Not much to tell other than I paid a cab $ 30 to get to this shop when it said hours open when there was NOONE to be found. I waited my whole trip with to come here to just not have it open. I called and texted the number listed and nothing… Thanks!

400 sq ft of great oddities. The owner was extremely talkative and super nice. I ended up buying quite a few things including a a mummified bisected pig, cadaver make up, and more. I was not disappointed one bit. Will definitely be back.

I love this little shop! The owners are super friendly and have created a one of a kind shop in Ivanhood! I hope that one day they are able to move to a bigger shop. The more you look, the more you see but I always feel like I am missing some treasure! For sure this shop isn’t for everyone but for those it is for, it’s heaven!

Appointment only visits, very inconvenient considering we drove 3 hours to go there. With no notice online that it was by appointment only. We understand it’s a business and they can run it as they please. It was just very heart breaking for all 6 of us involved. We will be back because it’s one of a kind but it was a waste of our time.

Stopped in today and Curio certainly is interesting. Plenty of macabre and unique items tossed together in a jumble. Space is tight and prices are reasonable but still, there was not enough variety to keep my interest. That said, if you want to explore all manner of dead things, you should stop in!

If you like the unique, odd and creepy, then you must check this place out! Such a cool little thrift shop! I’ve been to this area several times and somehow I’ve never noticed Curio. My mom, brother and I stumbled upon it last week and went right in. It’s very small in there, but it’s loaded to the brim with items. Everything they carry is perfectly random. One of the first things we noticed was a large formaldehyde filled jar with a whole baby pig inside! Next to it was a photograph of a man putting the said pig jar together. We continued through, seeing some vintage toys, jewelry, books and knick knacks. The owner was at the counter and was very friendly. It turns out he is the man in the photograph making the pig jar. He pointed out to us his favorite objects in the store. One of them was a real lion rug from Africa(with lion head and all). The other was an old mortuary table. It sat propped up against the wall in the corner. I forget what year he said it was from, but it definitely looked old and had big metal straps and a bunch of tiny holes all along it. He explained that the morticians used to have to put ice under the tables to keep a body cool back then, so the holes were there to let the cool air flow to the body. Any time they got a John or Jane Doe in, they would strap them to the table, prop them upright and put them in the window for display to see if anyone passing by recognized them. Creepy! He also said that Ripley’s Believe It or Not offered him a generous amount for the table, but he couldn’t bear parting with it. If you’re looking for something different or unique, this is your place.
