Honestly, Dollar General is really only good when you need something quick, want to avoid big lines and is near by. But I would not come here regularly because the prices are much higher than in other places. I guess they have problems with shoplifting because they have an alarm and a camera pointing at some items like laundry detergent. Overall, the place is clean and well organized. The staff I have interacted with are somewhat polite. Not my to go place but if I’m I need 1 or 2 things quick, I might go here. My husband is the one that goes here the most; I prefer to wait and go to a bigger store to do all my shopping. There’s always enough parking, so that is not a problem. They take samsung pay; but, when I tried using it it didn’t want to work.

Located in the dingy, rundown Alamo Shopping Center in Union Park, this dingy discount store shares a strip with a Bravo Supermarket, a new Asian supermarket, 1st Spring, and a bowling alley. While the people who work in the store are nice enough, the store seems dingy and disorganized. Then there are the homeless guys who camp out beside the door blasting their boom box and haranguing shoppers in Spanish all day. Apparently management is OK with that because it’s been going on for a couple of years. I don’t need to save a dollar badly enough to brave this store.
