I went to this restaurant few years back and it was amazing. me and my family are vegetarian and they have really good and tasty variety of items. we really loved Indo Chinese, Khoya Kaju and Garlic naan and it was the best

Loved their chai. Close to hyderabadi irani chai in town … Though tucked away inside. Different decoration . Food is awesome :-)

This place is fast becoming the reason of my frequent trips to Orlando. As soon as I start craving authentic Indian food, Bombay Café comes to the rescue. It’s a small place, hidden away in a plaza packed with other Indian shops. Apart from the usual main course, I love this place for how it recreates the flavors of Indian street food. The papdi chaat, golgappe, samosa chaat, gobi manchurian all have a distinct flavor which sets it apart from the regular Indian restaurants in the Florida area. The staff and service is excellent and makes you feel at home. I’d highly recommend this place for people looking for some spicy, authentic, tasty Indian food.

This place is one of the best kept secrets in the Orlando culinary world! My wife and I went a few weeks back because we were both craving vegetarian/vegan Indian cuisine. We wanted to try somewhere new. We were NOT disappointed. We — of course — got an order of veggie samosas and garlic naan bread. OHMAN was the naan good! I ordered the Paneer Makhani and my wife had the Chana Palak. She enjoyed hers very much, though I didn’t try it. The Makhani was fantastic! Amazing, authentic flavors. The cheese was excellent. I wanted more and more! This place is very small, and well-hidden. I hate driving to this area of town(OBT/FL Mall area), but will again. But, you can drive right past it if you aren’t careful. Also, you have to walk down an indoor hallway, past an Indian grocery store. But, that’s no big deal. The staff was great and greeted us with smiles and warmth the moment we walked in. Our server was attentive, nice and helpful. We brought our 9month old son and they made room for his car seat without any objections. This place looks like it can be packed, especially given how small it is. BUT, we didn’t have to wait at all. We went for a late lunch around 3pm, so I can see it being much busier at peak hours. Will definitely go back! a must for those who love Indian cuisine!

Really tasty food! I am from the UK and am a huge fan of Indian food and this is one of the best I’ve had in the US! We had the samosa chaat, aloo gaab and a dosa and it was all yummy! Great service and great prices! Very traditional.

We were staying in Orlando for two nights and needed to find a restaurant that had vegetarian food only. Bombay Café was excellent. We started off with vegetable spring rolls and we also ordered Channa masala, Hakka vegetables, paneer makhni, naan, and vegetable fried rice. This turned out to be an excellent choice for a fully vegetarian meal. We recommend it highly as the taste and quality were excellent.

Came back here for lunch with mum and we shared an Idli platter(dug into this dish so quickly forget to take in photo) and and a Uttapam(without chili and less oil) and it was scrumptious! The food is fantastic and service is so charming. Veera is super sweet and so attentive — she and the chef make a winning combination for this wonderful restaurant! In fact I reckon this place keeps getting better with age and absolutely recommend this restaurant — this is my go to place for my Indian food fix!

Bombay’s one of Orlando’s hidden gems. Very friendly and obliging service. Exceptional vegetarian flavors. You look around, you see Indians in the know eating here, and maybe you start to think there must be something wonderfully authentic about this place. I go for the garlic naan, samosas, rasam, chana masala add potato, and Love it. Each and everytime. I’ll say, it’s not for everyone here, and might be adventuresome for some. While the space and the service and the food is really nice, they’re in a worn out old plaza on OBT and that’s that. I’ve brought dates here that gasped until we settled in on the beautiful space Bombay is. Spice house is in the same plaza(think Imperial British Indian grocery) and that makes for some fun shopping too but the last many times I’ve been, checking out has taken so long we abandoned our intended purchases. And damn it, used to Love trying new sodas and chocolates on our way out!!! Bombay used to be associated with Tamarind in Winter Park but I’m not so sure that’s so anymore. I’ve been to both and never saw the connection.

This place is incredible. I was so charmed by this restaurant that I was going up to 3 times a week. I had to give myself a break. First, the server is so sweet. She helps you out with any questions if you are unfamiliar with Indian cuisine. I order the Chana Masala, a chickpea curry dish. It’s not included in the menu, but they are so fantastic that they will prepare it, if you ask. Anything in their menu will be exquisite. Try the samosas, the naan, the roti… oh, heck just try everything!

Overall nice place for vegetarians. Location and approach to restaurant is little weird but that ls no big issue. Staff was very helpful but was slow. Food was really good. We ordered bhel, dabeli and paper dosa. Quantity of the each dish was really big. Flavors were good and ingredients were fresh too. Served hot. Not so expensive.

I have nothing but positive things to say about this place other than the fact that its slightly hidden in this Spanish Style building which otherwise I would have assumed it as a Mexican Restaurant if it wasnt named Laxmi plaza. We stopped by this place at around 5 Pm which is a rather odd time to be at any restaurant especially Indian .We were greeted and seated by this young lady who was super friendly which I dont see often at a Indian restaurant . We got our food one after the other within a few minutes and every single item was super delicious and authentic. Onion Chili dosa was Perfect with Coconut Mint chutney and Idli & vada were a perfect size for the price. Veg Manchurian gravy and Butter Naan were also perfectly made and I couldnt stop myself asking the lady about the chef whom she said was Indian but not south Indian, but he did a fantastic job on the south indian dishes we got. I am sure this place would be on my list to visit on my next visit to Orlando !

I’m not that familiar with Indian food but as a long-time vegetarian(technically pescetarian but I try not to confuse people because they usually think it’s a religion), I knew I couldn’t go wrong and I’d have a large selection. The restaurant is located inside of «House of Spices» which are basically a bunch of new Indian shoppes all located next to each other. Greeted very warmly and I was suggested to try one of the two lunch specials. I selected the North Indian Thali and this is what it consisted of: — Dal(lentils) — Vegetable of the day(cauliflower) — Papad(thin, crispy, crêpe-like food) — Naan(leavened flatbread) — Dessert(some ball of bread soaked in a sweet syrup) — Pickles(couldn’t handle the flavor, it was too intense — Raita(basically a dip) — White rice The above all came served on a platter along with my selected main dish of Aloo Gobi(cauliflower and potatoes cooked in a thick sauce). Good was great and was very filling. Lots of flavor(pickles were a bit too much for me though) and service was very warm. I would come back here once I do a little bit more research into Indian food so I can make a more informed decision(eg. I wouldn’t have picked raita if I knew what it was beforehand).

I am a vegetarian now a days. First time here. We will come back. Their prices are really cheap compare to other Indian restaurants. No wine :(but everything we order was delicious. We order: Samosa Chaat, Tandoori Momos and Panee Makhani all with 2 garlic Naan. Good portions we had a to go box.

I dined at this place for 2 nights during my visit to Orlando last week. I am a vegetarian so I liked this place better as everything on the menu was vegetarian and lots of options for me to try. The staff was courteous and service was quick. I am giving this place 3 stars only because I felt that their food lacked basic spice levels and richness of Indian food. The food felt fresh but boring as they toned down the spice levels way too low. For example — I ordered Mysore Masala Dosa; the dosa looked very good and was done well but sambhar and chutney were bland so naturally it makes a nice dosa boring. My suggestion to the owners and staff — Please ask for desired spice levels to the customers and adjust it accordingly otherwise your preparation is very good. Also, the washroom outside the restaurant needs major renovation and some decent quality toilet papers. Seriously, those toilet papers are worse than the ones you can find in Walmart washrooms.

We had ordered takeout and then we reach there to pick up food up we were told that their credit card machine was not working and they were only excepting cash. We did not have enough cash on hand to pay for the food and there was no ATM in the complex. We had to write down our credit card number along with all the other details in a book where other people had also written the same. The seemed a little shady, they could’ve certainly info on that on the phone when we were placing the order. Other than that, the food was good. Cannot comment on service

5 stars for the food, and for the person in charge of managing. But overall poor management, I guess they are so famous that they are so busy. We went on Christmas night, we were visiting Orlando. Looking at the crowd, we wanted to take food to go, but the manager pushed us to sit there and eat, which was nice. Food was fine, all veggie. Overall if they fix managing the crowds, then this place is definitely worth it.

Not only was the service here excellent… It was one of the best Indian foods I’ve had ever. We ordered about 5 – 6 dishes and shared between 5 of us. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. I’m so sad this from is far from where I live, because I would return here ALLTHETIME if I could. Oh… Warning: the place is in the back of a mini shopping plaza. Don’t be alarmed or anything… The place is sooo worth it!

I am not a local person so found this place through Unilocal !! Amazing food, loved everything that we ordered. We don’t eat onion and garlic due to religion restrictions so they made Jain food for us and it was delicious. The place looked little run down from outside but inside was much better. Service could have been better but I still can not take away the 5Stars just because of such an amazing food. Loved that fact that I can get all North Indian, South Indian and Indo-Chinese food under one roof, this will be my go to place everyone time I visit Orlando !!

Terrible place. Worst service I’ve ever had. Came in and had to leave because one of the owners came peeking around the corner then I could hear them making fun of my ethnicity in the kitchen. Unacceptable, racist, I wouldn’t eat their food even if it was the best in the Orlando. Came in hungry for some samosa chaat, and left within 5 minutes of being seated. Absolutely unbelievable. The hostess had hickeys all over her neck, very unprofessional. Go there if you don’t have class, and be sure to leave a good tip if you eat. They definitely need the charity.

First thing: they don’t care about the customers. Our waiter was so late in attending to us that we almost wanted to leave. I wish we left. The food served(onion ravva dosa) has human hair on it. I am not sure why am I still giving 2 stars to it, may be because I ate here so many times that I wanted to give these guys some credit. But hair on food — Never GO!

This is the best vegetarian indian restaurant hands down. I loved the somosas and my vegetable korma was so flavorful(and not spicy which makes me happy). Our server was a doll and brought a few things out for us to try without charging us. Many of the dishes are also vegan or can be made vegan so just ask. The place was busy with many Indian and Pakistani families(all the natives are clue that this meal is gonna be GOOD!). It is located in the same building an indian grocery so if you find you cannot get enough curry head over the the store where many things are very reasonably priced.

Bombay Café is by far one of the best Indian Restaurants we have ever had all around the US! If you live or are visiting Orlando. I highly suggest it! They are also very helpful if you are unsure of what to get.

If you ever pull a muscle or sprain yourself, head to Bombay Café and ask for their dosas. They will give you one, along with an ice cold cup of chutney which you can apply to the injured area. This place is abysmal even for an Indian restaurant. The food is sub-par. I got the«ragra pattice»(for heaven’s sake, it’s patties) and I got a scalding plate of peas in some salt-less sauce. I got the Jaipuri Dosa and while the dosa itself was passable, the sambar and chutney were horrible. If a girl made this when a potential groom came to visit her, she would be sent to an orphanage that very night by her own parents. I visited Orlando after a while, and when I checked in, Unilocal said it was my second check-in. Looks like I don’t learn from my mistakes. Don’t go here. I repeat. Abandon this seedy restaurant. There is a reason it’s always deserted.

Heck. Yes. This place is at the end of a long, obscure hallway, sandwiched by Indian markets and clothing stores. You may feel a bit out of place walking down the hallway but don’t worry! This restaurant is fabulous for newbies to Indian cuisine! The service is great and I was so excited about how open the server was with explaining each dish to us! I started with the Samosa Chat(Indian small street dishes) and it was AMAZING! It was like a deconstructed samosa in a bowl(with Tamarind sauce baked right into it… MMMMMmmmm!). This dish was a bit spicy, but manageable, and the flavors were on point! This was the favorite dish and my friends and I were all able to share. I’m a bit of a baby when it comes to spicy food so I definitely recommend getting a Mango Lasi to sip on between spicy bites! For my main dish I ordered the Masala Dosa and oh, man, was it big! The sauces were great and the giant crêpe was sooo flavorful(even on its own, without the dips). Be prepared to use your hands! You’ll be ripping pieces off of the Dosa(crêpe) and using it to grab potato and sauces. I absolutely love this dish because it is easy to share, huge, and pretty fun to eat, tbh! I wish I had had enough room in my stomach for dessert, but next time I’ll be ordering the Gulab Jamun(sweet dumplings) for sure!
