My grandmother passed away in April, and one of the things she insisted we need to take care of after her death was a bonsai plant that has been with our family for almost twenty years. The plant itself has gone through a lot, but I’m so thankful to Elemental Bonsai & Tea Garden for re-potting our plant and giving us excellent advice on how to make sure that it lives a long and healthy life. The staff here is nice, friendly, and it’s very clear that they each have a passion for what they do and are knowledgeable about the subject. They even helped us by boxing our plant so that it would be safe on the journey home! They have an excellent assortment of teas and snacks within their shop and the atmosphere itself is very calm and relaxing.

I bought the coolest gift ever from Elemental Bonsai & Tea Garden. Months ago I had spotted these glass sphere gardens they sell, and they looked so cool! When I went back to get one there were only a couple round ones left and several tear-drop shaped. The round one looks like it holds more and was just the prettiest, so I picked that one. The employees were very nice. They packaged my sphere garden up in a box so it would be safe for the ride home. They seemed very knowledgeable about the plants. I had just a few simple questions about care of the garden, but the woman behind me in line was buying a juniper bonsai and the employee asked her a lot of questions about where it would be kept and how much light was in the area to make sure the plant would do OK. They really seem to know their stuff. In addition to the cool glass gardens they sell bonsai, succulents, Venus fly traps, pitcher plants… all kinds of interesting small house plants. They also sell tea and had a nice assortment of unique tea sets.

Located inside of the Artgeon Marketplace, this place is your one stop shop for everything Bonsai! I am a big fan of Bonsai trees so I was very impressed with the selection. They offer many different types of trees and I was told by the owner they have even more at their nursery in Kissimmee, including some rare ones which I am very curious to see. The prices on all the trees including the older ones are very reasonable for the quality you are receiving. I plan on purchasing a few in the coming weeks. The service is excellent and you will receive the benefit of learning a lot about each individual tree and how to care for them. They also offer Lucky Bamboo plants which don’t require as much maintenance.

A long time local staple and personal favorite at the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival, local bonsai nursery Elemental Nursery now has a permanent retail location at the Artegon Market, and I. Am. Stoked! In a peaceful and serene way, of course. Their stuff is beautiful, and they know what they are talking about. Even if you have the touch of death like I do with plants, they can find something that works for you. Nice way to green up your workspace.

I swear my home is going to be filled with little bonsai plants from top to bottom soon enough. I lovvvvve these little plants around me, at home and at my office. But the truth is I’m a plant woman at heart. They give me life, I give them life, what a beautiful cycle, wouldn’t you say? They add so much life to any area of your home or office.(If only I can keep my cat away from them, lol). I was just walking through Artegon Marketplace with my oldest son one day, admiring all the cute little shops, when we stumbled across this beautifully decorated plant shop with the sweetest, and most kindest gentleman who reminded me of my son. My oldest son is like his mama and loves plants, nature, and animals too, so he was equally thrilled at our new find. We browsed and took our time reading all the descriptions on each plant before we made our selections. That day we brought home four. And while browsing my son nearly jumped out of his shoes when he spotted a carnivorous plant(bug eating plant) he had studied a few years ago. You should have heard him rambling on and on about how much he knew this plant. I stood in silence and admiration. It was definitely a proud mama moment for me. He told me all about his awareness on how they work and that he thinks we need to get one because of the serious gnat problem we have become accustomed to around this time of year living in Florida.(It’s truly fascinating, and actually annoying as heck, to encounter so many gnats that are so intrusive and bothersome.) I’m definitely going to surprise him with one soon. The shop keeper was so helpful and knowledgeable about all of his plants. Before we left with our purchase he made sure to equip us with everything we needed to have a successful garden of our own. I’m especially looking forward to seeing my own coffee beans sprout from the coffee bean plant I bought. Granted, it’ll be in about two years, but I can wait. The fun for me is bringing them home, like a new family member and if you know me, I love having a big family.
