I still remember the first thing I ever had from Bruno’s cart: a vegan empanada. Not that it’s incredibly relevant, but I do enjoy eating meat. I’ve had empanadas everywhere — this one took the gold medal. The dough was light tasting and perfectly contained a very savory concoction of mushrooms and the like. Seriously one of the most memorable things I’ve ever eaten(PLEASEMAKETHESEAGAIN!!). Bruno’s a very talented chef. On some Thursday evenings, I find myself going completely out of my way to make a stop at Redlight Redlight to try what he’s making. The last stop I made, he had something like«octopus arrabiata» — which was local octopus with fresh garlic and marinara served with a piece of ciabatta bread. It was absolutely delicious. Aside from the really tasty international/“not-so-standard” food truck fare, he makes a MEAN cheese steak. From what I’m told by my friends, the fried Oreos are to die for. Wishing this endeavor much success and I highly recommend you stopping by to try for yourself!

I’ve only eaten Big Bruno’s Bites during or after a night at Redlight, so maybe I’m somewhat partial(or buzzed). This guy knows how to cook up some darned good fish tacos, fries, cheesesteaks… the works. Next time you’re at Redlight and want some grub, check it out — he’s almost always there on Fridays, and Redlight will post up on Facebook & such when he’s around. And if you don’t like the food, head to Oblivion since it’s close! :-)

Exceptional bar fare! Oblivion Taproom is where I go for great beer and great food: but when I mix it up and head to Redlight for their super selection of craft beers, Bruno’s is there as a nice complement. This is not health food but his flavors are spot on. Grab some Cajun fries or a cheesesteak and you will not be disappointed.

You need to take a moment one late night on your way home from downtown Orlando. Take East Colonial home instead of the highway. Make your way to Red Light. Mosey on over to BBB’s cart of deliciousness. Then thank me for insisting you make this succulent stop. To say Bruno takes pride in his job would be an understatement. He selects high-quality ingredients(often organic or locally grown) and is always interested to hear what you thought of his food. There was a time in my life when I used to often go downtown for fun(eh-hem, then I had kids), and it was a ritual of mine to grab a bratwurst on my way to the parking lot. So I’ve had brats from many of the downtown vendors. Bruno’s blows them all out of the water. Not even a contest. Just on his brats alone he wins, but then you add in his gourmet menu selection and his just-kill-me-now sweets(deep-fried Oreos, yes, that’s right) and he isn’t just the best food cart in Orlando any more, BBB is the ONLY place I’ll eat at after midnight. Great service, outstanding food, and reasonably priced. If you haven’t tried BBB yet then you’re missing out. Just don’t try to order food with an Inter Milan jersey on!

Bruno is brilliant. A food truck outside what is easily one of the best bars in Orlando(*to my knowledge) that serves up unhealthy but awesome food. He whipped me up a Margarita pizza on a grill which was essentially thin crust, fresh mozzarella, tomato sauce(heavy on the garlic), and fresh basil. Who knew grilled pizza from a food truck could be good? I sure did, but it sure was. I sampled a few fries, both old bay, cajun, and cheese fries… all very good. Lastly, we went with an order(or several) of fried oreos. I only had one, which nearly gave me a heart attack, but it was delicious… Almost like a zeppoli with mushy chocolate on the inside. A crazy feast of awesome, horrible-for-you food for 6 of us was less than $ 70. Score.

I have NEVER once been disappointed with my decision to grab a bite from BBB. Bruno’s serves up delicious, fresh, and quality food from a unique and ever changing menu. The Old Bay fries or tots and a fried Oreo are what life is all about!

Man, I love food. So does Bruno. I can tell. He’s my kind of guy. I had the pork roll sandwich, which was tasty(pork roll, fried egg, and whiz — on a crazy good artisan bun). A little salty, if I’m gonna be honest. But I still ate the whole thing. Because luckily I had a delicious beer to wash it down(I was at Redlight Redlight). If I hadn’t had the beer, the sandwich would have been a little over-salty. And unfortunately, the curry fries were a bit salty too. He cut off the curry after our order, so I suspect we got the way-concentrated curry at the end of the night. The fries were super-crispy, which was great. My boyfriend had the locally made Italian sausage, which was incredible. So why the 4-star rating? Well, because he put whiz on my sandwich. And there is a philly cheesesteak on the menu. Which means next time I go, I can get a philly cheesesteak with whiz, the way it’s supposed to be. You can’t get that ANYWHERE here in Orlando! Well, apparently except Bruno’s. And also — 4-stars for the STELLAR fried oreo. I was frightened by it, and then I tried it, and now I am a believer.

This is one of my favorite food cart/trucks. I love that it’s usually attached to Redlight, Redlight. The vibe of Bruno’s is really laid back and friendly. Bruno serves up some really yummy cheesesteak and gypsy steak… REALLY good :) But if you’re more of a foodie there is always interesting things to try like local shrimp, pork bahn mi, vegetarian sausage, and lamb tacos. I like that there are regular things that he usually has and specials. For me the fries… especially the old bay and the cheesesteak are faves. I also feel that this is a place where there’s something for everyone… lots of different beers at redlight and a variety of food at Brunos. The perfect place to go on a weekend to chill and hangout with friends. And DON’T leave Brunos without some fried oreos… seriously the best fried oreos I’ve had!!!

Great experience here! It was my first time at Redlight Redlight and I’d seen Bruno mentioned in some reviews. Bruno was not only charismatic and friendly, but speedy as well! Ordered the Bahn Mi. Never had it before so I don’t really have anything to compare it to. Tasted good to me though! My gf got the local bratwurst and that tasted good as well. Didn’t get to try the oreos but I hope to on one of the next encounters. Affordable, fast, and friendly service on a Friday night makes for a solid 4 star review.

Big Bruno’s seems like the perfect match for Redlight. We had been hoping to try out Bruno’s for a long time, but as my luck usually runs, he’s just never out when we go to Redlight — until this weekend. Looking over the menu for the night(which I understand changes regularly), I decided that a locally made brat would go great with my beer. Followed, of course, by a couple of deep fried Oreos. About 5 minutes later, my food was ready. The brat was delicious, amongst the better ones I’ve had. The deep fried Oreos were perfect. Many food stands overcook them and they turn to mush. These retained their consistency a lot better. A while later, my wife decided that she was finally hungry enough to try some food, and selected the vegan Italian sausage. To say that she loved it would be an understatement. For the food and service, four stars. I wouldn’t go out of my way to check where he is and head down there, but if he’s back out at Redlight any night I’m there, I’d be happy to try some more food. Unfortunately, I did have an issue regarding his professionalism. On one of my trips up to the cart(picking up my first order), he was already engaged in a conversation with some other customers regarding other food trucks in town. The whole group was just complaining about food at other trucks. Bruno, himself, had joined in and saying how the other trucks were rip-offs(in terms of pricing and quality). To be fair, it seemed like the customers had started the line of conversation, but he didn’t need to start slinging arrows himself. I don’t expect every business or food truck owner to be friends, but at least be professional while working. Smile, nod and change the subject.

Just when I thought Friday night at Redlight couldn’t get any better, Bruno shows up! Everything he makes is great but you gotta go with the pork roll. He is always changing the selection, bringing in new inventions like fried oreos, nutella and strawberry pressed sandwiches, and truffle fries with aioli sauce. Always great ingredients, many locally made or organic. I’ve never been disappointed – with the food or the price! Definitely my favorite food truck in town!

Pork Roll. Do it. Bruno is legit. And he was doing this WAY before any of those food trucks. This guy rules. He’s fast and the food is tasty. Find him at Redlight Redlight on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights.

BBB =‘s a good man with a solid food cart! I’m going to go less«review» style and more«open letter» style. Bruno, So ages ago, someone tweeted to me that I should check you out. I tweeted back and asked if you were a food truck. You replied and said no, but you were trying to work your way up. You seemed genuine, humble, and I was like« Unilocal! Get behind this guy!» I think I even tweeted you and UnilocalOrlando at the same time, because I’m into twitter-networking like that. But weeks went by and I didn’t get to try your food. I follow you on Twitter and am aware of where you’re at, but I just didn’t have the time. But finally, finally, I got to go to Redlight Redlight with my girlfrends Lauren and Kelly. The bar was so packed we pretty much walked in and right over to your cart. We got some beers, you made us some dogs, and then you made us six fried oreos. In fact, you made us wait because you wanted to have enough batter so that they would be really great. And they were. So thank you for the excellent food, the great service, and ensuring the quality of our fried oreos was top-notch. You’re the best, and we’ll be back! — Ali

Pete, I got to try Bruno’s! They were out at the Ivanhoe MAYhem street party this weekend. I was super excited to try this place because all of the amazing reviews it’s getting, knowing they have Philly steaks and well, I adore cheesesteaks! Being from Philly, I grew up on the cheesesteak and I miss it each and everyday. I approached the food stand and requested the cheesesteak and told them I was so excited because i was from Philly. I was asked it I wanted onions and peppers, I went with just onions. I didn’t really realize I wasn’t asked about cheese selection. When I was handed the $ 7 cheesesteak it was so sad looking(look at the photos). It was a glorious roll, layered in cheese-wiz type cheese(not a wiz fan ATALL) and what appeared to be 2 pieces of flat steak, not filling the roll at all. I was so sad by the look of it, I am used to a roll overflowing with meat and just calling to be devoured. However, when I bit into it if did have flavor and I finished the whole thing. I just wish they wouldn’t skimp on the steak, they would cut it like the places I love in Philly like Jim’s and offer cheese varieties. I am excited to try other things on the menu but this experience was just A-OK.

Bruno knows what’s up. Hangin out at Redlight? No? Well you should be, cause he’s usually there. Parked out by the side of the building you can smell his cart wafting deliciousness all up in your face. No matter how full you are you can’t resist it. It’s like AIR magic that makes you hungry. You curse him and run up to the front to read what he’s cooking. What’s awesome? He changes it up often to either fit the event or whatever he was able to catch that day. Hot dogs, bacon wrapped hot dogs, vegan brats, the best cheese steaks with the wiz(you heard me, WIZ). Those are standards. If you’re lucky you might be able to catch things like scotch eggs, banh mi, curry fries, duck fat fries, fried oreos, bacalao fritters, it just doesn’t stop. He had fresh shucked oysters the other night that I missed. Would I eat oysters from a food cart? I would from Bruno. It’s all served up hot and glistening by one of the friendliest food dudes around and sriracha is always available. If you haven’t tried this guy’s food yet you’re really missing out. It’s cheap, it’s GOOD and it goes perfect with that choice craft bee– oh hell, it’ll go good with sewer water if that’s what you’re drinking. Just try it!

If your looking for after drinking noms to match the delicious beers from red light or Odins… Bruno is your man. Usually by red light close to Baldwin on bennet and less likely at Odins den off Howell branch in winter park. Rad! Some healthy and others not so. Totally made with tattooed man love. Vegan brats with sourkrout and smothered in mustard… yes sir. Also he had some killer veggie tacos at one point. My husband is a HUGE fan of the sometimes rotating scotch eggs(and he’s English so if he like em it says something surely). I normally catch him outside of Odins and he’s one of those great guys that you’ve seen at shows downtown for years. Apparently I heard he might be at the food truck heaven event may3rd in the plaza theatre. Check his facebook for updated menus and killer pictures.

Big Brunos Bites… Where to start… This guy knows him how to cook some bangin food. From the best cheese steak you can find in Florida, to some specials that will blow your socks off, this cart has it all. The deep fried oreo’s are absolutely sensational and more akin to a religious experience than anything else. Pork Roll Egg and Cheese will make your drinking experience 200% more enjoyable. The man behind the cart is as good as they come. And the other guy that works for him is pretty cool, if I may say so myself. All in all Big Brunos Bites has the flavor that the other foodcarts in the Orlando area are lacking. I’ve eaten at the trucks, Vegan Hotdog Guy, and the Sabretts cart. Bruno beats them all.

I like hot dog carts. I get dogs… maybe a kielbasa sometimes. Bruno’s Big Bites is not a hot dog cart. He calls it «street food.» He’s very passionate about working with traditional fare and giving it a unique flavor. You can get a cheesesteak. You can also get a Gypsy Steak, topped with amazing just-hot-enough peppers. Why order a hot dog, when there’s the Hypocrite… a vegan dog wrapped in bacon? I’ve had sliders before, but never anything like last week’s Lamb Slider, with tzatziki sauce and cukes. He has a standard, everyday menu, but what keeps me driving across town to find him are the one-off offerings like carnita tacos and grilled margarita pizzas with vegan ricotta. One Twitter post from Bruno(@BrunosBites) can change my dinner plans. You can find him at RedlightRedlight in Orlando, and occasionally at Odin’s Den in Winter Park. I found him at Redlight a few weeks ago, and caught a purely unscripted self-review of the man’s food. Find it at Everything he makes is awesome… hand cut fries with truffle salt and garlic aioli, deep fried DoubleStuffed Oreos… but my favorite end to a night with a few pints is the simple Pork Roll. Layers of grilled hadoused in cheese topped with a fried egg. Add a little Siracha for spice, and your night’s complete. If you need late night munchies, and Taco Bell and Wendy’s are getting old, find Bruno’s cart. There truly is nothing finer.

Such a huge fan of Big Brunos! Imagine sitting at your favorite beer bar, perhaps Redlight. Okay, let’s say it’s Redlight Redlight(cause he’s there a lot of nights). Then this guy pulls up with a large food cart and just when you were thinking you were hungry starts selling great food. Made to order. Off the cart. I’m a vegetarian, and fortunately Bruno always has something to appease me. Most nights it’s a locally made vegan brat, cooked up perfect and with sauteed onions and peppers(if you like). Smother it in mustard and I can’t think of a better companion to many beers. I know, I know, 99% of you reading this aren’t vegetarian. Don’t worry, it’s not a veggie cart. He has locally made 100% beef hot dogs, he mixes it up with such fare as(just a couple recent examples): Palmetto creek pork carnets tacos, bacalao frita w/aioli, tortilla espanyol, Spanish omelet with lake meadow eggs, and mussels vinagrette. Yeah, he’s got it going on. For a guy with a tiny cart, he delivers a lot of flavor. I can’t say enough about the guy and how he runs his business. I’m a big fan. (PLEASENOTE: Bruno shows up many places, not just Redlight. But he’s there Thurs-Sat if I remember right, usually around 8 or 9pm.) EDIT: updated to reflect he now takes credit cards
