I love CSC! The staff is so friendly and the food is delicious! My favorite is the Luau Lydia but they have a flavor for everyone, ask for samples before ordering, unlimited samples folks, even the sides too! Download the app to get points for each visit. You get a ton of food for the price. I come here often and have never been let down, everything is always flavorful and made to perfection! If you love chicken salad you must try this place!

The chicken salad is pretty tasty, particularly the«Sassy Scotty» and the«Classic Carole» I went for the Sassy Scotty half sandwich with a side of soup which was excellent… but rather pricey so it’s not likely I will visit all that often. It’s too bad because I liked the food and the décor reminded me of some country café… very comfortable and a good place to relax a bit and enjoy lunch. The customer service is excellent and while we were there the owner hooked us up with a free cookie which was also pretty tasty.

The perfect spot for a quick, filling, and delicious lunch! They have a flavor for every and any mood that you palate is in. They have sweet, salty, spicy, and even curry flavored chicken salad— all relatively healthy! The broccoli salad is officially my new favorite way to consume broccoli and the pimento cheese will make you melt… So good! All their deserts and cookies are superb as well. Defiantly recommend:)

Was looking forward to try this place. Agree totally with the super shredded chicken and high price for what u get. Girl at cashier was super friendly but not the two guys staring behind her back and at me. Flavors are not existent. Definitely a shame that this great location has such a bad overpriced product. Good luck

Finally a place that’s not all about fried greasy foods! I had been hearing about this place and decided to give it a try. I have to say that I immediately fell in love with the ambiance of the place. It felt like I was walking into someone’s home. I could probably sit there all day and work and not flinch. I think that it mainly has to do with the color choices and the décor. The staff is super friendly as I’m sure that they understand its most likely everyone’s first visit since they have been open for less than 60 days. They explained the different choices to me regarding the combos that they have. It can be a little overwhelming at first because there are a lot of choices. They have 15 different flavors of Chicken Salad and also offer a homemade pimento cheese. I never knew that you could have so many different flavors. If you aren’t a fan of chicken salad they do offer regular sandwiches with turkey and ham. If you’re vegetarian you still have options as the pimento cheese doesn’t contain meat and their sides are meatless as well. My first visit I decided on the Chick Trio. This gets you either 3 scoops of any flavor chicken salad you want or you can get 2 scoops and choose a side. I decided to try 2 scoops and a side. Let me preface by saying that you can ask for samples for any flavor before you commit. I chose to get the Kickin Kay Lynne and the Luau Lydia with a side of Grape Salad. The Kickin Kay Lynne is one of their spicier selections but it’s pretty darn good especially on wheat crackers which they provide. This is my favorite flavor so far. The Luau Lydia was good too but I expected a little more flavor from this one since it has pineapple in it. I guess I expected it to be sweeter than it was. The Grape Salad was the other star of the show. It’s literally whole red and green grapes in a sweet cream cheese mixture topped with brown sugar and pecans! Yum!!! I literally almost stuck my face in the container to get the remaining sauce! Not something that I would have ever considered in the past. Couple of things to note is that the chicken salad is shredded chicken and not chunks of chicken. Some people seem to have a problem with this. They offer catering which seems to be pretty reasonable. Join their rewards program for cool free stuff. They will be opening a new location in Lake Nona and it will be their first free standing location with a drive thru! Can’t wait to check it out.

This place is a gigantic rip off. Their meals are incredibly tiny for the price. The MEAL is meant to be the chicken salad and they give you one tiny scoop. They should change the name of the place to «Side Item Chick». The food was incredibly average and definitely not worth the price. A «meal» is one tony scoop of salad, a side item(which they got wrong, I asked for the pasta salad and got the broccoli, but more on that later). For two people, a small meal with a drink and soup it came out to $ 30 for what is effectively fast food. If the salad is meant to be my «meal» give me three scoops or something, not a side! The broccoli salad that I was incorrectly given was also awful, it was just some layers of raw broccoli not mixed in with the other parts of the broccoli salad. Avoid this place at all costs. They need to get their prices in order and not leave me hungry after such an expensive and lousy meal.

Ventured out to try this as a new lunch spot — and I was not disappointed. This is a cute spot with an a refreshingly friendly staff. It was nice to be approached by such friendly employees that were willing to help us figure out the menu. The restaurant was impeccably clean and just welcoming overall. The food — my boyfriend and I each got a trio which comes with three different scoops of chicken salad and crackers. It was worth it to us to try the different flavors since it was our first time, however the girl greeting at the front did mention that you can ask to sample the different types at the counter. As mentioned in a review below, the chicken salad is more of a shredded chicken rather than chunky(even a monkey could see that by looking at the pictures on the menu prior to ordering), which makes it easier to spread. I enjoyed the consistency personally. And the variety I was quite pleased with. They have basic to upscale such as a spread mixed with jalapeño, bacon and cheese to a ranch based spread. My personal favorite was the sweeter macadamia nut and pineapple. I fell in love. We will be back for more and plan on bringing friends and family. Thanks again guys!

The Quest for the New Lunch Spot. Some say it is the journey, not the destination, that matters. In this particular goal, one must consider the premise. The new come to capture the attention of the hungry. Not all will stand the test of time. But the new again will replace the fallen. Chicken Salad Chick is yet another contender in the never-ending battle over the UCF/Research Park lunch crowd. How will she fair? Only time, of course, will tell. Until then, I’ll tell you a little bit about what I think. There are 15 different flavors of chicken salad available to choose from. That’s 14 more types than I knew existed before. They must be on the burgeoning cusp of chicken salad research & development. The chicken salad of the future, today. Coming to a sandwich near you. After several minutes of being paralyzed by indecision, I went with the«Jazzy Julie» which has cayenne pepper, bacon, and shredded cheddar cheese. It was simple, but effective. Being a fan of spicy food, the heat didn’t come close to challenging me(nor did I expect it to; come on, it’s a chicken salad shop), but the cayenne added a nice flavor. Another reviewer made mention that this is not the«chunky» type of chicken salad. They would be correct. Personally, I happen to like the«not chunky» chicken salad because chicken when not seasoned/grilled is kind of boring, and the other ingredients don’t do enough to salvage it. When it’s shredded up like this, the ingredients tend to mesh together and create a more consistent flavor profile. But if you prefer chunky, you’re just out of luck. Anyway, I’m no connoisseur of chicken salad, so what do I know? All I can really say that it was slightly better than the chicken salad sandwich from Chick-fil-A, which is the last time place I got one. Another positive: the side items. If you’re looking for fries, you will be disappointed. But you can literally get fries everywhere around this area. So I welcome the healthier side options like broccoli salad, grape salad, fruit salad, pasta salad. I went with the pasta salad because I’m on a «gain» diet and need all the carbs I can get. It’s not going to win any awards and the portion size left a bit to be desired, but it was tasty. Lastly, they included a cookie with a meal. Once again, not an award winner, but hey, it’s a cookie, it’s included in my meal, of course I’m going to eat it and be pleased about it. Definitely a plus. All in all, I thought everything was good. It’s definitely towing the line between 3 and 4 stars(I think the cookie pushed it over to 4). This review is a bit delayed — I actually went for lunch the 2nd day they opened. It was surprisingly chill and not busy at all. Which makes me fear for this place’s longevity. But who knows? Maybe they’ll be able to carve out a niche market for sorority girls looking for a healthy lunch option. Honestly, to be competitive around here, you have to go all-out with grease and meat. Which is unfortunate, because I think we could use more places like Chicken Salad Chick. It’s light yet satisfying. I recommend it if that’s what you’re looking for.

Just opened right across from the university. As I’m a fan of chicken salad I was looking forward to trying this place. The service was excellent– very friendly staff that got my to-go order out fast. Portions were good– I got the trio with two types of chicken salad and pimento cheese. Visually it looked really good but I thought the overall taste was bland. I am a little bit biased as I really like big chunky home-style chicken salad, but this place blends it so that it is more of a spread. That constancy reminds me more of one of those old food dispensers seen in hospital cafeterias where the carousel spins and you open a plastic door to get a wrapped chicken salad made with heavily processed spread. I’d really like to see them change and instead of mincing the chicken to the point of a spread, maybe give an option to have a chunky chicken salad. As mentioned I didn’t think the three flavors were over the top– not enough to make me want to rush back for a visit. I got the Dixie Chic, Jalapeño Holly and the pimento cheese. As mentioned before, the portions were good, but my lunch was close to 10 bucks… which actually is a lot for 3 scoops of Deli goods. I don’t think I will be back but for those of you that will go there know that you might like the spread-style chicken salad… and you will get really good service.

A new place to eat in Orlando opened up today! Chicken Salad Chick off Alafaya Trail and University. They had a special for their Grand Opening for the first 100 people would receive a card for a free scoop of chicken salad for 16 weeks. I was about 10th or so in line. Woohoo! I got a card. I was the first one there but it opened at 11 and I was there at 10 so I went and grabbed a friend. Lunch was fantastic I had the Summer Plate, I ate it before I thought of snapping a picture. I do have a picture of my to go for dinner tonight to share with my hubby! Everyone was very friendly and we had a great time! Had some samples, I will definitely be back and tell all my friends. Glad it opened up in Orlando and wishing you all the success! #chickensaladchick #happychick
