Good mother of heaven. This place is amazing. Great deals! Very affordable! Delicious, soft, and made with love desserts! The gentleman was extremely approachable and greeted us with enthusiasm. He explained the different choices today and really just welcomed us in. May be dangerous to my diet, but I will be back many times! Had the turtle and brookie brownies! 2 for $ 2.50!

This small cake store is hidden away on West Colonial and if you don’t know it’s there, you’ll miss out on terrific cakes and cake pops! I found this small shop thanks to Unilocal and since my discovery, I have been back multiple times. We are hooked on their cake pops which are exactly as they sound, moist cake on a stick. They offer multiple flavors that include: Chocolate, Vanilla, Key Lime, Peach, Peanut Butter, Cookies & Cream and a few others. They also offer whole cakes, slices of deliciousness, homemade cookies and let’s not forget the amazing cupcakes! Everything is made on premises from scratch and you get what you pay for. The cakes they have on display are six layer’s and they look mouth watering. The shop itself is charming with it’s few tables and homey décor. They offer specials which are posted on a blackboard and you can see those specials on one of the pictures I’ve posted. The service has always been inviting and friendly and for m the pricing of the items is spot on. I’ve said it many times, you get what you pay for and this is true for Cake In The City. This cake shop is located on W Colonial and Apopka Vineland Rd in the small strip mall across the street from Sam’s Club… stop by and indulge in some Cake Pops!

Way overpriced for what you get. Came in, wanted some sweets. Asked the price. Was shocked… And left. Not worth it

I’m so pleased to have this delicious bakery across the street from me. However that could be dangerous! They have delicious cupcakes and so far my favorite item is the pound cake! I love that it is family run and everyone is so friendly.

This a great little place tucked away in a small shopping plaza. The cakes are amazing, frosting is nice and light. I absolutely loved their carrot cake, it had walnuts and was very moist. Cake pops are a great way to taste the variety of flavors they offer. Red velvet and key lime cake pops were my favorite for sure. A slice of cake will run you $ 5 and cake pops are $ 2 a piece. I do think that pricing a cupcake and cake pop $ 2 does not make sense to me.

If you have no time frame for an event or party. And you have hours of your day to kill in the Hiawassee/Vineland area… Then this place is for you! The only reason I am giving them 1 star is because the cake itself was good in my opinion. Most of my family did not like the cake. They felt the cake was dry, and the fondant was almost inedible. I ordered my college graduation cake from this bakery 2+ months prior to my graduation. The baker agreed that the cake would be completed on the day of my graduation by 11:00am. That day, I arrive between 11:30 — 11:45am to pick up the cake, and it was not ready. The cake was not completed until 12:17 pm!!! If that weren’t bad enough, the baker brought the cake out front in the box, and then remembered that she had not taken a picture of the cake. So she unboxed the cake to take a picture of it. After unboxing the cake, she gets a personal phone call on her cellphone and goes into the kitchen to talk and giggle on her phone… instead of taking the picture of her cake. So I tell the cashier that I have to go, I can not wait for her to take a picture because I have to be on campus by 1:15pm. The baker then hangs up her phone, and has what appeared to be her daughter take a quick picture of the cake then they quickly box my cake up so I can leave… almost 2 hours past agreed upon pick up time. While my cake looked exactly like the picture I had e-mailed them 2months prior, and while it tasted fantastic… neither of these 2 things outweigh the level of unprofessionalism that I encountered at this bakery. The bakers inability to have my product completed on time caused me to rush on my graduation, and I was unable to take pictures prior to my graduation. Had this cake been a last minute order, I may have some leniency on the cake being delayed, but as everything was confirmed in e-mail and in-person when I came in to put a deposit down… I give no leniency for my time lost. When you spend $ 130 on cake for your graduation, you expect to receive adequate service. Also, they were not apologetic about the delay, nor did they acknowledge it. There was also no discount offered, or attempt to right this wrong. Do not go here, there are other bakery’s in Orlando that are more professional.

We stopped in on our way home from lunch on a weekday and though the shop was quiet, they were still extremely friendly. They were able to explain all the flavors of cupcakes to us(there were nearly 20 in the case!) along with the cake flavors and cookie flavors and pricing. The cookies were soft and delicious(red velvet with a cream cheese frosting and a classic chocolate chip) and the cupcakes(chocolate chip chocolate and pumpkin spice) were AMAZING. I’ll definitely be back to try more flavors, and I can’t wait until my birthday in a few months to order more, too :)

Their baked goods are absolutely divine. Very very delicious moist flavorful stuff. I had the peach cobbler cupcake and the beauty and the beast cupcake. Also a slice of chocolate cake filled with chocolatety goodness. Their cupcakes actually taste like a piece of moist cake has been cut and given to you instead of the spongy dry stuff you get at the large chain stores. The cupcakes were $ 3 a piece and $ 6 for a slice of cake. It was worth every penny. You will understand once you’ve tried it. It’s a great place to go for a special treat and want something special/one of a kind. A very unique baked good place with different stuff baked everyday. I’m definitely going to go back.

Today was my first visit and I just left like 15 minutes ago and already this place is my favorite. Have you ever had a cake pop so moist you had to take a stash to a quiet hidden corner to indulge? Well, if you’re looking for that experience, come here! I can’t get over how moist the cake pops are. Not only, but they run dialy specials: — Tuesday: $ 1 mini cupcakes — Wednesday: $ 1 cake pops — Thursday: 2 for 1 cookies — Friday: Happy hour — 2 for 1 cupcakes from 4 – 7 They are closed Sun-Mon, but open 10a-7p Tue-Sat. They had a wonderful assortment of cupcake flavors, traditional cakes, cookies, cheesecakes, pies, and they also offer custom cakes. And, for those who are interested in some alternative options, they offer Gluten Free and Vegan cupcakes! This place is family owned and operated and their owners and staff are very personable and friendly. I’ll be coming back… in fact, I just set a meeting reminder in my calendar to come back next Wednesday!
