This is a wonderful place to come for breakfast sandwiches! Everything is fresh made and delicious. The donuts are equally as delicious. Bakery Plus is a family owned business that has been there for years. Always consistently good. Need to come with cash. No debit cards accepted but the prices are very reasonable. And for those that like driver through, there is a drive up window ! Call ahead and pickup. Give it a try. You won’t be disappointed!

Vintage Donut Shop with extremely modest appearance. I visited 30 minutes before they close and yet still refused to prepare any kind sandwich(Which I believe is stupid! You have a business and you do not want to make business???) Well, not a big deal… I decided to choose a Glazed Donut out of the almost empty shells. The donut is firm and spongy the way Iike them. Which not much to offer I hardly believe to stop by anytime soon.

Love the bagels and doughnuts, so fresh. Be prepare to be in line for a little bit and make sure you have cash, our first time we spent 15 minutes in line before we realized that’s we have no cash. Went to the bank and come back but so worth it.

Had a wonderful time eating at this local gem. I certainly recommend the doughnuts and some of the sandwiches, my personal favorite is a sausage egg and cheese on a plain bagel.

At the outset you must have some understanding of Bakery Plus or it may not be to your liking. This is a mom and pop, plus daughters shop. It is not fancy, it is sparse inside, there are a total of four people who work there, all family, and at times it is just mom and pop. Everything is made in house, the owners, a man and his wife, get there very early bake everything and open up when the time comes. –They only take cash. –The customers come in cycles, there is the breakfast rush, some what of a rush at lunch, and the school rush after school. It is a short walk from Boone High and Blankner K-8. If you come during the rush you might wait 15 minutes. Otherwise the wait is no more than 5 minutes if that. The Bagels– They are not northeastern style. They are large breads shaped like a bagel but the are not boiled. They are however very good. The bagels egg with bacon and cheese or sauage and cheese are very good. But they are prepared while you wait. No microwave eggs they cooked them in a small skillet. Inexpensive. And as good as it gets if you want regular donuts

After 20 years in Orlando, I am moving out of state. I must say that I will miss this place more than most. Absolutely the freshest, best donuts in town. Donut King is great for specialty, gimmicky donuts, but this place excels at the true standards in donuts and bagels. I also love their breakfast sandwiches, and the service is always friendly and with a smile. Oh, and don’t pass up the apple fritters.

Today was just a joy-ride day. I saw this place and i made a U-turn. I’m so glad I did, Ive eaten bakery-style baked goods from my childhood. The price is just right and the flavors came through. The strawberry glazed tastes just like strawberries. I will return.

Quick, delicious and cheap! Great local spot to grab a donut or breakfast sandwich. They get busy but they’re quick with service just make sure to bring cash since that’s all they take. The donuts are light, airy and melt in your mouth! My husband and I had the breakfast bagels with egg and cheese and they were pretty darn tasty and only $ 3!

We LOVED this place. What they lack in décor and ambience(which is an ambience in itself) they make up for tenfold in the delicious, well-proportioned and perfectly made food and their prices! A bagel with cream cheese, bacon egg, cheese breakfast sandwich, two doughnuts and two coffees = $ 10.25! P. S. They have a drive-thru!

Small local family run bakery, cash $$$ only. The bagels are a little unique, but are perfectly suited for the very reasonable $ 2.67 bacon/egg/cheese/everything breakfast sandwich I get every time. Bearclaws, apple fritters, blueberry glazed donuts are personal favs. The guy at the counter even adds the cream & sugar to your coffee at an acceptable balance. Not a chain, no fuzzy decorations, foam cups, but you can see the neighborhood loyalty by the line that can form at any moment of the day.

Bakery Plus is not far from my house and I could not be more fortunate. Last night was my dad’s birthday and I bought a cake from Bakery Plus; I don’t even know how they made such a light, moist, DELICIOUS cake. One of the best I’ve ever eaten. Everything I’ve tried from here has been great — the coffee, bread and buns, desserts. I’ve also read fantastic reviews of the butter tarts, which is next on the list to try. Highly recommend this place; come support a nice local gem.

Love this place. A local bakery with tons of variety(no crazy flavors, but all the staples). I most recently stopped by to pick up a donut reward for my students. Some of the flavors are extra sweet, and I am not a fan of the original glaze, but on the whole they are fresh, large, and delicious! Come support a local business. And bring cash!(They don’t accept credit cards)

You don’t come here for the ambiance, and yes it is cash only. But the donuts are inexpensive and delicious! We also have enjoyed the bagels and the croissant sandwiches. Everything is very fresh and if you come too late in the day there won’t be as large of a selection because it’s a popular spot. Get here early and bring cash. It’s delicious, love to support our local businesses!

I had a craving for fresh bagels this morning. Having passed Bakery Plus a number of times while traveling down Michigan St. I figured I would give them a shot. How I wish I hadn’t. When I arrived at the drive-thru, nobody was there, and it was a good 30 seconds before anyone came to the window. The gentleman that took my order had the personality of a wet sponge and didn’t even bother to tell me my total before taking my money. To top it all off, now that I think about it, I didn’t even get a receipt. The bagels smelled good on the ride home, but when I opened the box, all I thought was«he gave me rolls». These are the farthest things from bagels you can get. I’ve seen pillows less fluffy than these were. Seriously, they are rolls with holes. The cream cheese was good, though, so there was that… What I wanted and what I got were so far apart from each other, I would highly recommend going elsewhere for bagels. And by elsewhere I mean even Lender’s Bagels at the grocery store. The added star is for the relatively low cost of $ 7.35 for a half dozen bagels and a tub of cream cheese, but value doesn’t really mean much when you don’t even want to eat them to begin with.

Local love! Little donut shop on Michigan. The inside is exactly what you’d expect it to be — a few booths and a bustling donut counter. They have all the usual suspects: donuts, muffins, bagels, fritters, and a few warm items like hash browns and breakfast sandwiches. Hands down my fave is the old fashioned donut. The bagels are a bit different from what you might expect — softer and more like a roll, still delicious and also great for hamburger buns. Super reasonable pricing, as two bagels, a blueberry muffin and a donut set me back about $ 4 for example. Cash only; weird parking lot and even weirder drive through line; go anyway :)

This is an Orlando gem. I would drive out of my way while going to work just to go there. CHEAP prices and amazing donuts and breakfast sandwiches. Coffee is ok. Could be a lot better. The girls working there are always super nice.

We stopped by here on the way home from a weekend in Orlando. My husband found on Unilocal and the great reviews it got so we just had to try. They are located on the outskirts of downtown Orlando. The donuts were wonderful. We got a ½ dozen, I have to say the sour cream donuts were some of the best I’ve had. I also enjoyed their Apple Fritter. Crispy on the outside but not too doughy or thick on the inside. They also have a lot of cream filled ones which were just as good. A ½ dozen of donuts and apple fritter was a little of $ 5 which is very inexpensive. They also have bagels so look forward to trying next time as a breakfast sandwich. I would say if you are in Orlando and are looking for a great tasting donut to give this place a try. Note to yourself, they take CASH only.

Yum! Finally got to try this place out. Parking is a nightmare, and we lucked out and got a spot for once. Of course the line was a bit long, but it went somewhat quick. We ordered two bagel egg and cheese sandwiches, one with bacon on an everything bagel, the other with sausage on a plain bagel, and two donuts. They only accept cash, so keep that in mind. We ate the donuts while we waited for the sandwiches, and they were really good. I liked my vanilla frosted, and appreciate that the doughy part was not really sweet, making the frosting stand out nicely. The bagels were so soft, almost like rolls, but with nice flavor. The sandwiches are quite filling, so next time I may skip the donut(who am I kidding, I likely won’t). We did wait a bit for the sandwiches, but it was pretty busy so that’s to be understood. There are a few tables and a little breakfast bar where everyone waited for their food. From what I can tell, they get busy in waves. We lucked out this time, as previous times I haven’t even been able to get into the parking lot. There is also a drive through, so the cars in line tend to take up a lot of the small parking lot space as well.

I try not to write negative reviews l; always look on the bright side. But this place just left me in a sour mood. So I’m all for throwback, quirky places. You know, old time diners and sandwich shops. Beefy King is a perfect example of how to do it right. Bakery Plus is not. I was rushing to work on a Saturday morning at my nonprofit to train some new volunteers, and I wanted to bring them done donuts. This place is on my way, and I liked the no frills look, so I stopped in. Talk about sparse, when I walked in, I s shocked at just how plain, old and… Dirty it felt. I’d say it had a sterile feel to it, but that would assume some level of cleanliness, which is not an assumption I would make based on the look of this place. While it was slow, they were out of many donuts. But, when the gentleman asked what I wanted — no «hello…good morning, etc«mind you — I began ordering an assorted dozen. He seemed like he could not care less about the customers or any semblance of customer service. Upon finishing my order, he gave me the total and I started to hand him my card, to which he said, «we don’t take cards. There’s a bank a few blocks away.» If there was a sign saying cash only, it wasn’t displayed well enough to be seen easily. And who is cash only these days?! I know that’s a bit of white whine here, but cmon! So, I just left. I had no time to go get cash and come back. There’s a dunkin donuts near my work, so I just went there, and for just a bit more than I would have paid at this place, I got a much more varied bakers dozen. I really try to shop local, but in this instance I was late for work and had to go to a chain which gave me better customer service, cleanliness and variety. I’ll never go back to this place again. I wonder how many customers they lose just because they can’t venture into this century and get a card swiper.

I came here to pick up some breakfast for my friends and Because I saw the reviews on Unilocal I decided to give this local business a go instead of the usual Dunkin’ or Einstein Bros. The parking lot is small and the building looks dingy. The inside is even dingier… There was quite a line but it gave me time to look over the variety of donuts they had. I ordered 3 plain bagels with plain cream cheese and four donuts.(I wanted one cinnamon bagel but they were out and I guess once they’re out, they don’t make more?!) I was also unaware they that DON’T accept debit/credit(you expect most places to these days), luckily I had a $ 10 bill on me. I guess they are able to keep their prices so low by keeping it a strict CASHONLY business. I waited about 5 minutes for my bagels to come out since the donuts are ready to go. The employees here are very slow and not that friendly. Working at a breakfast joint, you know 95% of your customers are probably heading to work and don’t have time to waste. They should have a sense of urgency and want to get people in and out as soon as possible. When I got in my car I pulled out one bagel and my heart sank. The thing in my hand could not possibly, on any continent or universe, be considered a bagel. Bagels are hard and toasted to a golden brown color on the outside and doughy on the inside. This thing was a piece of mush. Mush I tell you! It was totally flat, not appealing and could’ve passed as a biscuit. Seriously, I would’ve have been better off buying prepackaged bagels from a grocery store. I was so upset I wanted to throw the thing out the window. I tried one donut(plain with powdered sugar) and it was good. I got two donuts with vanilla icing and sprinkles for my friends and my boyfriend said it was really, really good. So I’ll give this place another go but not for their bagels
