This place is supper club awesome. Cocktails are refreshing. Salads are wonderfully light. Bread is warm and like bread cotton candy. We had portobello fries app. It was gorgeous. Wife loved her fried shrimp. I had the bison ribeye. It was tender and explosively juicy. Medium rare and cooked to perfection. Highly, highly recommend.

I’ve eared at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse in several different cities and always been very happy with the quality of the meal and experience. That was definitely not the case in Orlando. I ordered my T-Bone medium rare and the filet side was medium well and the strip side was medium and tough. I returned the steak and asked for a ribeye that was very poorly seasoned(I don’t think they put anything on it) and it was painfully tough. I hate to seem nitpicky, but when you pay $ 50 for a prime steak, it shouldn’t be tough and should have flavor. And I’m not the only person at my table who felt that way.

Used to be a great place for the best T-Bone in town. They tried changing the whole place and now it’s closed. Not sure about the other locations. Sad.

Service: we waited about 30 mins to order drinks and then about 15 mins later till our drinks arrived. Server was great when he was around. Food: we ordered surf turf which consisted of lobster tails and steak… my friend’s filet Mignon came out dry… should be impossible to mess that up… recommend trying another steak house

I remember Charley’s being so much better than what we experienced tonight. First, we made reservations on OpenTable for 7pm. We checked in and asked if we could have a drink at the bar first since we arrived at 6:30. The hostess said«no and we were being seated now».(Got the feeling they just wanted to get us in and out quickly) We ordered the scallops appetizer and it was ok. My husband ordered the Salmon and he was not pleased. It came with this onion, mayo crust that killed the Salmon. I ordered the Mixed Grill and it was not to my standards. First, we got our salad and we had not even taken one bite and our entrees came. They said they would put new entrees on the fire but when we finally got our entrees(and we’re ready) it was cold. We did not see our waiter the once after we got our entrees. Not once. Sad when you drop that kind of coin and go back to the hotel to order a pizza but that’s what we did. Note to manager: Make sure that when entrees come out not a second after salads have been placed down on the table to make sure the entrees were actually fresh and new and not cold.

Charley’s Wildfire Grille– if you loved Charley’s Steakhoue for years like we did– prepare to be dissappointed– like we were tonite. This used to be our special occassion go to place– but we will be looking for a new one. Forget free steak on your birthday– gone unless you pre-join their club. New menu– new waiters– crappy appetizers, no more salad bar, not even a choice of dressings, even the once great steaks were dissappointing, crappy mini desserts– so sad– another legendary steakhouse bites the dust… so not impressed any longer. They’ve sunk to below Outback in my book…

Delicious. I am gluten intolerant. I ordered the cheese and bacon mashed potatoes and the waiter came to the table to tell me that the chef said the base had a small amount of gluten. He brought me the broccoli instead.

We arrived 15 minutes early for 7:30 reservation on a Friday night. The hostess(young girl) was rude and unwelcoming. We were seated immediately since the place was about 20% full. The waiter arrived in a matter of moments to take our drink order. Although he spoke so quietly we had to ask him to repeat everything. That lasted the entire evening. When he returned to take our order(about 10 minutes), we were disappointed to learn they no longer had Gator on the menu, even they say they do online. We all got the Charley’s Beefsteak 5 course meal. Two us got the Filet, one go the rib-eye, and one the chateaubriand. Appetizers…I got the calimari. It was pre-packaged frozen garbage and unpalatable. My mother got the colossal shrimp cocktail. Nothing to write home about. My wife got the french onion soup. She liked it. It was very cheesy but not overly salty. My father got the escargot. He said it was one the best he’s had. Unfortunately, the only salad option is their house salad, which they waste time preparing table side. I suppose they think it makes them feel friendly, but it’s really a waste of time. It was not as bad as the salad itself. If you are trying to «rebrand» yourself, you need to give people a choice. Entrees.First, my filet(supposed to be medium-well) was throughly cooked on the top 3rd of the steak(which was probably and inch and a half thick). The rest however was raw. My wife’s filet(medium) was undercooked. Plus, each of the filets had huge slivers of fat in it. As anyone would know, one of the appeals of a filet is no fat. My mother’s chateaubriand was overcooked and my father’s rib-eye was undercooked. He didn’t care because he’ll eat anything. Not mention they were all ice-cold when they came out. I guess that is why when we placed our order at about 7:35, we didn’t receive it until 9:00. Sides…3 got the baked potato which they weren’t terrible. I got the smashed potatoes which were actually quite good. Deserts…Deserts were passable, but no reason to go back. Service…We had empty water cups at one point for a good 45 minutes. This despite the waiter coming to our table at least 5 times. Good service fills those cups whether you ask for it or not. It took another attempts asking for a bag for the leftovers. We didn’t leave until about 10:30. 3 hours we were there. That’s ridiculous. Mediocre food, poor service and poor décor is a recipe for failure. If this restaurant were $ 10 cheaper and 10 minutes away from my house, I still would not go there. It’s location is a turn-off as well. Spend a few extra dollars and go somewhere else, like Flemming’s or The Palm. They cost more, but you get what you pay for apparently. Oh yes, we called ahead to see what the dress code was. They told me on the phone it was more dressy. When we got there, however, we saw many people in shorts and t-shirts. That should have told us from the start what we were getting into.

I loved the bartenders and drink specials. They let you order a bottle of wine at the bar for half off during happy hour to later use at your dinner table. I ordered the Kansas City Bone-In Strip and hated it. Honestly, I’m not sure what to expect from that cut. I rarely eat meat and this stuff was mostly fat and very disappointing. When I told the server she seemed unconcerned. My dinner mate also complained that what they were passing off as grouper was not at all a grouper fish. He’s a chef so I guess his opinion pulls some weight and he got a discount. If it’s your birthday they give your table free little shot dessert glasses. I selected tiramisu and it was total crap. It was mostly icy cold cake. All in all you get what you pay for. It was very cheap.

Visited Charley’s on 2÷10÷13. While advertised as the original Charley’s, it’s a far cry from the original. The service was agonizingly slow and the food mediocre at best. I would not return or recommend to others.

from start to finish… a disappointment. We chose this restaurant because it was a special occasion and we expected to have a memorable birthday experience. Appetizer as recommended by our server… gator tail and potato skins Gator tail was okay, but the sour cream must have been an afterthought stolen from the baked potato. Potato skins with bacon bits had to have been have been made days earlier. Entrees(there were 6 of us).rib eye. thin unevenly cooked. Some overdone and some too rare. Mashed potatoes … gluey. Salad … iceberg ho hum Dessert was served in little glasses with serving sized spoons which did not fit into the glass. The outside window view of the kitchen«open pit» revealed empty boxes sitting on top of the cold unused grill. This used to be a fine dining steakhouse. Sad :(

This location is now called Charlies Wildfire Grille. They streamlined the menu and lowered the prices. You can now get a 5 course feast for $ 29.95 which includes filet steak, an appetizer, a salad, a side dish and desert. All wonderful and just as flavorful as ever. The food is still wood grilled.

I have not been here in many many years. So yesterday some family came into town and they always wanted to try Charlie’s so we went ahead and ventured there, I wasn’t too excited because I know better streak can be had elsewhere and usually try to stay away from chains specially if steak its the subject at hand. however, I must say that I was very impressed with the quality of the ribeye and the punch of flavor it packed. it was one of the best steak I’ve had in a lonnnng time. I was honestly not expecting it to be that good. I’m very discriminating when it comes to steak so trust my words when I tell you that these ribeye was out this world delicious! We also had 3 appetizer; giant scallops wrapped in bacon, lobster bisque and sirloin carpaccio. All 3 of them were very good. Again I was impressed. Everyone else seem to be extremely pleased with the steaks. My wife’s uncle claimed to be the best steak he’s ever had in his life even though his was prepared well-done. The only downfall of the night was my wife’s chicken which was over cooked and dry, and it is the reason why they are getting 3 stars from me. Other than that the service was ok and food came in a timely manner. I don’t know if I will ever I comeback since I’m all about supporting our locals and staying away from chains but i can say that my experience at Charley’s was very pleasing.

A perfect meal, plain and simple. One of the best filets I’ve ever head. The Lobster Cappuccino was god-like. Excellent wine list, and terrific sides. Service was top-notch as well. Looking forward to going back.

This is my go to birthday dinner place, because there aren’t too many places you can go to that will knock off $ 22 from your bill, and serve up a great steak at the same time. I’ve eaten here numerous times, and have eaten everything from that daunting 50oz. master cut porterhouse, to the rib-eye, and everything in between. The steaks are typically done correctly to your preference, and the wood grill adds a nice flavor to the steak that you don’t get everywhere. The service was also quite good, as our waiter was on top of drink refills, menu questions, and everything in between. I was unaware of this before my visit, but they offer a «beat the clock» steak special, where if you order before 6:30PM, you can get a 22oz. strip with 3 different choices of seafood, for $ 24. It is a rather fantastic deal, and one that each of us at the table took advantage of. After dinner, we were offered to sign up for their VIP club, which is a great deal and will pull me in on other days that are not my birthday, as you get a $ 25 gift card for signing up. My only knock on Charley’s would be that they could not commit to whether or not you were getting a USDA Prime or Choice cut of meat. Many upscale steakhouses will confirm this for you, and there is a noticeable difference(at least to this meat lover there is).

Charley’s is just simply amazing. I’ve been coming here for a good 15 years and will continue to do so for the next 15. They are pricey, but you know you’re getting what you pay for. I’ve typically ordered the«Fabulous Filet»(it’s not on the menu, but you see it when you walk in — a 20 oz. filet Mignon), but this time went for a little more stomach-friendly 12 oz. filet. If I was 80 and didn’t have any teeth I could eat this as easily as I did last week. GREAT service, great atmosphere, EXCELLENT food! Loved the onion soup on the salad bar!

Big fan of Charlie’s Always dependable. Excellent choice aged cuts. grilled to perfection with that wonderful citrus wood flavor. Always excellent service. Atmosphere is nice. We love Vito’s and Ruth Chris and all those other excellent steakhouses. But Charley’s you get the same or better cuts and service with a little less cost for the same.

Heavenly goodness in the form of beef. The best cooked, seasoned, and cuts of steak I ever had. just thinking about it is making my mouth water. Really there are only two things that disappointed me here, the sour dough bread wasn’t very sour, and pepsi not coke. But to be honest they could have served Micky D’s fries as the only side and I would still give them a 5 on the steak alone.(yes it really is that good)
