queso, which again was really delicious! This is an awesome stop for a quick and delicious taste of home :)

Although this location is relatively new and I frequently visit it more often because it is near my house but I have know the restaurants/food truck for several years. This location is by far one of the worst. The food quality in this location is still good nay similar, but the quantity is decreased and continues to worsen and it’s still slightly over priced with no foreseeable change. The employees have a lack of attention and the wait time has gotten longer with employees seeming to have a lack preparation as they cook things in a rush and its result shows with a poorly executed arepa that is wrongly made lacking ingredients and weirdly cut in half that it needed to be cut in half again yet to be wrongly cut. So far a horrible experience and might not return due to the fact that the employees don’t really care for my opinion when approached about the experience.

Great arepa and cachapa spot in hunters creek. This location is fairly new but the food quality and service are both top notch. There are plenty of street food favorites here and everything is delicious. Definitely will be coming back.
