Dicks Last Resort

So much fun! Went with a group of great people and appreciated the humor of the waitstaff. The sign to the bathroom was beyond hilarious. We had teenagers with us and he double checked with the parents to make sure he didn’t cross the line on the hats. The one thing we wished for is for our waiter, Kyle, to be just a little bit louder.

Overpriced for small amount of food. Place isn’t as good as the Dicks Last resort in Chicago. They weren’t very rude and it seemed they tried to hard to be funny. They also force you to purchase a souvenir cup when all you asked for was a piña colada. The drink came in a small plastic cup for $ 18. Beware and ask questions about what you want before you order otherwise your bill will be crazy expensive without really ordering any food.

Had a great time at Dick’s yesterday to celebrate my daughters 21^st pre birthday. A huge thank you to Jess and all other Dick’s team for making it special and for being accommodating. The happy birthday you suck was extra special. See you all again soon.

Food was very basic. Our server wasn’t that funny. I wouldn’t go back. Shrimpies tasted like store bought breaded butterfly shrimp. The quality of the food does not match the expensive price. I paid just about the same amount at Hash House A Go Go for waaay more tastier food and extremely huge portions. Look them up before you waste money.

This place was reasonably worthwhile when they had unlimited snowcrab legs and fries for $ 25 on tuesday, however, I just went back tonight and that has been discontinued.
So, one shrimp dinner (pretty good) and one fish and chips (awful) and a fruit punch in a mason jar (price wasn’t listed, ended up a monstrous $ 11) later, I can safely conclude there is no reason to bother with this place ever again (unless unlimited crab comes back).
The sassy waiters and staff are in no way a bad thing. That adds to the experience.

If you’ve been to Dicks you’ll know they are very rude and give you a hard time… it’s all part of the schtick and atmosphere…
No problem. We’ve done it before. This one was different. They tried to sit us right next to another group (same table) with another group, when though there was literally 15 open tables. Kind of threw a fit when we said a didn’t want to sit there.
Waitress was funny. made us laugh., was crude, but apologized in advance. Food was average nothing to brag about. Expensive as well.
Dicks was funny the first few times, now it is just another gimmick restaurant… this one in Orlando isn’t anything special.

I can’t believe people are offended by this place… It’s hilarious! Don’t go here if you don’t have a great sense of humor. Brandon did an amazing job and really entertained my kids so much! They had an amazing time. THANK YOU! The drinks were really awesome too.

I’ve wanted to go here for years and decided to take the family out on my B-​day to this place. I read several reviews prior to going so here is my take…
Food— we had 11 in our party, a few ordered the ribs-​n-​chicken. Some said they were great, others said not so great. I ordered the chicken fried chicken with jalepeno sauce. It was good. My wife ordered and ‘loved’ the salmon. Overall food was ‘OK’, none of our food was ‘bad’ or terrible. All dinner entrees are $ 16+
Drinks— again after reading reviews I decided to simply order Beer since I knew it could not be made week. One specialty drink that was ordered tasted like it had NO alcohol in it. However the «crappy hour» (happy hour) margaritas tasted well and were enjoyed by everyone who ordered them.
Service— Everyone had a GREAT time! However our server could have been better. She was doubling as the bar tender also, so we watched all the tables around us get there ‘hats’ with sarcastic sayings on them and their servers really digging into them and having fun. we were right up front so we heard our server tell her co-​workers (regarding our hats)… «there’s too many of them»… another server asked if she wanted help and she said «if you want I don’t care»
Slowly but surely we all got our hats and the ‘sayings’ on them were hysterical. Like I said we all had a great time and our server… when she was serving us was good but service could have been better.

Our party had ages 3 yrs to 84 yrs … good for all!!!

This place sucks! Food was awful and overpriced! Waiter was not even funny. Kyle was rude and slow! I work in psych and my patients would do a better job. They charged us for something without telling us. Don’t go here!

Food — mediocre at best. But you don’t go to Dick’s Last Resort for the food. The alligator was pretty tasty though.
Service — outstanding.
Waitress yelled at someone for using their phone while she was taking orders. Frankly that alone deserves 5 stars. Some of the staff were a little crass, but our guy did it with style — no swearing, all sass. Wrote funny things on our hats, took good care of us and made sure our drinks were filled and our food was prompt. Music was good, not too loud, not too quiet. We needed some silly fun and Dick’s delivered.

I’m gonna get straight to the point: don’t come here for the food. Come here only for the atmosphere (and even at that you’re risking the potential pleasantness of your evening). The food wasn’t just astronomically over priced; heck, it wouldn’t be worth it for $ 8. I’m pretty sure the bovine that my steak came from was a mere week old when killed and cut for my dinner and it tasted like over seasoned leather.
Overall, I would say skip this place. The humor can be enjoyable if you have a server who has found the balance between what’s appropriate and what should get him/​her targeted by an angry semi driver, but it’s not worth the risk to me. Orlando has plenty of other options.

Thumbs down –for the food and the service. The only sanity is the manager who walks around as the «voice of reason»
The waiters are pretty crass –even writing «I’m a single mom-don’t be cheap by the tip line» Who does that ?
The food is terrible –something you would have gotten at the frozen food section at the grocery store. And the prices are pretty over the top.
If you’re at the mall get in your car and drive to the many other restaurants in the area !

Place sucks, 22 $ for a margarita that taste like a kids juice box. And the food wasn’t worth nearly the price it cost. Won’t be going back. Paid 100 $ for two people to eat dinner, with one round of drinks! Not worth it trust me…
KEYWORD– Last Resort, especially for dinner.

We were extremely pleased with our visit. Our server was fantastic! I can’t remember the last time I have laughed so much. The atmosphere in the restaurant was awesome– we had other employees messing with us as well as our server, and we were laughing along with people from other tables as well. This is not the place to go if you are thin skinned! The insults were all in good fun. The entire staff was amazing.
The food was «okay». I wish the menu had a few more options, like a burger, or chicken sandwich, etc, and actual choices for sides. again, the food wasn’t spectacular, but it wasn’t bad either.
Drinks were very expensive and a little weak, but you get to keep the souvenir glass they come in, which is awesome!
All in all, very very expensive. Come here for the fun and experience!

So let’s be clear about one thing — DO NOT COME TO DICK’S FOR THE FOOD. Don’t.
That being said, my dinner here was one of the most hilarious and fun dinners I’ve ever had.
Highlights:
1. Some kids were in a waitress’s way and she just screamed at the top of her lungs.
2. A kid kept throwing stuff at waiters and they got together and Saran wrapped him to a chair.
3. Some waiter dragged a girl in her chair away from her friends and made her sit at a table with a random family.
4. A waiter screamed at everyone to start throwing napkins at one particular kid for no reason.
5. The waiters all write insults on a hat and put it on your head. Mine was «my farts smell like Astro glide». Some other girl had «I’m the reason boys like other boys.»
I spent much of the time joining in the napkin fights and in general just having a fun dinner. But let’s talk about the food and drinks:
I got the steak and shrimp, my friends got appetizers. My friends’ appetizers were pretty solid, but my steak and shrimp was actually quite terrible. Steak was extremely fatty and pathetically small, shrimp was small and fried without much flavor. Fries were bland and tasted like they’d been microwaved. So I basically paid twice as much for half the food, and bad food too. Don’t get the entrees here, just appetizers.
Drinks were delicious but… also pathetically weak. I had a 45 ounce margarita and didn’t even get buzzed, and I seriously have the alcohol tolerance of a twelve year old girl. If that massive margarita had more than two shots in it I’d be shocked.
All this might sound like this is a bad place, but honestly I had way too much fun here to not recommend it. I wanted to give it five stars but the bad entrees and weak drinks knock it down one. Still, I’d recommend coming here if you’re easy-​going, not overly sensitive, willing to join in on the fun and just want to grab some casual appetizers and drinks. You won’t regret it.

This is a «fun» place. It is loud, casual and friendly. Some might get offended buy the loudness. There was a paper throwing during our stay. My 4year old had fun.
Cody was our server and he was friendly.
The food is average.

Been here once and I seriously cannot emphasize how unhappy I was.
Coming in, I was excited because I thought it was going to be fun being the outgoing person I am.
Fried pickles was recommended to me by my server and I’ve never had them before. When they came, I felt like they were too salty for my liking. When I told my server, she told me to drench it in more sauce. I chuckled and then again, told her I don’t want these because they really are too salty for me! She told me to stop being a wimp and let it swim in sauce and walked away.
I can go on about leaving and not wanting my left overs & she told me to box it anyway so she can eat it, but you know, I don’t wanna go in to detail.

After reading the reviews, I didn’t know what to expect, I walked in with an open mind… our Food was better than I expected, our server was not obnoxious at all, he was rather entertaining… we had an nice lunch in a festive atmosphere.

I love the concept. The waitress was great. She was super rude and tore us apart. We aren’t sensitive. We can take it. Other than that-it’s the worst quality food you’ll ever eat in your life.
$ 22.50 for a margarita that’s ALL JUICE? I almost died when the bill came and I saw $ 45 for 2 margaritas.
If the food was decent it would’ve been a better experience. The rib eye was horrible. All nervy and fat and raw. Gross. I couldn’t even cut it w the steak knife. It also had the oddest taste. My daughter said her meat tasted funny as well.
Even though we had fun and we are locals we won’t go back. $ 200 is too much for horrible food.

Awful, just awful! Food, drink, price, staff, the whole package just awful!
I get the whole act about bad service being the joke but when does that become a reason to go back to a place like this? I love a bit of banter with bar staff but this is supposed to be a family place.
Over priced, some of the staff can give it out but can’t take a joke back.
No wonder the place is empty!
Avoid at all costs. Free glass or not, it’s not worth it.
Can’t comment on the food though, had 2 pints, the staff started talking about sex in front of my 5 year old and 15 year old and it was time to bounce!
