This is under new management. The wine for a Unilocal Check-in offer is no longer a deal. I suggest that because it’s now called Bistro Coq at Vin that they have to start a new Unilocal or get rid of the deal.

This is now operating under Bistro La Coq Au Vin, in collaboration with the Orange avenue mainstay restaurant by the same name. The service was excellent, our wonderful GM Peter greeted us for lunch, honored the Bistro Clo Clo Unilocal checkin perk with 2 glasses of his recommend French wine, perfect pairing with the spicy gumbo! Food arrived piping hot and spiced where no salt was needed, the sandwich was excellent and the truffle fries were amazing, only gripe was the portion on the fries was a little small, because they were so good, we wanted more! Wonderful ambiance and music, good artwork for sale on the walls. Would love to return to see what dinner and dessert options are offered. Wonderful lunch and not at all overpriced! Location was of course great and accessible! Magnifique!

SO… Bistro CloClo is now another restaurant, but it has both names on the front of the restaurant. weird! We Unilocaled this restaurant before we went in… they had a free glass of wine on the Unilocal app. We asked the waiter about the free glass and my mom was delighted. We ordered the turkey and brie sandwich with french fries… it was just ok! When we went to pay, the glass of wine was on the check. We told the server and he got the manager to come over. I didn’t get this manager’s name, but he tried to tell us that they were no longer Bistro CloClo and that we had to pay for the wine??? I think Bistro CloClo needs to update their Unilocal site! Won’t go back…

I cannot say enough good things about this place. We had an amazing time. The Bellinis and Mimosas were perfect and the waiter couldn’t have been more attentive. Thank you Alex! We had a large group and the food was delivered together and everything was so good. We will definitely be back!!!

Great outdoor seating! The seafood choices were great and portions generous. We tried a selection of the appetizers and I got the scallops as the main. All the vegetables and seafood were extremely fresh. I’ll definitely be back to try the pumpkin ravioli that they were out of. Surprised to find such an authentic gem in Orlando.

Took my mother here for her birthday, and we had a very good time. I drank several of the Hibiscus Bellini’s which were absolutely incredible. My mother got the Escargot, which she said was among the best she ever had. Our entrees were all cooked and seasoned perfectly, except for my husbands. He ordered what was on special that night– Pork Medallions, and they were bland and uninspired compared to our other dishes. The desert was AMAZING. We had a white chocolate Mousse as part of our sampler that we all fought over. It was to die for.

Great happy hour with $ 5 wines and appetizers. Loved enjoying a glass of Pinot Noir and the CloClo sliders on their porch.

What a great experience. I came for an early dinner by myself. The food was delicious and staff was friendly. I had the beet and goat cheese salad and steak frites, accompanied by their Rose sangria. What a gorgeous way to spend a spring evening!

This place was quite the find for us! I have never been to a French restaurant, so it was a cultural experience for me. The service was great, our waiter Gregori was very nice and helpful in deciding what to order. We started with the mussels which came in a large quanitity. Whatever sauce was used in that with bread was probably the highlight of our night. I ordered the ravioli. The menu says squash and pumpkin but tonight they had mushroom ravioli. it was very good. Not a ton of food but a perfect amount after our appetizer. We also used our Unilocal free glass of wine and got the Moscato-La Perlina which was excellent! Overall had a great time and experience.

We got the mussels and the sauce with the mussels was spectacular. I think that sauce was my favorite thing all night, I used the bread to sop it up. I also got the seafood saffron risotto. The risotto was good in a creamy rich kind of way, I didn’t taste saffron specifically. I also got moscato, it was great! Do be warned you might want to ask for tap water. We were a bit surprised to see a $ 7 charge for water on our bill… We really just wanted tap water.

I found my new favorite place for Wine Down Wednesday! Bistro Clo Clo is a little hidden gem in a strip mall in Dr. Phillips… But what a find! I went the Wednesday before Valentine’s day, they had live music, ½ off bottles of wine and a pre fix menu for $ 39 that was to die for. I had escargot for my first course and they were dripping in a garlic butter sauce, lamb chops for dinner that were grilled to perfection and dessert was a chocolate bread pudding that put all other bread puddings to shame. Overall a great dinning experience. Cannot wait to go back!

Prompt service for takeout, ready when I arrived as promised for timing. French onion soup was far too salty, had I dined in, I would have returned it. And I’m a salt junky. But I will go back, rest of meal was very good.

Tres bien! I am struggling trying to find an area of improvement for CloClo. Really an all around great experience. We stopped in for an early lunch and stepped into a quaint but spacious venue, playing French radio in a clean and fairly modern environment. Our waiter was French and very courteous, checked on us often, smiled, and answered all questions promptly. Their wine list is fairly solid and also have an interesting variety of mimosas… including the peach Bellini which I decided to try. Priced at $ 10…it was a very refreshing drink! Champagne wasn’t dry and there wasn’t a ton of Preach nectar, which, by the way… they make in house! I think that’s what sold me honestly. Doesn’t get any fresher. :) For lunch my boyfriend and I both ordered the Croque Monsieur… a favorite sandwich of ours. I devoured my salad first so it didn’t distract me from my Croque experience lol. ;-) My first bite of the Croque already had the nice, creaminess one expects in the middle of the sandwich, along with ham. Every bite of that sandwich made my happy. I cried when I finished because I wanted more. Jk. ;) For dessert we shared the Apple Tart with vanilla ice cream… and OMG was it light and perfect! There was no crusty, flaky crumby mess… or much gooey to the apples. I know you’re thinking that sounds very boring, but each thin slice of the apple tart went so perfect with the ice cream. I finished with a shot of espresso with raw sugar. Very pleased! We will be back! Check this place out for sure. It’s a true gem.

Todays word of the day is «gorgeous».(more later) There’s not enough French restaurants to choose from so when I see a new one, I get overly excited. Reservations were made via Open Table but couldn’t make them on their Unilocal page. The restaurant was clean and the walls were bare sans for the hanging paintings that an artist was selling. They had a very cute outdoor seating area that seemed to be more casual. The food: Escargot: Medium size snails that was served on top of puff pastries with a garlic & butter sauce. Very good but it bordered on an American style dish. Definitely filling though! Coquilles St. Jacques: Seared sea scallops sitting upon black risotto with an apple cider Cognac sauce. The risotto was a bit thin, and the scallops were cooked med rare. I prefer them cooked a bit more so the chef sent me out ones that were more to my liking. Kudos to the chef! The sauce was superb and it nicely tied the dish together. This dish was also ample. Crème Brulee: The Brulee was nice and thick. The service was a bit uncomfortable at times. Every single time I was spoken to, I was called«gorgeous». This is appropriate if you are only dining at a more casual restaurant. Certainly not at a pricey, white linen tablecloth French restaurant where your silverware is changed between courses. As if that wasn’t inappropriate enough I was touched twice on my arm and the server asked me questions shouting from the other side of the restaurant. If you would like to ask me a question or say something to me at my table and I’d be happy to oblige! Too bad the service ruined my experience as I was probably going to return just for the food.

Great food and ambience and even greater to have the old Press 101 location active again! They had a Prix Fixe menu including ap, entrée and desert for $ 34. Good deal considering many combos would run about $ 35-$ 55. Really Orlando has few options for French restaurants. There is Le Coq au vin near downtown and Café D Paris in northern Dr. Phillips. This is a great supplement that does not encroach on either style restaurant. The food is more in line with a restaurant but more café ambience.

This place deserves an extra star for the outstanding service and food. Wish I could give them a 6! We were looking for someplace local to experience the magical dining package and saw that a new French place had just opened up, so we decided to try Bistro CloClo. As stated by others, it is located in the old Press 101 location, but it looks nothing like its former residents space. We made reservation on Open table, just in case, even though it was a Monday night. When we arrived, we were actually greeted by name(I think by the owner) and given a choice of where to sit. Our server, Philip came over a few minutes earlier and explained the drinks, happy hour special and the magical dinning menu. We were also informed that they will be continuing to offer this menu until December. We started with wine, of course, and lots of fresh baked bread. My wife and I both got the same meals: Appetizer: Tuna Tartar — Amazing Main Course: Strip Steak — Cooked perfectly and huge Dessert: Crème Brulee — OMG! The entire experience was truly amazing, not rushed and priced very well. I will certainly be back for happy hour to try a few more of their delicious appetizers.

This place is housed in the old Press 101 location. I used to love going to Press 101, and was rather sad when I found out it burned down. So, already, I had high expectations if this place… seeing at it was replacing one of my neighborhood faves. I have to start first in mentioning that our service for our dinner(there were 6 of us) was outstanding! Our waiter was really nice, helpful, and didn’t hover. He was always somehow there to just swoop plates towards you and away from you without interrupting our conversation. The food was tasty. Very typical French bistro style, with pretty generous portions. I loved the mushroom soup and mussels. I also got a dynamite glass of prosecco. The décor is really cute, and they’ve done some smart renovations; taking out the bar and adding large mirrors on one wall. The changes make the space seem a lot larger. It’s also a plus that the tables have space between them, as opposed to the old place. I can’t wait to come back and try something else and get some dessert — I skipped the sweets this time, but they looked amazing! Definitely worth a try! So good to have a French place in the ‘hood!

Authentic French Bistro food and sidewalk café ambience, too. Just as cafes spill out onto the sidewalks in Paris, CloClo spills out onto the sidewalk at the Dr. Phillips Marketplace, but it is considerably more weatherproof than a Paris café, a good think on a rainy Orlando afternoon! The lunch menu offers the starters and lighter fare one would expect in Paris, including«Croque» sandwiches, a quiche of the day, and crepes. For me the highlights are the starters, including the smoked salmon, pates, and especially the mussels, which were perhaps the best I’ve had anywhere, finished in a delicate wine and cream sauce with a touch of herbs and a much lighter garlic dose than most places. The white sangria, a house specialty, was an unexpected surprise, and very refreshing. There are also a variety of Champagne cocktails. At night the sandwiches disappear and a few more entrees are added, but it’s largely the same menu. The wine list is a bit scatterbrained at the moment, although there are plenty of interesting offerings. and it’s in the process of an upgrade. This space was problematic when it was Press 101 because of an awkwardly placed ordering counter and bar. That has been corrected, and there is now an elegant indoor dining room in addition to the sidewalk area. Food and beverage pricing is very reasonable. Bistro CloClo is a great addition to Southwest Orange County, which really needed an authentic French restaurant. The fact that is it a Bistro with great ambience is a real plus.
